    Prompt and Thorough

    We have an annual maintenance contract with Boonstra and have for years. The price indicated is for the whole year's contract. They are always courteous, they communicate well with customers and each other, and their work and work habits are impeccable. Heating and A/C are 2 less worries about our property for us, thanks to Boonstra

    Boiler problems

    Not happy with the high pressure tactics used on us to buy a new boiler. We just needed a new part which we had ordered two years earlier as that was what they said we needed then but the boiler started working again. Now they tell us the part is obsolete even though another company gave us a quote for the part. We have paid a monthly fee for more than 5 years now and have kept getting the run around for this repair. We are going somewhere else now. Not at all happy.

    HVAC service from Boonstra's

    High quality customer service is what we receive from Boonstra's. Technician Matt conducted a thorough & comprehensive maintenance program on our furnace. His pleasant manner and his patience with questions were also greatly appreciated. Thank You Matt!

    AC check

    Very pleased with tech Luis who did the check on my AC this morning. Very friendly and helpful went above and beyond to address a couple of issues l had and took care of an issue l had from a previous call that l was not happy with. I have dealt with Boonstra for many years as a very satisfied customer in Burlington but since replacing furnace AC and hot water tank in 2018 l felt the service was lacking compared to past experience. Today’s service restored my faith in the company and l will definitely be requesting Luis for future services.

    AC installation

    Started dealing with Boonstra when I purchased a new Air Conditioner and had it installed on July 9th, 2020. A few days later when reviewing the contract, I noticed that a new thermostat should have been installed at the same time. Up to this point I was impressed with the level of service that Boonstra had provided. I contacted the sales person, (Tony) on July 13. He got back to me the same day and said he would look after it that week. Followed up with him again on July 19th, looking for an update, and received no response. On July 21st, I called the office to request a bill of sale and credit card receipt, which I had expected them to send me without having to request one. At that point I also talked to the customer service person about the thermostat and he said someone from service would be contacting me in a couple days. It is now Aug 4 and and there has been no contact from anyone about when I am getting my thermostat. Brenda

    Very disappointed after years of service with Boonstra

    I note all the positive reviews are about furnace A/C replacement when people are paying big bucks. I felt the same when our furnace/AC was replaced last year. However, this spring/summer I have been totally frustrated with their service. Boonstra phoned ME to arrange a standard A/C check up at the beginning of the COVID shutdown. I said I didn't want anyone in my house and it wasn't A/C weather anyway. They then set up an appt. for sometime in May. They have subsequently phoned and postponed this appt. three times. The last time they postponed at 8 a..m. on the morning we were all set and waiting for them to arrive (dog walked, breakfast over, so that my husband with compromised health and dog could be in a room where they would not interact with the serviceman). When I expressed frustration over being informed so late about this cancellation, they apologized, rebooked and said we would be their first customer, no cancellations. That was this morning. Once, again, we were all set for their arrival and were delighted when we received a phone call at 7:55 saying the technician would be here in 30 min. When no-one had arrived by 9:00, I phoned and was told he was probably held up in traffic, and would be there soon, and I was given his name. When he hadn't arrived by 9:45, I phoned again. By this time, we had re-organized everything, my husband had moved to another room for his nap. After quite some time, I received a phone call from the original dispatcher saying she was very sorry, but they didn't know that the technician had asked for the day off (so why the phone calls telling me he was on his way, and giving me his name?) and they were sending another technician. It is now nearly 11 a.m. and he has just arrived...three hours after we had been informed a technician was on the way. If this was the first time we had been inconvenienced, I could understand....but there is clearly a problem with the scheduling of routine maintenance of furnace/AC after one has paid the big bucks for the installation of a new unit. The installation was very costly....and I'm not even sure it was indicated. I've been told I may have been misinformed when told we MUST install a new furnace for safety precautions. And I am certainly not pleased with the maintenance scheduling. Too bad...I used to swear by Boonstra maintenance and repairs....but I would no longer recommend them.

    A/C

    Omar and the Boonstra team are straight pros! We reached out for help with our A/C unit that they installed for the previous owner of our house. Boonstra was intent on fixing the problem and for no additional cost. They promptly diagnosed the issue and sent two techs out to complete the job the same week. I was anticipating some issue relating to warranty and fine print but Omar explained that his number one priority is to keep the good name of Boonstra and their well-respected reputation. They upheld their end of the work for no cost. I will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Professional and quality. Great company

    Very polite

    I’ve had a furnace and air conditioner installed, ducts cleaned, and a gas line put it to my fireplace. In each case, with different workers, the young guys were very professional, swift working and pleasant. If I asked a question they were very approachable and helpful. As they moved through their work, they were already handling things ahead of it: keeping things clean, prepping spaces, making sure the house was taken care of as they went. I’d point out that their work was professional but that they were pleasant, which isn’t always the case with people who come to do work at your house. From my perspective, the idea of calling Boonstra means getting your phone call answered quickly; getting an appointment scheduled in a reasonable time; work is done to completion and the workers are very family friendly. I wish I remembered all of their names so that I could recognize them properly. If this serves as a reference, good. You’re in good hands. Jamie

    Air Conditioning

    I would recommend Boonstra! They were at our house within 5 hours for a service call. At which time they confirmed our thoughts that we need a new unit. We had a new unit installed within 24 hrs. They were willing to negotiate with us on price. Everyone was very friendly from start to finish.

    AC Installation

    My AC unit failed after 19 years, and I called Omar Atiyeh at Boonstra. His quick response got things moving very quickly, and a service crew was out the next day. To no ones surprise, the unit was done and needed to be replaced. Another call to Omar and he offered me a great deal on a new Lennox unit, which he said he could get installed the next day. I was even more impressed the next day with the 2 installers, Chris and Matteo. Top notch and very professional workers. Attention to detail was awesome, from trimming off the tie wrap ends to making sure every little piece of scrap was picked up when the job was done. I would highly recommend Boonstra , and ask for Omar to send Chris and Matteo if you want the best service. Job well done guys!
