    West Bloom

I purchased a single family home in West Bloom, Hamilton and although it is not complete yet I am very satisfied with the customer service and especially Gail who has gone out of her way to ensure my questions and requests are addressed promptly. She reviewed the purchase agreement in detail and made sure I was aware of the closing costs total potential cost and what they covered and did not cover. Thank you Gail.

    Country Green Homes

Joe (Site Forman) really came through for me. Joe is exactly what you would want in a site Forman he would always give me information I needed and if he couldn’t accurately answer it he would ACTUALLY follow up with me which is rarity in people these days I never had to chase him around for an answer. I think that really put my mind at ease about the whole build knowing that follow up and conversations actually had follow through. Joe always gave me a piece of his time when I had a question and did not make me feel as if there is better things to do with his time, Which there probably was because he is a busy man but I honestly think it’s because he takes a lot of pride in what he does and wants to make sure a homeowner is happy. He is honestly the reason I was happy with the whole building process because when he said that he was going to do something it got DONE. I started off concerned about the build and Joe 100% exceeded my expectations. Don’t know if I would have been happy during the build if I had to deal with customer service just a bunch of voicemails and no return calls. Thank you Joe you deserve this review. People you are buying a new home expect $10,000 in closing cost. Yes, one layer of driveway pavement second is on you. Brian does not work for the company anymore (This is a good thing met him once never wanted to again)

    Milton Mosaic

It looks like the same story for everyone. I paid close to $11000 in closing cost as well. Customer service is ridiculous. Calls, emails always get ignored. My stairways needs some work. Service guys did half the job and now they are AWOL. I've been emailing the builders and service guys but no one replys. Totally frustrated with the overall experience.

I too ended up having to pay almost $10,000 in addtional fees right before closing that they claimed were increases by the city. If you deal with Gail in sales do not trust a word she says as she will say anything to make the sale. I believe she is now at the Waterdown office. Workmanship is not the worst I've seen but the office is disorganized, do not respond to calls/emails and ignore in hopes of you giving up. Not one person takes ownership and just passes the blame on to someone else.

leaky roof, shattered window, damaged marble countertop.....

moved into a 1 year old home as second owner. What a nightmare! absolute worst for custmor service-no one takes responsibility for your queries and keep brushing you under the carpet in the hopes that you will eventually give up. Roof has a leak that has now stained my ceiling and i have ben trying to rectify this with builder for over 4 months now. save yourself the grief and look for another builder, or, get to know TARION very well. SOOOOO DISAPPOINTED!

Carpet, Kitchen Trim, Niche that never was,

The uptown Niche located on the first floors is not a space that can be used as described for computer desk, sitting area, it is just a hallway leading to the stairs, so beware od thaat description. The Inspector that visited my house to check everything was done to the building code seemed very thorough and professional. On visiting the customer service trailer I notiiced she was one of the customer service workers? and thereafter proved herself to be almost unresponsive when I spoke to her, it was like talking to a wall. Hilary on the other hand is very helpful, very hard job , as she contacts the contractors to call me they never do!!!!!!! My carpet bereber looks like a unravelling ball of wooll a total disaster, two clowns came out to take a llook and disappeared without expiination, very frustrating all round, kitchen company did not come out on said date to fix trim (waited in all day) waiting to hear Adams carpets, (Iwas tolle by customer service there is a 95% chance they will not do anything) waiting waiting, on site contractors overworked, or think its all a joke, this is my home I sweated blodd to get a home for my daughter and myself Its not a joke to leave people hanging, just come and fix my screen door it will only take you the time of a tea break!!!!! Holmes on Holmes where are you, he was in Burlington 2011 why not Waterdown........

    New home

I bought a corner lot in Orangeville, the lot has been nothing but a disaster. They have only sodded in patches, so there has been mud all over the property for three years. Very hard to contact customer service ,very slow reply if any at all. Fence line screwed up, windows don't open, eavsetroph leaks all over porch,5 basement wall cracks 2 leaked, deck posts full of mould, bad drywall taping, water lines loose and banging inside drywall, watermain installed with kink in it(before main shut off) Changed layout of house and narrowed driveway from two car to one and a half without telling me. Undersised my air conditioner. I'm sure there is a bunch more!! I would never by again from these people!!!!!!

    Semi-detached in Waterdown

Once we were moved in and started finding little problems it became almost impossible to get a response from customer service. For our first walkthrough we had asked about bringing along a house inspector and were told we could not as the builder has an inspector from the City of Hamilton come in. We followed the rules only to realize a few months down the road that we're pretty confident our house was never inspected. When replacing our range hood with an over the range microwave we discovered the exhaust fan was not connected at all and was blowing air into the insulation and drywall. My hysband also noticed a supporting beam of wood in the basement was hammered out of place and sits crooked to allow for a pipe to be fitted through the space afterwards. We think this could compromise the structure in some way. So either our house was never inspected or Hamilton needs to fire their inspectors. We also included on our PDI to have the brick, rubble, and copious amounts of garbage removed from the backyard before they laid sod. This was not done. After contacting customer service about this we were told that any sod that doesn't take this year will get replaced by the builder next year. That's all well and good but our issue was with future landscaping plans. We don't want to be digging up brick, large boulders, and plastic bottles in the next few years. We have no idea how this will be handled now since it is on our PDI. It is our experience that you will not get anywhere with customer service unless you constantly call and call and call. Even then we can't be sure that something will get done. When we email customer service and ask for a read receipt it is ignored. Breaking news...I had my mother stay at our house all morning today so the painter could come to paint the garage door and front door (he needed to be able to open both). We just found out he's not coming and there was no explanation. The only reason we found out is that my husband called customer service and they had to track down the painter. Otherwise we would not have been notified. So overall our satisfaction with this builder is very low! We do not recommend them. They hire shoddy contracters, who have no respect for the fact that is someone's house and lawn, they do not have the resources to keep up with the items that everyone needs repaired on their PDI's, and they do not have the resources to respond to people's questions or concerns. The bottom line is once you've signed the dotted line you're no longer a priority for them which to me is very risky since I feel like the success of builders relies heavily on word of mouth.

    New Home in Waterdown

We moved into a CountryGreen Home in Waterdown last year. Our sales person made us feel at ease about all the decisions we were making. The entire process from start to finish was a great experience, and we are very happy with our new home. We did have a small delay, and when we closed, there were about a dozen small things that needed repair, but it was taken care of right away. From other people we have talked to that purchased new, that’s not too bad.
