We called Dave to have him install baseboards in one room and also to apply trim to a pine shelf. Dave did an incredible job! Despite many awkward angles, electrical outlets and a fireplace to navigate (never mind un-moveable furniture), the baseboards were installed impeccably. Likewise, with his application of trim to our pine shelf. The trim itself was very fine and required precise cutting and fitting. He did an absolutely excellent job and also cleaned up afterward as well! We are so lucky to have found Dave; we have used his services in the past and his work has always exceeded our best expectations! Thank you Dave!

Dave at DMS is AMAZING. We are so fortunate to have found him -- he is smart, hardworking, unscrupulously honest and incredibly reliable and a total gem. We'd follow him around the province if we had to! He is simply AWESOME. Don't think twice -- just call him and you'll know what we mean. He is truly, truly a find.

I feel very fortunate to have Dave as our handyman. We've met many others in the past and have been very disappointed. But not so with Dave. His work is absolutely fabulous and even though he works fairly swiftly, the end result is meticulous....he's a real perfectionist. He is also a very nice person and very easy to have around. I personally guarantee that you will not be sorry in hiring Dave.

Without a doubt, I would definitely recommend and hire DMS again. Even though this was a small job, Dave answered my call promptly. He arrived on time, was knowledgeable, polite, cleaned up afterwards and did a good job. Thanks Dave.

Dave was impeccable in his prompt response to our request for help and his execution of the numerous jobs around our house. He asked for a detailed description in order to bring the right tools, he came when he said he would and did excellent work, he obtained the materials we required to complete the work. Overall, an excellent experience. We'll be calling him again. And again.

We found Dave initially in February and hired him to do some work in our kitchen. The job was suppose to be demolition of the counter, sink and backsplash, hauling away the garbage and then re-tiling and some minor installations. It should've taken 1.5 days. When it came time to re-tile it turned out our walls were so uneven that Dave had to painstakingly re-level each stud in our 100 year old walls in order to use the tiles we bought. It ended up taking 3 days Dave did with a smile until it was all finished and the tiles look amazing. Since then Dave has come back 2 other occasions to do some painting, re-caulking in the kitchen and to fix some issues on the roof as well as in the eaves. Dave is extremely reliable, honest (he called to tell me that I paid him $50 too much by mistake!), reasonable, meticulous, fastidious, neat and pleasant to have around. I have already recommended him to friends and family and am quite pleased to have finally found a great handyman!

We have enlisted Dave from DMS Home Services on 3 different occasions. (The list of things to do around our home never ends.) Dave's strengths are that he responds quickly to requests, is punctual, is organized wrt supplies and brings the tools necessary to complete the work. He is tidy and efficient. He is also quite honest and will not offer short-term fixes when there might be an underlying issue, or if something is beyond his area of expertise. We will be using Dave again without hesitation.

I was unsure if Dave would take up my job as the work was small (but the need was urgent ) especially since the other guys were giving unreasonable quotes. Dave gave a sensible estimate, showed up on time, did the work very efficiently and came across as polite and courteous. It was a pleasure !

We are so lucky to have found Dave, thank you Homestars (and Dave!) We had a variety of items that needed work in our house, and Dave did an excellent and thorough job on all of them, big and small. He even invented a creative childproofing solution for the windows in the children's bedrooms, which were a safety hazard because they could be fully opened. The price is right, and he was always on time. And an added bonus, Dave was a pleasure to have in our house, a really lovely fellow! a perfect 10!

I used Homestars to research and select Dave from DMS Home Services. It was the right choice on both counts. I needed someone to clean and re-caulk two ensuite showers. Dave was punctual, and did a great job prepping the showers (removing old claulking, mildew etc.) and then applying the new material. I especially appreciated his clean-up - one would never know he had been there. On top of it all, he was very reasonably and competitively priced. All in all, I would recommend him gladly.
