    Interior waterproofing - fantastic job

I have only great things to say about this company and its wonderful staff. I discovered a leak in our basement and called a few different places for quotes. From a homeowners perspective, the words you never want to hear is "leak" or "foundation crack". Fedor was fast to respond and provided a very reasonable price for the work required. I chose aquamaster because I found Fedor to be the most knowledgeable and professional of everyone else. Furthermore, I thought I couldn't go wrong as the homestar reviews were 10/10 across the board with very satisfied customers. Work promptly began and the team showed up on time and delivered first class, professional work. They explained all their work along the way and ensured every step was done above and beyond expectations. At the final stage of the job, it was discovered that one long branch of my basement drain was 95% clogged with grease the previous owner had poured down the sink over the years! I was devastated, however the team worked diligently and replaced the affected section of the pipe without any issue. The work was completed in 1.5 days and the cleanup was fantastic. My greatest respect goes to the team as they set the standards for professionalism. I highly recommend this company to anyone and would do business again.

    Interior Water-proofing

Our thanks to Fedir and his team at Aquamaster for a job well done. We had the entire north wall of our basement water-proofed. The work was done promptly and thoroughly. Additional (unanticipated) work was completed without hassle. The cost was reasonable, and at least on par with or better than the competition. I would definitely recommend Aquamaster for interior water-proofing needs.

    CHANGE OUTSIDE WATER VALVE

We got Aquamaster to change our leaking outside water valve, it had been leaking the whole summer, but we just kept putting a bucket to collect water. Since winter is coming however, we decided to change it. We called Aquamaster and Fedor came by the next week to do the job. He was very nice, punctual and did the job fast and tested for any leaks before leaving. We will use Aquamaster again for any plumbing needs. P.G.

    House Waterproofing

...I don't even know where to start. Part 1. (Very pessimistic) We moved into our "dream" house in August and after the first rain here I realized that the wall in the basement (cold room) was actually leaking. It was horrible!!! The previous owner disclosed nothing and even the home inspector - didn't "see" anything. It was a huge stress for us since we have never been in this situation. The house has a "built-in" concrete flower bed at the front of the house (on both sides of the porch/cold room). So water from the leaking sprinkler system pipes installed was inside flower bed plus the rain water year-after-year which finally found its way into our basement. The house also has a walkout basement and located on a steep hill. During the inspection I saw some water around corner of the house at the bottom of the hill but the inspector assured me that it's normal - probably just water from the yesterday's rain. Hmm... after few weeks I realized that water level had not decreased ... and after digging a hole near the wall I realized that the water was actually coming up from the underground like in a well. When I told my neighbor about my concerns, he simply replied with something like: "everyone knows that there is a natural spring water under this house. It was always like this". At that moment, we just panicked. Part 2. (More optimistic) I knew nobody in this business and just googled "waterproofing". I found HomeStars.com and start reading reviews. I selected seven (7) companies with 10/10 stars and invited them to my house. Reps from four companies showed up quickly. Their findings and proposed solutions were so different ranging from "let's waterproof that leaking wall from the inside" to "better put this house on MLS tonight" ...and as you may imagine their estimates were well, let's say ... very different. Aquamaster guy was one of two who sounded at least logical and reasonable to me. I almost decided to go with another company ... but that guy was always too busy to answer my calls. I was in distress and was desperately looking for help. Vasyl, on the other hand, was very responsive and open to answer all of my questions, and discuss any of my concerns. So I decided to go with AquaMaster and we agreed to split the project into two phases. 1. To deal with flower bed and leaking basement issue. 2. To try to solve "natural spring" surprise. Vasyl didn't asked for deposit or anything, and told me to pay after job is done. Part 3. (Exciting part) I live in Aurora and the crew needed to drive a long way from Mississauga so they were coming around 10:00AM every day and leaving the site around 6:00PM - always on time, with no excuses. Some days it was 4 people working on site - sometimes even 6. Vasyl was present EVERY day. So, they removed 4 Christmas trees and 45 boxwood bushes from the flower bed, stored those in designated places covering with top soil to preserve, excavated 11 feet deep and removed all soil on both sides of the porch/cold room, disassembled sprinkler pipes, cleaned all walls and filled scratches with hydraulic cement, replaced over 80 feet of old "weeping tiles", installed a sump pump in the cold room, wrapped all walls with a "blue skin" and covered all walls with membrane, installed new pipes for sprinklers, dumped soil back to the flower bed and tampered with "jumping Jack" tool, planted back all trees and bushes and covered with 4 yards of triple mix soil. Surrounding area was cleaned/washed every day after work. I was so happy with the results and I asked Vasyl to do waterproofing not only on front but all around the house. In some places they didn't have a choice but to remove and re-install back the interlocking. Also they replaced a good 400 sq.ft of the sod. Those guys also diverted all of the rain water from the roof into white plastic tubes installed und3rground. Ohh...and I forgot to mention - Vasyl and the team also solved my "natural spring" mystery: we learned that during house construction - builder decided to discharge all water collected in weeping tiles by simply placing "ends" of those tubes under the house. And since the house has a walkout basement it was no wonder that all of the water was simply going to the bottom of the hill and staying at the same spot for the last 10 years!!! It took them almost TWO (2) months to do the whole project and Vasyl always kept his word. His team worked very hard every day, lots of manual labor ... and they never demanded or complaiied even handling my "extra ideas" and "valuable suggestions". Only now, thinking back about those crazy days in September/October - I fully understand how much I appreciate the guy and his team. They did it! Glad I made the right choice. Thank you guys! Regards, Oleg

