    replacement of a GFCI

    I broke one of hte GFCI outlet in the bathroom; total of 3 outlets in all three bathroom stopped working at the same time. I called Tyler at Electric Ave and he came within hours and provided estimates for the possible tasks required clearly and friendly. The job was done in less than half an hour. Awesom service.

    Electric Baseboard Heating

    Tyler was awesome! He was prompt and quick and honest. The price was quite reasonable. He had everything back and working quickly and explained things straight up. We would highly recommend his service to anyone!

    Electrical inspection/ appliance electrical problem

    Tyler from Electric Avenue was very helpful, and once the problem was diagnosed, was nice enough to come back on his own dime, and help us rig up a proper extension cord able to handle the amount of power coming from our dryer. This was important, because the previous owner of the house had rigged up a poor one, resulting in a real mess in our laundry room. Very personable, and really helped to get the situation righted.

    Upgrade service to detached garage

    I hired Electric Ave in September to install higher capacity electric service to my detached garage. The work entailed running a heavy cable from the main panel in the house out to the garage, and installing a sub-panel in the garage for 3 new circuits - two power circuits and one (baseboard) heating circuit. I had a minor issue scheduling a time for the work, but it was not a problem. Once scheduled Tyler and his assistant showed up on time and completed the work faster than expected. He was extremely professional and took great care to ensure that the work was neat and done with minimal impact, and he made sure that I was satisfied with the job upon completion. I highly recommend Electric Ave.

    Electricity for garburator

    Company was very accommodating with respect to my work schedule. Job was done well and fast. Cost was competitive with other companies. Actual cost of job came in less than originally estimated.

    smoke alarm/electrical

    I was totally impressed with the service I received. Tyler and his crew were able to fit me in when I called and replaced the smoke detectors, they explained what to do with the new model. Tyler even followed up by returning to my home to check my circuit board when I was unsure of a problem, I really appreciated that.

    rewiring work in laundry room

    Tyler arrived on time and completed the task efficiently. His rates are very reasonable. I would have him back to do addition work any time. I have already recommended him to a friend.

    Resolve home inspection electrical issues

    The home inspection for my property highlighted a couple of electrical issues and recommended that I get a qualified ellectrician in to assess/fix issues. Having found Electric Avenue on Homestars and read the positive reviews, I emailed them and was pleased to get a prompt response. I spoke to Tyler and after a brief discussion we agreed that the next best step was a 32point inspection which I felt comfortable with. Tyler arrived at my property on time walked me through the next steps. He walked through what was going to be done and reconfirmed the cost. No pressure at any point and I felt I could change my mind if need be (glad I didn't though). The issues in the report turned out to be non-issues however inspection did throw up a a couple of minor issues missed in home inspection. What really impressed me about Tyler was his attitude, friendly and informative. He walked/talked me through everything he did and when investigating home assessment issues, I felt confident that I understood why there could have been an issue but why it was not applicable in this case. I didn't think things could get any better (I wasn't facing any huge cost in fixing issues, just paying for a simple inspection with a fixed price) but they did. There was a broken fan in my ensuite. Fan was old and a previous quote I got from a general contrator included ripping the fan out, putting in a new duct pipe to code, fixing dry wall...$$$$. I asked Tyler if the fan was something he would like at. He said yes and without another word he rang up a parts company and asked if they had a part/something similar in stock. I was taken a back by this - very impressed. The recommended next step was to take the fan out and take it to the parts company. We were going to discuss money next, but then Tyler noticed that after taking the cover off the fan was unplugged (slight embarressment on my part). It was a bit fiddly to plug back in, but once done it worked. No new fan purchase, no new duct, no dry wall fixing... After this we talked about the lighting for the house, options and things we needed to consider. Tyler was more then happy to answer my questions, and I never felt like the visit was being rushed. All in all, I was truelly impressed by Tyler. He has certainly given me confidence in Metro Vancouver contractors (and HomeStars). Its good to know there are people out there who are not out for a quick buck, but honest and looking at building a client base for the future. If I have any electrical issue, there is only one number I will be calling.

    electrical services

    I was planning on doing a renovation in my home and contemplated the need to upgrade my electrical system. I searched through the internet and found Electric avenue. I had a technician come to my home and provide me with some ideas and an estimate. Now we have some good options for updating and upgrading our home and kitchen. I am planning on doing my renovation and am feel comfortable with the quote I have received and will be hiring Electric Avenue to complete my electrical project needs.

    Security Light

    I needed a security light installed in my carport as it was very dark and I did not feel safe. I called Tyler and told him my concerns and he responded promptly. Tyler was very professional and had my security light installed very quickly. I will definitely use this company again. Thanks Tyler!
