    Cathedral Ceiling Framing

    I am currently renovating my 100+ year old house and have been tackling most of the project myself. However when it came time to deal with the more complex structural framing for the cathedral ceiling in the master bedroom and ensuite, I realized that I needed a pro. Paul was quick to respond to my emails and was onsite the next day to evaluate the job. After deciding to contract PTR, they managed to schedule me shortly thereafter and the results were amazing. I know the work done by PTR will add strength and value to my home and would recommend Paul and his crew to anyone who asks.

    Second story addition

    As a structural engineer I design houses for a living, and to build my house PTR was the best decision I ever made. Paul and his team put up my addition, on time and in budget, in -20C weather. Amazing people and great attitudes! Every aspect of the build was executed to perfection, you can't go wrong with PTR!

    Extension

    It doesn't get any better than this. Paul and his crew were amazing. I hired them to open up the roof and built an extension. They showed up on time, every time. They finished the job within the time agreed, and on budget. I have been dealing with many trades over the past couple of years, and most were disappointing, to say the least. It was refreshing to deal with honest hard working people like Paul and his team. I can't recommend them highly enough!

    Remove Load Bearing Wall/Intstall LVL and framing

    This is the second time we have used PTR Carpentry- the first being two years ago to frame our basement. You are truly in good hands when you hire PTR. Our project escalated into a much larger job due to existing conditions, and every step of the way, Paul would exceed expectations. From making modifications to allow for the LVL to be hidden in the ceiling, to designing a new tray ceiling when the ceiling joists had to be removed (which was suggested by Paul). The final result was a framed living room/kitchen that was simply much better than we originally had planned. The crew was also personable, hard-working, and very proficient in their work. I would highly recommend PTR to anyone requiring this service.

    Basement Framing

    Great experience using paul and his crew. Paul had a masterful eye for planning the space and seeing walls before they went up. He worked easily and efficiently around difficult and odd old duct and pipe placements; and he did it for an extremely reasonable price. We are very happy with the results. Paul started exactly when he said he would and was done exactly when he said he would be; great planning and execution.

    Basement Framing

    If there was a higher rating than 10 then that is what I would have given Paul and his crew. He is an absolute artist when it comes to framing. The attention to detail was amazing. Very timely, he committed to starting at 8am on a certain day and finishing in two days and he certainly did finish on the committed day. In addition I had to get Paul back to brace the frame as some of my studs had started to turn and Paul had his guy back at my home to add blocking within a week of my email to him regarding this concern. This is absolutely unheard of and extremely impressive customer service. Simply amazing and this is what I would define as absolute satisfaction.

    Structural Framing

    Paul is an amazing person to work with. He is extremely knowledgeable,courteous, friendly and above all hard working. This goes for his entire team as well. Their hard work on the structural framing of my boathouse was beyond my expectations. It was well worth the wait to get Paul, he had the skill and expertise to handle all of the technicalities of this project. The entire process was seamless and he ensured that the project was completed on time and on budget. Paul is most definitely a contractor with integrity and without hesitation I would highly recommend him.

    Addition

    Structural wall removals for main floor of home renovation

    Wow! Paul and his team were simply awesome! Above and beyond our expectations, they were fast, courteous, knowledgeable, and went above the call of duty. Paul is an amazing person to work with, and his expertise and experience comes out in all the work he did for us. Inspections passed with no issues, work was done ahead of time and under budget!!     3rd floor complete gut & new dormer

    Paul was very punctual, professional, friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. He is obviously extremely experienced and provided excellent suggestions on how to improve our project, safely adhering to building code guidelines. His estimation of his availability was spot on and he completed the jobs as promised, on time and on budget. Paul conscientiously cleaned up after each work day and at the end of the project. I would recommend him in a heartbeat and I can't wait to hire him for our next project! (pics to follow)