    Waterproofing basment on semi-detached home

We saw Aquamaster work on another house and they seemed very thorough and efficient. We checked them out on HomeStars and saw that they were well-rated. Their website described their process and warranty. We worked with Fedor from Aquamaster and he was prompt in responding to me and comptetive in their pricing. We hired them to pour concrete to make a suitable surface and then apply tar and delta along the whole side of the house and front. They then let the ground settle before putting the paving stones back. They started and finshed when they promised (unlike my previous contractors). The only concern I had was the re-use of the previous window well that didn't look like it would prevent water from coming in. They resolved this without question by digging it out and replacing it at no extra cost. Thanks Aquamaster!

    charak@pathcom.com

Fedor came to quote for the installation of a Backwater valve in our basement. He took the time to scope the drain pipe for no extra charge. The men who came to do the work were efficient, clean, polite, quiet and worked hard. Included in the price was the replacement of a broken section of pipe that was discovered during the scope. They tidied up when they were done and we are extremely satisfied with the results. All paperwork was supplied and completed with Fedor's assistance which we subsequently submitted for the rebate from the city. We would recommend them to anyone who needs a great plumber.

    Waterproof basement wall

We had Aquamaster in to do a repair to the rear wall of our house. Water had started to leak into the basement and we knew we had to get it fixed. We called a few other companies to get estimates and found their response poor. Coming home one day I saw Aquamasters van at a neighbours doing repairs to their basement. After they were done, I went and talked to the neighbor and he showed me their work and had nothing but great things to say about how they irked and the finished job. I called them the same day. Fedor showed up the next day and answered every question I had and even told me things I had never thought of. His team showed up a few days later and started to dig 8 feet down with no help from any equipment. The way my backyard is didn't allow them to get any equipment in there, so, they did it all by hand and it's all very dense clay. They finished the job in 2 days and came back for a couple of hours on the third to make sure my backyard was put back exactly as they found it. They are very professional and will answer any question you have. I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to have them back if I ever need anything else done. The quality and experience they show on the job was worth every cent. Thank You Gentlemen!!

    new addition ruff in plumbing

"Fedor" and his crew, Very professional and knowledgeable in all aspects of plumbing. Great prices and solid work. I had them ruff in a new bathroom, separate shower, double sink and toilet all of which required custom installations. After all work was completed I had it inspected by the City of Toronto and it Passed with flying colours. The inspector had commented that the work completed not only met the Ontario Building code was neat and tidy and whoever did this job knows exactly what they are doing. I have and will continue to recommend this company to anyone in need of Plumbing going forward.

    exterior basement waterproofing

I had 3 quotes on my basement waterproofing. The price quotes were fairly similar but I found Aquamaster’s quote to be detailed and specific like the brands of the waterproofing and membrane. I found Fedor from Aquamaster honest and willing to work around the constraints of the landscape in the area to be waterproofed. The crew was polite, knowledgeable and hard working. I felt the project was well organized and professionally done. The bushes around the area were replanted after the waterproofing and everything, including a water sprinkler connection (which became disconnected during the project), was put back in place. The clean-up was thorough. In summary, a job well done and wonderful people to work with.
