Paul and the crew from PTR Carpentry framed a third floor addition on a 100 year old home. It was a challenging project tying in the old and new structures. Paul's excellent problem solving skills and can-do attitude made it go smoothly and on time. I would highly recommend Paul and PTR Carpentry and look forward to working with them on my next project.

I have hired Paul Richardson of PTR Carpentry, as a result of him being referred to me, to help in the framing aspects of my construction. He has worked with me now on 3 projects. I will hire Paul and his crew always, as he and his crew work together as a real team and the knowledge of carpentry is well understood by all. Paul is a good communicator with me at start up of any job and continually through the project to ensure compliance with owners and building code requirements are met. Paul conforms to a guaranteed start date and finish date and has always maintained it. The quality of his workmanship is exceptional and far above minimum requirements. I have worked with many in the past and none compare with what he brings to the job site. When we run into a situation where our new construction meets existing and we discover discrepancies to the matchup or when conditions dictate, we reframe to make it work; Paul is quick to come up with a solution that is sound and does not impede production. PTR came highly recommended by my neighbour. I watched them build their dormers and was impressed. I knew when the time came for my double car garage project I would seek a quote from them. I went with Paul and his crew based on their reputation as well as their price. And I wasn't disappointed. These guys are first class all the way. They were able to work from my designer's drawings with no problems, they showed up on schedule and completed the job on time as promised. All workers were courteous and respectful to my family and neighbours. At one point I wanted to deviate from the original plan and add a window. Paul accommodated my changes with no questions asked and incorporated it perfectly into the design. All cuts and joints are perfect to the millimeter. I couldn't be happier with the finished product. This is the guy to call.

Paul and his crew were by far the best tradespeople we had work on our total home renovation. Professional, great quality work, on time everyday, fair price and hard working while they were on the job site. I could not recommend anyone higher given the complete confidence and trust we built with Paul and his team. Will definitly use him again the next time we require carpentry services - he is the best. I phoned PTR Carpentry to diagnose and reinforce a poor roof framing job done by another framer. Paul came and assessed the new roof as a whole, looking at the how best to reinforce the new structure and loads with the existing structure. Not only did he properly reinforce the new roof, but he offered helpful and needed advice on other work outside his scope, taking into consideration Ontario Building Code regulations, fire and life safety, and finishing options. Him and his staff where very professional and friendly. PTR gave me peace of mind and support for making all the right decisions. I would use PTR again and recommend them highly!

I cannot speak highly enough of the skill level, professionalism, and courteousness of Paul and his team. The work was done impeccably and on time. New framing in an old house is full of challenges. Architectural plans don't explain how to marry the old with the new, or skewed and sloping with the straight and level. Paul 's remarkable skill level and extensive experience made child's play of what most other carpenters would have found difficult. The transitions were as seamless as possible. He and his team are also fast, but in no way do they cut corners. Their swiftness is the result of their extraordinary abilities and not impatience. I hope to have them back to do future renovations. We had several quotes and PTR came in the lowest. The other companies all claimed the job would take three or more days. Paul did the job in one day. I don't think the other companies were being dishonest, just that they didn't have to experience and skill level to work so efficiently and precisely. The way Paul managed his team also speaks to his qualities as a person; he got the most out of them because they were striving to keep up to his exacting standards and unceasing attention to the job. Needless to say, they cleaned everything up and left the site in great order, removing all cutoffs and debris. On the basis of my experience, every star he has earned has been richly deserved. I would recommend him without reservation. I can't wait to get the rest of of the floors in our house levelled and the framing done in our upcoming basement renovations. If Paul and his team are available, I will feel lucky.

Paul and his crew did an amazing job. In 3 days I had a fully finished deck. He has been honest and fair with his pricing and the quality goes without question. We appreciated his suggestions and ability to work with changes. Will definitely be calling on Paul for future projects.

We are working on a kitchen renovation, and I contacted Paul while he was on holidays by email. He contacted me right away, came out his first day home, and booked to come today. He has done an amazing job, and has cleaned up afterwards, and may be coming back to help with more of the work. We are extremely pleased with his service.
