Reupholster of two vintage teak club chairs

I discovered T.J. fine Upholstering on Homestars.ca. The ad stood out to me with the positive reviews and noticed the recomendation from HGTV's Colin & Justin from a previous review. From the first contact with Milton I was impressed with his passion & caring, considerate customer service. Without getting into too much detail, Milton surpassed our expectations of workmanship, material quality, price and service. I look forward to doing business with him again. Sean W. Toronto.

redesigned two arm chairs & 8 dining room chairs

milton took my 40 year old arm chairs and remodeled them to appear exactly like the picture from an upscale store. Regarding my dining room chairs, he guided me to put a contrasting trim which looked great!

    Re-upholstering of an old sofa

Milton, the company owner came himself to evaluate the work: re-upholstering of an old sofa. he evaluated the amount of fabric right, and 2 yards less than concurrents. He was courteous and on time. When I got the fabric he came again with an employee to dismount the sofa and take it at their workshop for the work. This was done in two days. They came back and re-installed everything. He had the best cost, the most reasonable deposit, and was available at all time. The work was excellent, caring about having the fabric pattern matching on the armrest with the back... I highly recommend this company for the service quality, timeliness and manners.

Couch - Reupholstering and New Foam

We had a large 3-seat couch that we absolutely loved, but it was sagging and was looking a little tired. Rather than buying something new, we decided to look into getting it reupholstered and the cushions replaced with new foam. I looked into a few places, but Milton from T.J. Upholstering came by with fabric swatches and gave us the best quote on site. He picked up and delivered the couch when he said he would and even carried it down and up four flights of stairs (at no extra charge) because it wouldn't fit in the elevator. The couch looks beautiful and brand new - his work is impeccable and polished. I would highly reccommend T.J. Fine Upholstering!

Leather cushions replaced on leather sofa

I have a custom leather sofa in very good condition except the leather on the cushions wore down and the sponge inside also deteriorated. I called Milton of T.J. Fine Upholstering Furniture after I was given a referral by another homestars company (Wood Specialties-Jeff). Milton came by my home, gave me an estimate and then took one of the leather cushions so he could match the baseball stitching, piping and size. He then told me he would complete the job in three days. After three days, Milton returned with my new cushions and he matched the stitching, piping and size exactly to the sofa. Milton did a great job with the baseball stitching as it is very difficult to do. I do remember years ago when the custom sofa maker stated that he would never do another sofa with the baseball stitching and piping ever again.

    Reupholstering sofa

Milton from TJ's was very helpful and made it easy. He helped my to make my selection, finished the work ahead of schedule and even added two great throw cushions that I had not requested. I would use TJ's again and recommend them to my friends.

    upholstered & refurbished 1940's couch & chair

Milton of TJ Fine Upholstering came with a recommendation from HGTV's Colin & Justin. He more than lived up to their positive review! We got quotes from two other upholsters to upholster a 1940's couch that some may have kicked to the curb. His quote was the most reasonable. Milton went above and beyond our expectations --not only did he reupholster the couch, he essentially refurbished it to good-as-new condition by stripping it to the bones, giving it new springs, adding padding the formerly flimsy sides and even coordinating the wood refinishing. Not only that, the job was complex because we wanted a different back, and different use of the fabric on the couch and chair. Plus the throw pillows he made we carefully thought out to showcase the best sections of fabric. Milton's work is an artform. His sensibility for creating design from patten-matching was acceptional. He is a second generation upholster and a master at his craft. I highly recommend recommend him.
