New shingles
It’s not everyday that you re-shingle the roof so most of us have no idea what is involved, how much it will cost, or who to trust to carry it out. We called several places looking for quotes and The Cutting Edge Roofing were the first to answer the phone with a real person and immediately scheduled a site visit (good first impression). Robert Landry was on our roof taking measurements as we pulled into our driveway (even better second impression), and we had a quote in our hand before he left the property. Other firms either didn’t get back to us, sounded disinterested in the work or, in one case, provided an estimate without even getting up on the roof! Robert’s quote was competitive with those of other firms we approached.
The rainy summer of ’09 meant we needed to be flexible around the exact installation date. Even so, Robert and The Cutting Edge Roofing crew arrived on-time, on-date, and ready to go. In one day they stripped two layers of old shingles, patched holes, cut plenty of new vents, and installed the new shingles. The change to the exterior of the house was nothing short of spectacular (thanks, Robert, for helping us choose the right shingles)! The entire team were courteous and hard working – all waste materials were removed from the property and Robert did a personal inspection to pick up any loose nails (he knows we have two dogs and wanted to ensure their safety).
It’s not everyday that you re-shingle the roof, and we probably won’t need The Cutting Edge Roofing for a very long time. Having said that, they will be our first choice if needed, and we recommend them without reservation.
