    bathroom renovation

I always relied on homestar to search for the contractors for my house improvement projects such as flat roof, swimming poor etc with great satisfaction. This time our experience working with P&P is no exception to be very good. I have a 46 years old house with a finished basement but without bathroom because the house uses septic tank. After we decided to put a bathroom in the basement, we interview 3 companies. The quote from P&P was not the lowest, but we appreciated the knowledge and the professionalism of Nataneal, the owner of the company, and chose to go with P&P. Mauricio is the project manager and he is a very friendly guy. He and his worker come to work in my house 8am sharp every day and work throughout the day. They never missed one working day. Mauricio went with me to purchase material and provided me advices on color, quality, and right quantity of material. There is no waste of material at the end of the project. The plan was 4 weeks to complete the project. They made it 4 days ahead of due date. As for the workmanship, Mauricio paid attention to any small details. I am impressed by details like he made a slight inward tilt of the marble under to shower glass to prevent water flowing out, and the place for shampoo and body wash is simply a masterpiece. My wife was away when the project was completed. When she came home, she wanted to build a shelf in an empty space. P&P was willing to send people back to do that for us without extra charge. That was lots of work! For me, P&P means a group of honest people who can produce decent job. For any future project, there wouldn't be any second thought, P&P will be my choice.

    Partial remodel

P&P Reno worked in teams at each stage of our partial basement remodel and each team was competent and professional. The first visit was to offer a free estimate on work we wanted to do. We put together a wish list and in a very timely manner, the P&P Reno rep put together a detailed estimate but it didn't meet with our budget so we pared down our wish list and the P&P Reno rep came up with another timely estimate that fit. He was super easy to work with. From that visit to demo to rebuild and installation of a dehumidifier system and sump pump system, the P&P Reno teams worked well with us and truly wanted to make sure that we were satisfied with everything. They kept to the schedule and stayed on budget, never deviating from the estimate. I recommend this company without reservation. They are really good at what they do.

    Basement Renovation & Bathroom Repair

We have had nothing but great service and quality from P&P. Nat Jr. did our basement renovation years ago and we were beyond impressed with the perfectionism, energy, quality and charming personalities of the crew. They were there every day and took us through the progress at the end of each day. They also left the worksite spotless EVERY DAY. We recently needed repairs done on another bathroom that a previous contractor had done prior to us finding P&P. Rafael and his crew showed the same professionalism. Again, we were extremely pleased with the results. We'll always recommend Nat, Nat Jr., Rafael and P&P. We feel lucky that we've found a contractor that we can trust.

Improvements to basement apartment and other fixes

I have worked with Nathanael before and called him with confidence for this new project. We just recently moved into a downtown home with a basement apartment which needed a number of timely repairs. Nathanael made time during a busy schedule and holiday season to get the job done and with great results. His team is very professional, clean and responsive to new issues as they come up, as they always do. I would be happy to recommend P&P Renovations.

    Basement renovations

Totally stratified with the service I got. Renovated my unfinished basement, to one bedroom, kitchen, living room, bathroom etc. I had complete piece of mind the team led by Nanthaneal is great. They finished on time and there was not a single day that I had to chase after them. The quality of the product is excellent. George the main man after Nanthaneal looked after everything and communicated everything. It was just like having family.

    Shower

The grout line in the shower is falling apart and we can smell the molds behind the shower tiles. After reviewing a few contractors and quotes, we have decided to go with P & P Renovations to redo the shower. Natanael, the owner, is one of first ones to reply to my inquiry for a quote. Natanael always respond to my emails inquiries withing reasonable time frame. The quotes given were clear and detail on the work that will be done. We worked with Mauricio who always arrived on time. Mauricio is very polite, soft spoken, and take pride on his work. The team make sure the path to the bathroom is covered with a thick layer of cloth which is appreciated. We can tell the material used in the shower are not cheap products and it is great knowing the shower is built the right way. As with any reno, there is always an unforeseen events. Initially, we want to keep the existing ceiling tiles to save cost. The tiles we have ordered from Natanel's suppliers were arrived a week late. As result, Natanael and Mauricio came work over the weekend to get the job done. This shows professionalism and dedication from the P & P Renovations. After a few months of shower usage, we notice there is a leak from the shower pipe in the basement. Natanael responded to my email within the same day and have Mauricio come back to take a look the very next day. The leak was fixed and Mauricio created an access block under the shower drain so any future leakage issue won't require any cut to dry wall ceiling anymore. Now you can no longer tells there was a water damage, which is great. This shows the P & P Renonvations cares and stands behind their warranty. In the end we were very happy with the shower. Thanks to Natanael and his crew.

