We needed our 6 dining chairs re-upholstered as they hadn't been done in over 25 years. Through Home Stars, we found T.J. Fine Upholstery and called Milton who suggested we drop into his shop to discuss our needs. After meeting with him, he suggested he recover just one chair to make sure we were on the 'same' page with what my husband and I wanted done. Within a short period of time, Milton notified us and when came back to his shop we were delighted at the results--our chair looked beautiful! The other 5 chairs were left and we have now a beautiful set of 6 chairs that will provide another 25 years of enjoyment. Milton is a true artist and very professional. His workmanship is superb. The price for completing this job was very reasonable. Thank you Milton!

We wanted to have our 13 year old love seat reupholstered and cushion replaced. We read earlier online reviews, so we phoned. Milton answered the phone on the 2nd ring and was direct and clear to explain his services (no fancy chit chat- I like that). We visited his shop and were impressed with how he explained the work and why it was worth the price. He picked up our love seat promptly and finished the work in one week, after saying it would take two weeks! He did a better job than the original maker. Milton was very concerned that we were happy. We are totally impressed with his services!

We were thinking of replacing our old kitchen stools inherited from family for new ones but couldn't find ones with the same sturdiness and dimensions. My wife suggested that we try to have it re-upholstered. Found TJ online and gave it a shot with the great reviews from HomeStar. Brough the stools in - picked the leather that we liked, and they were ready in two days. Milton did a fantastic job on the stools and its like we have brand new stools again. Highly recommended.

TJ did a fantastic job re-upholstering our couch and love seat. He was very accommodating, kept us very well informed on status and in the end most importantly did a great job. Will will definitely send more work his way and heartily recommend him to anyone interested in the Toronto area.

Was looking to have my sofa, chair and 6 dining room chairs upholstered. Found Milton during my research. Gave him a call and found him polite, courteous and personable. With a little negotiation, we agreed upon a price and without any further delay Milton dropped off fabric samples. The choice was great and the fabric beautiful. In 4/5 days Milton had the dining room chairs ready. They were well done, no puckering corners. He then picked up the sofa and chair and to my amazement it was ready in less than a week. The workmanship was AWESOME. He kept me informed and sent me a photo of the work in progress. Would I use his services again, ABSOLUTELY. would I recommend him to a friend DEFINITELY. No complaints just admiration. He’s a man of very few words. He was a pleasure to deal with.

In April 2020, I had used HomeStars to understand the cost of reupholstering my grandparents' two old wingback chairs. I had spoke to at least 5 shops, and TJ had by far the most competitive price. He also was able to answer all my questions over the phone - GREAT service! We re-engaged TJs mid-June to help us once we moved homes. Upon visiting the store to drop the chairs off, he walked us through the fabric and cushion options. He was very patient as there were lots to choose from! He also honoured his original quote. We picked the chairs up today (2-3 weeks later), and my partner and I are quite happy with the results. I would definitely recommend TJ Fine Upholstery!
