I was very impressed with the professional service provided by Archie and Kozue from the estimate and through to the final installation. High-quality work and products at a very reasonable price. They also were very considerate in regards to our needs when it came to scheduling.

We had replaced 14 vinyl windows, 1 front door + 1 screen door (incl. tear down walls, new drywall, insulation, electrical, ceramic tile in front foyer) and resetting of patio door (done August 20, 2012-but too busy to write review). Archie, owner (recommended by a friend), was honest (reasonably priced with meticulous detailed quotation) and very professional and worked with us even when some unexpected changes came up. Our existing patio door had to be reset properly (previous contractor had not done a proper job, so the patio door was arching in the middle and the screen door subsequently fell off its track)--so his team worker, Lien, even carefully vacuumed dust constantly during stone cutting to minimize any dust in our kitchen. Excellent workmanship and careful attention to detail-no shortcuts. Always cleaned up everyday, protected our furniture, took off their shoes when going upstairs, punctual & courteous team members. Glad to provide them with Coca Cola (fav drink) & snacks as they worked hard everyday. Definitely would recommend to everyone! Most importantly for us was to do the job right . Just remember to have your ideas ready, book early, otherwise they book up quickly (It's worth to wait for them if you can).

Archie replaced two windows in our house as part of our kitchen renovation, and when we needed to replace a window in the basement, a few months later, we didin't hesitate to call him again. He provided us with great service and very clean installation, both inside and out. The windows they install are excellent, too.

Sobol did a great job of replacing 6 windows the same size, cutting out for a new window in the front of the house, replacing a door and cutting out a window for a new door. Everything looks great.

We hired Sobol Inc. to replace almost all the windows in our old, 1920's Toronto home. Before we even started, Archie was amazing. He remade our quote probably 5 times to accommodate our budget and always did so on time. In our home, most windows still had the old sashes in them and the walls are plaster and lathe. This can make for an unfortunate mess, however, Sobol did a fabulous job. They replaced each window, brick to brick in a neat and tidy fashion. They always took their shoes off before coming in the house, the put down sheets in every room and hall, and they kept all their garbage outside in a tidy pile, which they removed on the last day. They didn't even mind all the extra add-on's we asked them to do including a door, and extra window, and make all the trim on the inside of the house match the old fashion style of the home. Archie came and checked on the project a few times, and even came back a few days later to help us with one window that was giving us trouble. A team of two was at our house for 5 days, and the cost of the project was very reasonable considering the time and all the trim work. If you need to replace windows or doors in your home, I highly recommend Sobol. We have two windows left to do once all our renovations are complete and I will be using Sobol again.

Quality and professionalism were excellent. The workers said they would be at my house in the morning but didn't come at the expected time. I called and they said they were running very late. We re-booked for that evening and they came right on time and did the work without complaint about the late hour. Somewhat inconvenient (I wish they had called me) but I was happy with the efforts to set things right.

We recently had 4 windows installed by Sobol. We are extremely satisfied with the work. The crew was excellent in their installation and clean-up. We plan to have this company back in September to install 4 more windows and 2 doors. By the way, all our neighbours on the street give this company a 10.

Archiel and his crew have changed 4 windows in our house in June 2012. 4 windows were changed in total, two of which were corner windows, and 2 of which were large (almost floor to ceiling). At this point I am rating the actual installation process. Prior to settling with Archiel I have contacted 3 other companies, all of which are reviewed here on the HomeStars. Two of the companies estimates were about 1000 more while the other company was $6500. After some research and contemplation we decided not to take chances, plus, Sobol was installing VynilBuilt brand windows - the same brand of windows that got installed for us a year ago by another company that changed some of our windows as part of renovation. What I liked: - Archiel did not try to sell me things I do not need - I was provided with a detailed breakdown of the work cost (I mean 2 pages worth of details) - my request for oak casing in one of the room was accommodated at no additional cost - I was able to choose different casing styles for different rooms. - jamb extensions are preprimed. - the connection between wall and casing is sealed with vynil sealant, which is great! The other company hasn't done it everywhere. - no walls/floors/furniture was damaged. The removal of old windows was done very carefully, all garbage removed with nothing left behind. The previous company yanked a few pieces out of our plaster walls. They mostly patched it, but I had to do more patching and sanding after anyway. - installation was done on schedule and finished on schedule My only minor complains are - the filler on jamb extensions wasn't sanded. I did it myself, but I would prefer not too. - one of the casings had a splinter that one of the workers came after to fill in and sand as well as few small nail holes. - the windows were somewhat dusty and dirty after renovation. The company came back and cleaned them. Overall, I am really satisfied with the job and would not hesitate to recommend Sobol to anyone.

This company was recommended by a friend who is a very thorough researcher when it comes to home renovations, and who had used them earlier this year for window replacement. She thought they were excellent. From the first contact, they were very professional in their approach. The estimate was detailed and very clear. Once we had worked out exactly what I wanted done, with good advice from their head person, we set a date and they arrived exactly when they said they would. The window work was very professional, the men were not intrusive and were helpful, and I'm extremely pleased with all they did. The windows look great. I would not hesitate to recommend Sobol. They are a great find!

We hired Archie after a positive review by a friend and after having read reviews on Homestars. It was the wisest decision we made. Our project was to do two new window cutouts in the dining room and study and then replace the front door. Archie not only provided a clear and transparent quote, but he stood by this price after work started and one of the cutouts was found to be more complex than originally thought. Archie and his crew were here 4 days from 9am until 7pm and the quality of their work was fantastic - the framing around the windows is spectacular and the front door is excellent. In addition, Archie and his crew took great care in cleaning up and taking care of my house - which is not the case with most workmen! Very highly rate Sobol ! You will not be disappointed.