    Kitchen reno rescue!

Natanael and Rafael saved us - there really is no better way of saying this. Our kitchen needed a full gut job. Typical post-war double brick house that had an updated kitchen, but nothing had been done behind the walls, so it all had to come down. We did our homework and hired a designer. Really needed a smart layout to maximize space in our cramped kitchen/entrance area. We went through several drafts and finally settled on a design we liked. Got several quotes from contractors (including Natanael), but went with the designer's contractor because of convenience first and foremost. Big mistake. We should have gone with our gut feel and chosen Natanael instead. His quote was by far the most detailed and professional while still being competitive on price. The contractor we chose turned out to be a disaster. They ripped out the kitchen and did the framing, but it was all wrong. Plumbing was not moved away from exterior wall, an exterior corner was boxed in so no insulation would get in there, a heating vent was just left open under the floor and the list goes on. We had talked about these things beforehand, but still they were done wrong. When confronted with the issues, the contractor had all kinds of excuses and claimed that some of the problems couldn't be fixed. To top it off he started quoting ridiculous prices for extras. For example, he wanted $2500 for removing the ceiling and putting new drywall. When pushed he suddenly dropped the price to $1500. He wanted to use retrofit potlights instead of new build ones. We realized that this would just turn into a nightmare if we kept going, so we let him go. Best decision we ever made. Still, a little unnerving. Late winter, no kitchen, no living room (used as staging area), dining area set up as makeshift kitchen, cooking in a toaster oven and on BBQ when weather allowed. Not a good situation with two little kids. We called Natanael and he came to take a look. We knew we were in a vulnerable situation and a less honest man could easily have taken advantage. Natanael looked everything over and very quickly gave us a revised quote. He could have someone there within a week and the price was reasonable. It was a no-brainer. Rafael and his crew showed up in less than a week and started work immediately. They ripped everything out and started over. We told them what needed to be done, but they knew already. They could see all the mistakes and they fixed everything. It was just a massive relief for us. Throughout the rest of the project it was a real pleasure working with them. Communication was fantastic. Rafael would have a chat with me in the morning to go through what he was planning to do. Then he would be there when I came home from work to show me everything they had done. If he had to leave earlier or if any issues would come up he would call me. Just thoroughly professional through and through. Many contractors out there should learn from how these guys work. No project is flawless though, but the true test of a contractor is how they fix their mistakes. They were really good with the structural work, but some of the finishing was not 100% to our satisfaction. We discussed it, they fixed it. Simple as that. One row of upper cabinets were a little misaligned. They took them all down and reinstalled them. Some of the tiles for the back splash were uneven. They redid them. One cabinet door had the handle installed in the wrong corner. They ordered a new door and fixed it. Rafael even came over one weekend recently, a few months after the reno was done, to do some extra caulking, reinforce a toekick, and do some touchups on some of the grout. Clearly this is a company that prides itself on customer satisfaction. We have several other projects in the pipeline and there's no doubt that we will be calling on Natanael and Rafael again. May they live long and prosper!

    Basement renovation

Our basement renovations were done by P&P Renovations. Rafael Lopez and his crew were the ones who did the work, and they did an amazing job. We were really happy with the results and with his professionalism. He was always on time, efficient, friendly, easy to talk to, and had great customer service. We will absolutely use this company again, especially if Rafael will be there!

    Back extension build

We contracted P&P to build our new back extension. The extension was built on schedule, and on budget. Natanael is a really nice guy who is honest and hard working. He is quick to get things fixed. Raphael was the foreman on our project and his work was good. We had a couple of issues with water leaking because of a bad door installation which was done by another company. Natanael had his team here to twice to address the issue fully, and they did some extra work for us which was out of scope as a favour. I appreciate that considering we had a few different contractors working on the project and they didn't always communicate properly. I would recommend P&P, and already have done so.

    Porch Renovation

P&P Renovations proved to be a very competent, professional and experienced Contractor that performed a quality renovation for our home. As an Architect, I have very high expectations and needed a Contractor that could execute my designs, which in this case included meticulous details for retrofitting my front porch. Our friends (who also happen to be our neighbours) recommended P&P to us after having used them on their renovation which we collaborated on. As with their project, Natanael was very professional and insured that the project was priced fairly and Raphael proved to be punctual, courteous and, along with the help of his crew, careful in the execution of the work, always ensuring that the job site was left clean and safe at the end of the work day. I would highly recommend them for any home renovation project.
