We hired PlanIt to complete our basement renovation on our 8 year old home. We we had one main room and a bathroom for the project. In all respects and even talking with PlanIt the project was expected to be completed in around 8 weeks. 6 months later the project was finally completed. There was constant delays due to poor management and lack of planning. Contractors would show up without the materials being delivered. It was really poorly managed. In terms of quality of work, I would say they were satisfactory. The build quality met the minimum standards and the trades were good to deal with. They didn't seem to put a lot of time into the quality of their work and for the premium PlanIt charges I expected a better product. Finally, they changed the plan without notifying us or seeking our approval. The plan represents a contractual obligation so it is troubling to see them take that lightly. So for the extra cost from PlanIt builders you are better off searching elsewhere. Between the mediocre quality, the poor management and the complete lack of communication I would suggest that everyone skip this contractor, especially considering the premium this company charges.

Our overall experience with Palnit Builders has been good. We are very happy with the final product. All trades were respectful and professional. Our site supervisor, Graham Shepherd was very accomodating. He listened, deliverd and was allways available to address our inquiries. Well done Graham, thank you very much. However, we had some communiction challenges with our estimator early in the process. He gave us inaccurate info regarding elements that did cost us extra after he said they wouldn't and failed to return many of our messages. The company has a good sytem in place and was easy to deal with.

We had a great working relationship with Planit builders. They have a very professional crew, and everyone is very experienced in what they do. We're very happy with the entire project throughout. Our project manager was Mark Turco, and he was very attentive to every little detail, including providing us with dust filter for our air vents during drywalling. We would highly recommend Planit to other home owners.

We had a great experience with PlanitBuilders. It is a very efficient, professional and fast company with great project management, cost and project control and very high work ethics. Our site coordinator / project manager was Graham Shepherd, who was just great - very professional, attentive, dependable and friendly person who promptly responded to all our requests and inquiries and ensured that the project was done flawlessly and within the time scheduled. We would recommend this company to everyone planning to develop their basement.

We were very pleased with the job Planit Builders did developing our basement! Our site supervisor, Patrick Card, was very helpful and always willing to answer questions. All of the tradespeople who worked on our basement were respectful of our time and home (made sure to take off their shoes). The job was completed within the timeframe provided and the work is beautiful!

I am a girl with very little knowledge of what it takes to build a garage. To be quite honest with you, I have NO clue! From meeting Don and discussing the plans and what i wanted in the garage (he listened to me). Then Steve the site Manager and the crew (cribbers, cement pourers, framers, siders, Bethany etc...)they completed the garage. They all exceeded my expectations. For being a girl and not having any knowledge or experience at reading blue prints, crib walls, voltage or understanding what it takes to build a garage. The finished garage is wonderful. I love my garage! I recommend this company for many reason mentioned and I am very satisfied with the finish product. This company has a very trustworthy and honourable reputation and I am so happy they built my garage. I highly recommend this company to anyone whom might be in the market to have a garage built or a basement done. They stand behind their work and their customers happiness. Keep up the great work. We decided to use Planit Builders because of the time frame in which they could have the project completed. Any renovation is inconvenient. Planit Builders completed both projects on schedule. From the planning stages to completion it was a great experience. The customer service was excellent. Our project manager Patrick always kept us informed of the progress being made and we never felt in the dark about anything. The contractors were respectful of our home and property. if we ever move and need a garage or basement we will definately call Planit Builders.

We are very happy with our basement development. Steve, our site manager, was very helpful throughout and went above and beyond what was expected. He kept on top of all the different tradesmen to make sure they were here on time, and was also mindful that they had to leave at a specific time so as not to disturb my little ones. He made sure that if something was not up to our satisfaction, that the right people came by to fix the issue. We would definitely recommend planit builders to our friends and family.

My project with PLANiT Builders was recently completed and has 100% met my expectations. My measure of satsifaction is based primarily on 2 items: a.) Quality and b.) Customer Care. My Site Supervisor, Graham Sheperd was great to deal with; he was always up-to-date on project progression, he communicated when trades were scheduled in and out of the house and he kept the project finish date in line (THANK YOU GRAHAM). I also really liked the Builder Trend program that PLANiT uses...another great tool to keep clients informed on their projects; everything at your finger-tips or a phone call away (to your Site Supervisor). Further to that, the Financing Program available through PLANiT is absolutely a bonus which gives customers flexibility with payment options. From start to finish I was very pleased with my experience. I have additional space that my family enjoys spending time in. We have a cozy Guest Room for family and friends to stay in and last, but not least I have a laundry room with lino in it (instead of a cold, cement floor) and a folding shelf!!!!!!!. We can't believe we lived without a finshed basement for so long. If you are looking for a trusted, customer focused company with great staff, I encourage you to talk to them. I have already referred them to friends that start their basement development in the New Year.
