    Large addition and full roof replacement

    If you are looking for a team to help you building up a house of your dream and if you want to get an outstanding quality of your project, Paul's team is the one you need. Paul is highly reliable and keeps his time estimations. If you go with Paul, you do not need a general contractor, because he is highly organised and keeps track of the job. He is an expert. Also, Paul is supportive, ready to give an advice if you ask him for. It was pleasure to have Paul and his team on our site for a month. My wife and I are very satisfied with the performed job and we recommend this company.

    Reframing On Fairview

    2 story addition and interior renovation

    This is not the first time I have hired Paul and the PTR crew to do my framing and as usual they did not fail to impress us. I had an addition that was ready for framing 3 weeks ahead of schedule and asked Paul if he was able to do the work early so that we could keep moving with the other work. Paul was able to find a 5 day window that he could give me and said he would work as quickly as possible to try and get the roof on. This addition was 1000 sqft, 2 stories high and was tied into the existing house on an 'L' shape, not a straight forward box. The guys worked very fast and had the addition built and the roof on and tied in, ready for the roofer by the end of the 5th day! Having this work completed so fast allowed us to get the other trades in and push on with the project. Once again, thanks Paul and all of the guys!

    Large addition, new second floor and full house renovation

    I found PTR Carpentry through HomeStars and after reading some reviews and meeting with Paul it soon became apparent that he was the right guy to do this major renovation. My daughter bought a house in Etobicoke that needed to be completely gutted. As I had a lot of experience with the construction business I took on the task of running this massive project. Once the house was gutted and the new foundation was in the PTR crew showed up to begin their magic. Paul, Kyle, Chino & Brian arrived on time to start the project and consistently showed up on time everyday. They demolished the whole rear of the house including the existing second floor. Paul gave great suggestions to improve the structure that was not on the drawings resulting in the whole ceiling of the house being more than 9' high instead of the assumed 8'. Paul took care of the lumber ordering and deliveries so that everything was there when it was needed. There was a lot of work in the rebuilding of this project with a high potential for things to go wrong but PTR Carpentry delivered on their promise and we could not be happier with the results. I would highly recommend PTR Capentry to others in need of structural framing.

    PT wooden deck, 12ft x 12ft, complete with railing and stairs..,

    PTR Carpentry was very professional, in the way that they went about building my deck. Paul made some great suggestion, while building the deck, he can think on his feet, while working at good pace. some of his suggestions were, to add stairs to connect it too the existing deck going down to the patio, the other was to make the railing a "U" shaped on the high side of the deck, over looking the patio and hot tube... they also picture frame the deck and the stairs, which something, I would never of thought of..., It took them, just two days to build the deck, that's foundation, framing, stairs and railings.., some of my friends have seen the deck, and when tell about PTR Carpentry that wanted his business card, so they can call and get a quote from Paul for work that they are thinking of doing too their homes.., I am very pleased with the work that was done, and I will highly recommend PTR Carpentry to all of my friends.., Thanks Paul,

    Addition

    I've worked with Paul on many Projects and he's always clean , calm , and respectful Always a great job Always meets deadline Always professional & courteous He creates a happy environment for everyone on site and always has a smile

    Second floor dormer

    This is the 3rd project that I have hired Paul at PTR Carpentry to do for me and he will always be my first choice when structural framing is needed. On this last project I hired Paul and his crew to remove half of the roof on an old bungalow in Etobicoke and install a new dormer creating two new bedrooms and a bathroom. The weather cooperated allowing PTR to have the job completed within 5 days. The house looks great as expected and I would not hesitate to recommend PTR Carpentry to others.

    Load bearing wall removal

    I contacted Paul at PTR Carpentry through the Homestars website to inquire about removing 2 load bearing walls and replacing them with 5ply LVL beams in the house I am currently renovating. I was lucky enough to contact Paul at the right time as he had an opening the following week. As Paul was very busy he did not have the time to travel to the Beach to view the job before starting, he gave a quote via email based on photos and the drawings provided. Paul and his guys turned up when he said he would looked at the task at hand and got straight to work. It was a very hot day and the job was very dirty but the guys pushed on to complete the work on time and for less than had been quoted. I was able to see that the work was completed well and to my specifications and I am now able to keep my project moving, thanks PTR!

    New addition and basement framing

    PTR Carpentry framed a new addition at the rear of the house. This addition included installing new LVL beams to support a light-well that would bridge from the existing house into the new addition, from the roof to the new kitchen on the main floor. Paul and his crew also framed the basement of the new addition as well as the new underpinned basement of the existing house. There were many extra things that needed to be done as the job rolled along including design changes to the roof and rebuilding of the existing flat roof to allow for a 9' second floor bathroom. All of this extra work was completed on time and with minimal extra cost. When the city inspector came to look at the framing, he said that 'he wished all his jobs looked like this'. On top of that Paul and his guys were a pleasure to work with, friendly, professional and hard working. I would recommend without hesitation.

    Renovation Framing - new roof and walls

    We are very pleased that we contracted Ptr Carpentry for the framing portion of our renovation. From the first email response and visit to quote our project to the very last day that Paul and his crew were on site, they were great to deal with. Doing a renovation can be overwhelming, especially at the stage of removing load bearing walls. Paul and his team tackled the project and completed it on time. Their work was so good, that we had them complete more for us before we let them leave for their next project. Highly recommend Paul and his team, top notch ! Julio and Suzanne
