    New Home

Do yourself a favour. Go with another builder. I wish I had. The sales office will tell you what you want to hear for the sale and then you realize your in a complete mess. Communication and Customer Service is less than to be desired. Noone ever seems to have any answers and you cant get a hold of anyone to find out the truth of any matter. I'm watching homes go up all around me, in reasonable time frames. You wont get that from this builder. Spend the extra money and go with someone else. You will be glad you did!

    West Bloom Disaster

Purchased our "forever" home from Country Green just over a year ago and have had nothing but headaches. Over a year later, and the list of issues is still extensive. Started off on a bad note - the foundation was poured too low in one section and "repaired" using cinder blocks. It looks awful, and the parging they have done TWICE to cover the cinder blocks has fallen off - TWICE. We paid $5000 extra for a "lookout" lot. The windows are set well over our heads and we are unable to "look out" at anything. They put the wrong brick on the house - NOT the colour we selected. The waterproof building wrap was ripped off a section of the house by the ladder of the siding installer. Despite multiple calls to repair it, it is STILL not fixed - 13 months later. Kitchen sink fell out - TWICE. Multiple times this past winter the interior of the widows completely iced over. Were told it was our fault for A: putting blinds on the windows, and B: having the humidity too high. Lowered the humidity and it was still happening - even on an upper level stairwell window with NO BLINDS. Toilets were not flushing correctly - discovered the shipping elastics still installed - so obviously plumbing was never inspected. They forgot to install a shower head in the basement bathroom, and had to smash through the tile wall to put it in. The tiny rear deck is not connected to the structure - only to the brick veneer. Kitchen backsplash does not go up to the bottom of the cupboards. but as long as you are 6 ft away it looks fine, so they won't fix it. Kitchen tile is incredibly uneven, resulting in multiple stubbed toes. Fully insulated garage was very drafty. Doors were not installed correctly and it took 6 tries (along with multiple no shows) to correct it. Painters scratched our hardwood floors moving furniture around (to fix their awful touch up job) and had the nerve to tell us the 8 boards scratched weren't noticeable. Hardwood company came today to "fix" it, took out a chunk of the floor to put new boards in, and it doesn't fit properly (many gaps and uneven to walk on) and looks even worse than before.

    Uptowns of Waterdown

We purchased a townhouse back in may 2013 that is set to be built by march of 2015. The area where the townhouse is supposed to be built is still bumpy terrain with a dirt pile that keeps being moved around. Apparently they're having problems with levelling the land. Here's a tip - in order to level the land there needs to be someone working on it to level it! I've sent my spouse to go and check multiple times if anyone is working on the site during the day and there hasn't been a soul! According to Gail they are "right on schedule". On schedule to do what, send out the delay notices right before Christmas? We were so excited to have our place by spring but it feels like we're putting away money for something that will never exist! It's been embarrassing explaining to friends and family that they've been levelling out the ground for months and months. If they end up being on time I will not step one foot into this potential death trap until it is inspected by someone other than county green! This joy has turned into a heap of unwanted stress!

    Uptowns in waterdown

We purchased an uptown from country green homes and it has been nothing but a complete nightmare. To start, we were delayed 8 months and not compensated ( the builder convientely delayed us the maximum days he could to his benefit ... Thus extending the delays to the maximum amount without him having to compensate us as per tarion) . I should have known things would only go down hill when the sales rep and her assistant who we purchased from up and left to work for another builder around the corner! Something fishy is going on . Strange how both left to work for some other builder... Perhaps because they knew all of the headaches they would endure following the delays imposed. Not only were we delayed 8 months but we received inspection of our home the day before the closing date! this would be "okay" had our house been complete. We have been living in our house now for 5 months and STILL do not have everything completed in our home. Our house was rushed and given to us in horrible condition. According to the inspector that country green hired, they can move us in so long as there is one functioning toilet and 1 tap of running water . Kitchen , floors etc do not have to be done in order to be moved in! This has allowed the builder to move us into our house with so many things that need to be fixed. Oh and forget about speaking to the builder ... according to customer service he does not speak to purchasers,! A complete joke . Who is he by the way ? jack or John? We don't know bc we have legal documents and letters signed by both names? The deck from the main floor is still INC. Apparently the floor for the deck is on backorder? Which I believe is nonsense. I feel like the trades people are not finishing the work they started bc they haven't been paid yet by the builder ( we are paying rent to the builder ... Yes rent... This is another issue that our entire block is facing until God knows how long. Gail and customer service obviously don't know anything and tell us we should be official home owners soon but cannot give us an exact date ! Yup you read this correct. WE ARE ALL PAYING RENT. 700 dollars a month paid to the wonderful country green. We pay for utilities, taxes and do not have a mortgage be we do not own the home at this point. currently this is condo is not registered with the city which is why we are paying rent and do not legally own the home. The builder is taking his sweet time submitting the proper documents to the city ( this is obviously not information from Gail. God forbid her be insightful of anything, I had to call the city and inquire and that is what I was told!) Honestly please read all other reviews and do not buy from this builder. I read this site two years ago when I purchased and wish I took the advice of others and steered clear of country green. I can assure you if you buy from country green you will find yourself on this site typing s similar review. This builder has ripped off enough people and has put enough people through he** and back . Do not buy from builder!!!!

    New home

We are one of 3 homes on an existing development. And it is a story of 3 strikes here. Where do I start - possession delayed by 6 months. PDI done on the day of closing! Imagine walking into home with about 20 people working on site. What do you look for? So disappointed with the unfinished home (we moved in 3 months ago) - promises made and never kept. Trades persons unsupervised. Things only moved when we contacted the General Manager. So if you have time and money to waste, buy a home from these guys. Call me if you need details 4167212520. Happy to present you proof.

    Uptowns of Waterdown

Bought a home from country green. Very friendly staff, great prices compared to what else is developing in the area. Also, my friends have bought from them a couple times before and will continue to do so. 10 stars!

    New Home

We have moved in to the West Bloom development and have only had problems. We have been living in our "home" for over a month now with an unfinished kitchen (wrong cabinets and no countertops)... All the foremen, costumer service and even the owners ignore us and pass the blame on to one another instead of fixing the problem. Even when you call them, they will just transfer you to another person or RUDELY hang up on you (Thanks Karen!). Horrible HORRIBLE costumer service. So disappointed. Please don't expect too much from Country Green as they do not seem to care if their customers are happy. As new homeowners, we are extremely unhappy and disappointed.

    Uptown of Waterdown

I have had no problem with them so far and Gail has been great answering any question I have had. They have delayed the closing a few times (due to bad winter we had) and they have compensated me every time.

    Country Green Homes Waterdown

What a joke. A bunch of crooks, do not waste your time or money. They will take your money and sell yu a property for current market value and cancel it a year later. In the meantime you will get screwed out of other potential propertys and market value. They will not compensate you for the money they have kept or for the incresase in market value. When they terminate your contract for false reasons months later they will offer to sell you the same property for more monry. Gail Ward the sales rep is a completely fake crook like the builder. Once they have you sign they will ignore you and not return your calls or e-mails. Joke of a builder.
