    Furnace, Water Heater replacement

    I got quotes from 2 other well known places, they were both quite a bit higher. They installed for us: - New dual stage, variable speed 100K BTU 95% efficiency furnace from York - 4" media filter box. - High efficiency water heater - Evaporator Coil for AC unit which we will be finishing up in the spring - Honeywell Prestige thermostat and accessories They did all the permits, moved away my old units, cored the vent holes, did custom ducting/vents and installed the new units. They also called in to the city to schedule the inspection, which passed with no problems at all. I am happy with the equipment, price and worksmanship and I will be using them again in the spring. I referenced the coupon from this site and he honored it with no problem.

    Garage Heater

    I already had a heater in mind, and size but the builder wanted $4500 for purchase and install. I looked online for reputable installers and came upon Shift Air's ad on kijiji. Brent came to my house for a look, recommended a size and brand, gave me a quote, set up a date to come in the day after my possession. Everything went smoothly and as expected. I'm a tradesman as well and I appreciate the quality and finished look of the install. Would definitely use again in the future( thinking about a/c for the house next year).

    Residential HVAC

    Right from the start the owner Brent McQuade was professional and knowledgeable. He turned up when he said he would and provided a comprehensive written quote stating the service to be supplied, the parts and labour costs and the applicable GST. On the day of the install they turned up exactly when the said they would and stayed on site until the job was completed. As the customer I was encouraged to observe each step of the install, they had nothing to hide and were happy for me to be there watching. They were very polite and respectful in our property. They took the time to get it right and make it look right. At the end of the day they cleaned up the job site and removed all the packaging and other materials leaving it so that you wouldn't even know they had been except for the 2 new York A/C units with 10 years parts and labour guarantee. Overall I got 2 high end products professionally installed for the same money as the other companies wanted for lower quality units. I am happy to recommend Shift Air Mechanical Ltd

    Product and Service

    Extremely professional service. Everything completed on time, on budget. Project consisted of replacing an existing furnace, adding a coil for an A/C unit, upgrading the venting to code and running new gas lines.I went with a higher end model modulating York furnace and am very pleased with how quiet it operates. From the first call to completion, the only individual I dealt with was the owner Brent who took great pride in the quality of work and the level of professionalism of the service he and his co-workers delivered. I would highly recommend that you contact Shift Mechanical for your HVAC needs.

    Furnace Repair

    I had called around and was told that by several other businesses that I wouldn't be able to have my furnace looked at until the following week. I found that Shift Air had such great reviews on this site, and am very happy I made the call. Brent had our furnace fixed within two days and was very upfront about how much we could expect to pay for certain parts and what needed to be replaced. Brent is very personable and professional, and we will definitely be recommending his services to others!

    Humidifier

    Brent with Shift Mechanical did an excellent job taking on our small project of installing a humidifier in our new home. Punctual, good ideas and left the furnace area better than he found it. Highly recommended.

    Furnace Repair

    I called Shift Air (on recommendation) this morning as my furnace was not engaging. The timing was perfect as Brent was to be in my neighbourhood within the hour and even though it is a long weekend, he did not charge for service call overtime because of the proximity. He let me watch the process and explained everything. Luckily he had the correct part stocked and the house was warm within minutes. He tested and retested until satisfied all was well. Brent is very personable yet professional. He was candid about some other issues with the furnace including potential costs, and then offered great advice and a personal recommendation (like this one) to call another specialist he trusts. No doubt his success is due to the care he takes with his business and his commitment to excellent, honest service. In parting, he also offered a generous guarantee on the work. I will never lose the number for Shift Air.

    Repair Furnace

    I was very impressed with Shift Air Mechanical Ltd. I contacted Brent yesterday, and even though he was swamped with two other installations, he offered to come by last night. As it turned out, our furnace was functioning (well enough...just not great) and we decided an an early morning appt. the next day. Brent arrived on time, was incredibly professional and personable, and had the furnace up and running within the hour. Terrific job, Brent! Thanks for your help...

    Air Conditioning

    I had three companies (two large and Shift Air Mechanical (SAM) quote on an air conditioner for my house. The two large companies sent sales reps who asked a few questions, peaked at my furnaces and then gave me a quote that was over $1000 more than SAM. Brent from SAM on the other hand, spent a considerable amount of time understanding what we were looking for and checked out our furnaces as well as the outside location for the unit before providing a quote. Brent also was the person who installed our unit and everything went smooth as silk. The a/c unit he recommended has worked beautifully! I highly recommend Brent and SAM!

    AC

    All the work was done on time and per quote. Very professional service. I would definitely recommend Shift Air Mechanical Ltd for the installation of an AC. Brent was responding to my emails (questions) very quickly and I appreciate it.
