    Waiting for quality not quantity

I purchased my house with Country Green Homes around 2 1/2 years ago and have been waiting. Along the way there has been delays with the city of Hamilton forcing the builder to change the design for grading of the land, labour strikes and just normal delays but I have always been positive because its all about the quality of the build. Gail has always gotten back to me with answers as they come available to her and if I was a little upset that she didn't have the answers right away, I always remember the saying (You attract more bee's with honey then you do with vinegar). The builder is working to get the houses done as quickly as possible to get us moved in and of course get his money and move on. Would I buy from Country Green Homes again? Well I will just have to see how the quality is after PDI.

HAS ANYONE HAD AN UPDATE? 03/09/17 - BLOCK 5?

Bought this "house" in Feb of 2014. We knew the company had some delays but the sales agent, who we all know (based on the comments below) told us that she did not "fore see our house being delayed past July 2016”. Well, we just received our third delay, which conveniently doesn't even constitute as a delay because apparently there have been "strikes", hence this third delay. As a very young couple, you could only imagine how discouraging this is for us. Anyone out there, young or old, looking for a new home for their first home, their family or as an investment, I highly suggest you steer clear of this company in Waterdown, Kitchener, Toronto and wherever else this company has the audacity to start a new phase. The stress, emotional ups and downs and embarrassment this has caused my fiancé and I is absolutely ridiculous. I am ashamed and feel foolish that I bought with this company. If I could go back in time, I would in a heartbeat. It's a good thing this company steers clear of social media. Unfortunately for them, word of mouth is out of their control and I can assure you everyone my fiancé and I know in Kitchener, Milton, Waterdown and Toronto have heard what a terrible experience this is and will be. My heart and patience goes out to everyone else in the same boat as us. See you "soon" neighbours.

    Poor Customer Service

As soon as I purchased my home, I felt like Country Green stopped treating me like a human being. Numerous phone calls to the customer service line were not returned, I was laughed at by a representative of Country Green, and I was told I wasn't a "high priority". In my opinion, no one should be spoken to in a demeaning manner and every customer (past and present) should be treated with a high level of professionalism.

Dont buy from these cons, 3 yrs delayed!

OK, I would like to think there is decent people in this world that somewhat care about others. Country Green Homes has somehow managed to hire a group of people who dont care about anyone except themselves Its starts with the con lay in sales Gail and ends with the brutal treatment of the owner and his family. You wil always be in the wrong when you wonder why your house isnt built after 3 yrs! Yes thats right 3 yrs!!!! Their sales lady Gail has a skill of deflecting while you walk away with not answers to your questions. Dont worry, they were nice enough to mail me 7 delayed letters in 3 years with no verbal communications With house prices this high, do yourself a favour, stop with the fear of missing out and buying any house available. Choose someone who doesnt fill their purchase agreement with clauses suited to ding you for 20,000$ in closing costs. Choose a builder with a heart and not a raisin. You will benefit greatly and have years of less stress/worry wondering if you were just conned. Read all the other reviews. Yes, their builder, im assuming Gail, wrote a few good ones of her own, but the majority rules.

Way to many delays ...3 years later and still havent moved in

Company overall does not seem to care about building and/or closing their homes or really keeping the buyer informed. We purchased this home nearly 3 years ago in waterdown and still have not moved in. My warning to others is if you buy from them, be prepared to wait and wait and wait and wait with little end or true move in date site. Also be prepared to explain to all your friends and family why after buying a house 3 years ago you still down have it.. ridiculous

    incompentent

The absolutely the worst builder I have ever dealt with and I've dealt with many. This is a company that doesnt not care about their customers. Look for a project that was ever completed on time. I am going on 2.5 yrs. They act like you owe then for building you a house and will complete it on their own time frame. The owners and family members who run the company are an absolute disgrace. The type of people who make you wonder how they even made it this far in life. All about them, nothing about you or even building quality homes. Do yourself a favour - pay the 20-30k more and go with a reputable builder like. Yes, all contractors do some shoddy work, but the the house will be built - Country Green Homes only cares about their own agenda which isnt home building. They will string you along and begin building homes years after the scheduled possession date. The staff will talk in circles and do everything to accept fault or provide genuine answers. Many negative reviews posted and Im sure there are many more who have not, but would.

Do not sign the purchase agreement.

No matter what, do not sign a purchase agreement with Country Green Homes. Period. You may be enticed by low prices and free upgrades but none of that will matter when the work you receive is shoddy, customer service is non-existent , and in the end you are left to fend for yourself. Do your google research and you will see the repeated complaints involving this builder. They have left a trail of unsatisfied customers with every development. It's not worth the risk to think "It will never happen to me". Country Green Homes should be boycotted.

    Uptowns

Supposed to be ready Jan 2015 (purchase in fall of 2013). Multiple extensions, now stating Mid 2016. Thats not even possible with no foundation poured. Anyone have an update on this development. The builder an their staff dont exactly tell you the truth on what the hold up is.

    Park Place Village Uptowns

I am a current homeowner in Park Place Village and will also be moving into my second home in Phase two of the Uptowns. I'm quite happy with my home or I wouldn't be buying another one from these builders. Yes, we've had delays...but the Saleslady Gail has always been honest and straight and has answered all our questions in a timely matter. Service has sometimes been slow with follow up but all in all, the house we're in is well built and if there are delays I'd rather have a home that's built properly than one that's slapped together.

    Waterdown Uptowns

Nothing but headaches since we began the process of buying this home. We finally moved in after several delays and have lived in the home now for six months - but guess what...we still don't own it! That's right, we're renting our own home from the builder cause they haven't registered the proper paper work with the city for us to finally close on our house. What a disaster.
