We called Templar to check on our "popcorn ceiling" in the living room when we suffered some water damage. Our concern was that because our home was built in the 1960's that there might be some asbestos in the ceiling material. Our research indicated that asbestos was often used as a binding agent in the manufacture of "popcorn" ceilings. Robert showed up the day after we called in and took several samples away for analysis. We were fortunate to find out a few days later that there wasn't any asbestos. We were thankful for Robert's prompt attendance and professionalism and would highly recommend Tempar.

We had a few quotes on removing hazardous materials in our basement, but we really liked David from Templar - he was both knowledgeable and very calming... He also saved us a considerable amount of money by pointing out that stuff that other vendors suggested was not required - work was completed quickly and without fuss.

We hired this company to remove asbestos from our new purchased condo. We panicked at first as we thought the job will be very expensive but this company proved us that was not the case. They were very punctual, efficient and very reliable which is something we have struggled to find lately. Thank you for the hard work and keep it up!

It was discovered that the basement tiles had asbestos in them when I had another contractor there to quote on mold removal. David and his team did an excellent job of totally removing them plus everything that was in the basement excluding appliances. They left it in very good condition, were quick and were the most competitive on top of that. He was easy to reach and responded quickly with my quote request as well as the service. I would call him for mold removal as well if I needed it.

Selling a house and this issue became important. David from Templar was testing at our house within 1/2 a day. Professional and courteous reassurances on possible past risks...and describing a rapid process to test. Testing complete, negative for asbestos within 2 business days. Significant relief to all parties. Highly recommend! Great job folks.

Having bought my first home and needing to work within a defined budget, I was concerned with the potential cost of having asbestos discovered and removed. The team from Templar, Robert, David and the crew, were absolutely fantastic. The process was easy to understand, quoted reasonably and the work was done quickly. David and his crew removed asbestos wrap around pipes in the basement and tested for asbestos in ceiling tile. I will definitely get Templar to help me with the remova needed and anytging I end up discovering as I work on my new home. A powerful summer storm deposited a large volume of water under the raised floor of our basement. Within a few weeks, it was obvious that we had a mould problem. It was recommended that I call Templar. Robert came to our house quickly and gave a very reasonable cost estimate. Because of the extent of our mould problem, it turned out that Templar had to come to us 6 times in 3 weeks. This was because we had to stage their work while we built “dead” walls etc. to enable them to remove a load-bearing wall. Throughout the work, both Robert and David were most patient and re-assuring. They attended to our needs as quickly as they could and carried out their work cleanly and effectively. Their final invoice was considerably lower than I had expected even though they and their staff spent so much time at our house.

I got the panicked call from my contractor during the first day of construction regarding the mould. The crew was called off the site until i could get it resolved. I called a number of companies on homestars and generally got a bunch of fear mongering contractors, trying to get me to agree to spend between 3500-5000 without even coming out to look at the job. Speaking to Dave was the opposite. He reassured me that it was all manageable and went out to see the job that afternoon. The quote was a fraction of the competitors' and the work was scheduled for later that week. The work was completed efficiently and aside from one minor glitch that was promptly addressed by Robert, everything was perfect. Communication with Dave and Robert was excellent and I felt like i was in good hands all the way through. I will absolutely be using these guys again on an exclusive basis. Environmental remediation is a bit of black box to typical homeowners so working with people you trust and that are looking out for your best interests is critical. Thanks for the great work, guys.

From the initial phone conversation, site visit, all through the work to the final clean-up, their execution was perfect. Great communication from Robert and Dave, and price point was very competitive. Crew was trustworthy and polite, and they left my basement was cleaner than they found it. We are in an older part of Toronto with lots of old buildings full of asbestos, and I recommendation these guys to all my neighbours.
