Structural wall removal
We hired Paul PTR Capentry to remove a structural supporting wall. Although it was a small job, I was impressed that a company as busy as PTR doing large custom homes that they found the time to help us progress with our reno. After sending Paul some photos of what I need done, he was able to give me a very competitive quote. After dealing with some bad contractors in the past, we felt comfortable working with Paul because of all the positive reviews on Homestars. Paul and his crew showed up as promised and on time. Right away they got to work and only stopped for coffe and lunch unlike other contractors that seem to stop every 15 minutes for a smoke break. The job was done in under 5 hours and Paul also replaced the original squash block that was improperly installed by the builder. Dust was kept to a minimum and they removed all garbage. In the end, his price stayed as promised even though he upgraded the support column from wood to steel. I think many contractors regardless of what their specialty can learn from Paul's work ethic and commitment to quality. I definitely recommend PTR Carpentry to anyone who is looking for a skilled carpenter.

Removal of Load Bearing Wall
We had Paul and his team come to remove a load bearing wall between our living room and kitchen. We tried our best to ensure we had all engineering drawings and permits taken care of, but as construction goes there were a details we missed. Paul was able to speak with our engineer and trouble shoot the issues on the fly, helping guide the perfect solution. We were thrilled with the end result. The team kept the area clean. Even our engineer was so impressed with the job, he asked for Paul's information. We will use PTR again in a heart beat. No question. Thanks Paul!

Professional with great expertise
Paul and his crew professionally completed the framing of the whole house which included straightening the entire frame of this 1910 house. They were extremely knowledgable about how to complete the job and completed the job on time. Paul has an excellent team of skilled and well trained, problem solving carpenters.

Stellar
After our previous framer never showed up, I contacted Paul and he came to the rescue! I can't say enough good things about Paul and his crew. From the first time he came to quote the job, to the back and forth he did with me to figure out some unique aspects of framing our basement, Paul was incredibly helpful and professional. The day the framing was done, we ran into a pretty big hiccup. Paul handled it amazingly well and helped come up with a solution on the spot. The framing looks amazing and the clean up was perfect. There are usually some ifs, ands, or buts when it comes to these reviews, but I'd recommend PTR with zero hesitation.

Basement Framing
I had the pleasure of recently having work done by Paul and his crew at PTR carpentry. Dealing with Paul was very easy, he and his crew were both polite, professional, hard working and punctual. The basement framing we requested was completed on time and for the price quoted. Paul was available to answer any questions and helped us with some the design layout. Our basement was left free of debris and swept at the end of both days. If you need any carpentry work done and are looking for quality work and the peace of mind knowing that things will be done well, on time and for the price quoted, Paul delivered on everything that he promised. I would highly recommend them.

Basement Framing
Amazing job!! Paul and his crew are great at what they do best…FRAMING! I first met with Paul and showed him my basement and also provided him with a detailed drawing. I knew from that point forward I was in good hands. Paul gave me a quote, timeframe to start and complete and was bang on for everything he promised. PTR carpentry is very professional, knowledgeable, great to deal with, extremely clean after each day of work and very punctual. I am a picky person, trust me, Paul and his crew exceeded my expectations by far. Paul also took care of additional items that I wanted change after the framing was already done. If you want great framing, then go to PTR carpentry because that’s all they do and they do it very well. I will definitely recommend PTR carpentry to my friends and family.

Vaughan main floor Reno
The scope of work on my main floor was to install 2 beam to open up walls and do some framing in family room and raise door ways. From the initial in home estimate I knew Paul from PTR Carpentry was one one to do my work. He was punctual, knowledgeable, honest and demonstrated perfection in his work. Paul and his crew were professional and performed their work flawlessly. I could not be happier with Pauls service and personal attention. He was always available for questions and advice. Framing an older home
I contacted Paul Richardson of PTR Carpentry to reframe an older home. Paul and his team started exactly on schedule, worked with our plans, suggested enhancements as appropriate, did quality work, meeting all Building Code requirements and completed the job ahead of schedule. Basement and mudroom framing
This is the third time we've hired Paul and I would go back to him with ANY carpentry need that I have. He is knowledgeable, fair, has an incredible work ethic. What I love most about Paul is that he's a problem solver - while some contractors' reaction to a challenge is to whine and say it cant' be done, Paul meets every hurdle (and there are many with any major reno) with a positive "can do" attitude...and he gets it done and done right. Not only is he great at what he does, it's evident that he's a strong leader with his crew - they share his strong work ethic, are skilled, respectful, always on time, and always clean the job site at the end of each day. We are especially grateful to Paul for this particular project as he squeezed us in to his very busy schedule. He also removed and reinstalled our back door to our mudroom (at no additional cost) and saved us several hundred dollars. Thank you for another job well done, Paul! We look forward to the next project. :)

Erection of a 14' x 22 ' Garage
On Dec. 2nd Paul and his crew erected this garage (kit from Home Hardware, Georgetown) in 7 hours flat. They work extremely fast and efficient. They are punctual and quick yet do a remarkable job. He is a very pleasant man and professional. You feel comfortable instantly when meeting him . He is very trusting. The garage passed inspection with flying colours. You have to be patient when booking him as he is busy but worth the wait. I would hire him again down the road if the opportunity arised.
