Hi, I hired to Rocco to do drawings and get the permits for a proposed basement renovation. He came over to my home, did a thorough examination, and made a number of very useful suggestions that neither myself nor my contractor had considered. The drawings were excellent and done quickly. The permits from the city came through quickly without the slightest problem. Highly recommend. Alex

I needed plans and a permit to extend my kitchen, remove a load bearing interior wall, remove 13' of exterior masonry wall and add a small addition. Rocco at Architalcan came with his assistant and took a full set of measurements which enabled him to draw up a complete set of plans for the house as it is now and for the proposed changes. Rocco's advice on possible layouts and developing a practical floor plan was more than helpful. He has the ability too see instantly what will and what will not work. Plans were drawn up, modified as required and submitted to the building department in a very short time period. Phone calls and emails are always answered promptly. I would highly recommend Rocco.

I first had contact with Rocco from Architalcan Design in 2010 for a house I had purchased and was renovating in downtown Toronto. After the initial call I met up with Rocco at the house and discussed the kind of renovation I had in mind and then Rocco took measurements of the house. Within a couple of days Rocco emailed me some draft drawings for the house. Afterwards I discussed with Rocco some changes I wanted and practically in no time he sent me revised drawings and then he proceeded to finalize the plans to submit to the City. Withing a day or 2 from submission to the city my permit was ready. In late 2019, I purchased another property and called Rocco again. After 10 years he remembered me as it was just yesterday that we had spoken last. Again we met at the property and within a few days the drawings were ready and within a another couple of days my permit was ready from the City. Since we were doing the project during Covid and the City inspectors were not coming to the site regularly, I asked Rocco to do an inspection and write a report to give to City for Structural work.. Again Rocco came right to mu house and within a day emailed me the reports that I required. In the 2 projects I worked with Rocco, I was very satisfied for his good ideas , his efficiency and reasonable fee. I would highly recommend Rocco for any projects requiring architectural services.

Rocco's expertise made it easy to obtain a building permit with the City of Toronto. He is well aware of the requirements and expectations. Throughout the process he listened to the many last minute design changes that were done which resulted in obtaining a building permit for a house exactly as expected.

Rocco helps us with drawings and permits for our interior renovation about 4 years ago and everything are ok even today. He is the best person you can find for drawings and permits on top of his vast knowledge about updated building codes. I highly recommend him and will definitely use his service again in the future.

Rocco is so knowledgeable. His experience helped me determine the best course of action for my build. His consulting experience is worth its weight in gold. He is quick to deliver and a man of his word. I will only use Rocco for my projects as he truly is the best of the best. Highly recommended.

Currently working with Rocco and his team on a complete home renovation. Getting the permit approved for the current job was challenging but Rocco was able to take care of it. We are currently building our second design of Rocco's. Both of our experiences (one small addition of a deck and stairs and the current rear addition/garage conversion) were so positive, I want everyone who wants to renovate to use him. He is so knowledgable, he thought of things I hadn't and when we called a large contract/design service for a second opinion they didn't even know half the things Rocco did....so beware those big design firms!! I recommend Architalcan Design for any of your renovation drawings for permit and even for layout and design. It will be a prompt, informed and super positive experience!

Rocco has twice helped us and both times were great experiences. The first time was for a main floor commercial renovation and the second was for the 2 residential units above. Both times he was prompt in responding, quick to act and delivered what we spoke about. He is very to the point and makes sure to let you know what is feasible and what isn't. The turn around time was great and him being able to handle everything for you is very relieving. I would not be hesitant to use him again or recommend him to someone else.

Rocco has helped me on a few projects, and always done top-notch work. The lastest job that he helped me with was a basement walk-up to the backyard. As always, he was professional, knowledgeable, and straight-to-the-point. He designed my basement walkout with my input, and got approval from the city for the permit, without any hassle and much sooner than I had expected. I have dealt with over 50 different Contractors over the course of the last 5 or 6 years, and have had some good, and some not so good experiences. Rocco is definitely the cream of the crop within his field. It is always a pleasure to work with him, and I can relax knowing that I am in good hands. I highly recommend Rocco to anyone looking for assistance with a Residential design project !!!
