Our neighbours negotiated to hire this company to replace the roofs on 9 freehold townhouses. The work was done quickly, professionally and at a reasonable price in the fall of 2013. So far, so good!

We decided to have our roof inspected after the neighbour in the townhouse next to us had a leak and found her section of roof was in bad shape. Robert took digital photos to show us what our roof looked like. He was friendly and professional in discussing our options. He clearly explained what the true warranties were on various shingle products and even let us know that our section of roof could probably wait until next year for replacement. We decided to go ahead with the project anyhow. After the job was complete, Robert came back to inspect it and to ensure that the ground around the house had been well cleared of roofing debris. This company was a pleasure to deal with, and Robert sincerely seemed to love his job, which was refreshing.

Our house is a releatively new build but the roofing contractor that installed our roof originally did a sup-par installation using the cheapest product out there. After 5 years, shingles were blowing off and needed replacement, after 8 years I needed a complete removal and replacement. I called Robert's office and was told he was very busy but would come out ASAP to inspect the roof. He was here within a couple of days. He inspected the roof and left a quote and product brochures in the door without us (or our dogs) even noticing he had come. A few hours later Robert emailed me pictures of the roof. He gave options in the quote based on materials selected, prices for each and their associated warranties. I decided to use their services and had Robert come over with samples of the chosen product, he left them with us to look at in various lighting to make sure we made a choice we were happy with. On the day of installation, his crew arrived just after 7:30 and got to work immediately tearing off the old roof. By lunchtime they had already started installing the new roof. They had finished and cleaned up by shortly after 4:00, it was already starting to get dark. The job looks wonderful, there was no garbage left behind, they ran their magnet around the back yard and sides of the house and I haven't found a single roofing nail there. Unfortunately, they forgot to magnet the driveway when they pulled their junk trailer out and I found at least 10 nails on the driveway over the next few days. Luckily I haven't had any punctures my tires (at least yet). That would be my only issue with the job Cutting Edge did for us. Robert agreed to do the work on a handshake, didn't require a deposit or for us to sign anything beforehand, did the job and then mailed an invoice. Old school! I would use them again and recommend them to anyone, My neighbour has already had Robert over to fix a slight issue with his roof.

Owner Rob and his team completed our row of townhomes in a few days and I am very happy with the results. He climbed his ladder to go on the roof to inspect and asess to provide an estimate. He also gets his hands dirty and is part of the team to replace the shingles on the roof. Rob thoroughly explained the process and and was available on site every day to answer questions. I highly recommend The Cutting Edge Roofing as they provide great customer service at reasonable prices.

I have been much impressed by Robert's professionalism throughout our dealings with him. This includes a prompt respone to our request for a quotation, the willingness to accommodate our need to get the work done earlier than scheduled, the overall workmanship displayed by his roofers, and the follow up that Robert did to ensure the job was done properly. This is a company that I would recommend strongly.

This company is great. They were on time. They gave honest advice. They completed the task and cleaned up afterwards. They followed up on the job the following day to ensure complete satisfaction and there were no surprises. With all the bad press out there about sketchy roofing companies, this company is reliable and solid. I would highly recommend them to any of my neighbours. It was a bit startling to find them busily on the roof one day when I arrived home from work, having never had any advance warning as to what day they were coming! However, this was a very minor concern and their work more than made up for it!

I engaged Robert's services after receiving several quotes. Although he was not the cheapest, he was extremely professional and knowledgeable when it came to the job. He offered additional services based on our specific needs, rather than just offering up a standard quote. For instance, our loft area was hot in the summer and he suggested that we add a ridge vent - something that the competitive bidders had no idea about. The ridge vent has shaved off at least two degrees and the room is much more enjoyable now. He also went the extra mile with the waterproof sheeting bringing it all the way down from the skylights to the trough (beyond code), something the other bidders did not offer. Lastly, he sourced and secured our skylights, professionally installed them and made the selection of colour and style a breeze. His crew arrived when scheduled and completed the job on time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Robert to any of my friends or family. Keep up the great work!

I hired the cutting edge earlier this year. I got 3 quotes from different companies and these guys were the best priced and I felt comfortable with the gentleman who came to price the job. They fixed my roof in less then a day and cleaned up afterwards. Overall a good service to use.
