Daniel and his team of painters are just incredible! I called him a week before we moved into our new home and he somehow managed to get the job started on time. His quote was truthful and there were no "surprises" at all, and the painters were clean, respectful, on time and always swept / vacuumed after. We accidentally scratched a wall moving our stuff around, and they fixed (putty and paint) it for free. The color consultant was also a great help. The painters were all very professional and did a superb job with meticulous attention to detail, especially Brian, who did the majority of the job. Thanks guys! We'll be calling you when we want to paint again.

Daniel and his team came through and did a very good job. I was very worried after day two of the project. Daniel reassured me that this was par for the course and that everything would be completed to my satisfaction. He even sent an additional painter to make sure timelines would be met.

I hired a painter on the recommendation of another contractor. After 6 days and a few mishaps (falling off the ladder and spilling paint all over my uncovered possessions for one) I realized that contrary to the first eta of 'about 2 weeks' the painter was settling in for the long haul alla Murphy Brown. I did a quick calculation of how many walls were partially finished vs how many were still to go, and realized a month was probably being a conservative eta for completion. After a search on Homestars I called Daniel at Strokes of Genius. He came right over, looked at the job, put a quote on the table with an all-in number and a guaranteed end date and I signed on it right on the spot. Dan cleared a place in their schedule for the next week. He even sent Sabrina, a colour consultant over to help me make my final choices. She was really great help. She sent all the info to SOG and they showed up on time, on the day, with their materials, ready to go to work. Steve and the guys worked like the pro's they are and finished the job one day before schedule. My husband and I are artists with a combined 60+ years experience in our business. We both have sharply trained eyes for judging a bad line or teeny inconsistency in colour. I can only say Steve has one of the steadiest hands I have seen for cutting a colour and all the crew worked to the highest standards. I am not someone who tollerates people in my house while I am working either but I was impressed at how professional and personable the crew was - I was shocked to find I didn't mind them being there at all. Steve was in charge and lovely to deal with - he patiently listened to all my comments, answered questions and kept me well informed. Dan was in the background making sure everything went well and on time - even after a couple of colour changes they still came in a day early! I knew I could call him with any little detail and he would address it seriously. I would recommend this company for any job big or small. They know their stuff and they get it done on time. A rare experience these days! So refreshing! I will always call on SOG when I need a paint job done!

Steve and Rob arrived at 8:15, left at 4:30 and did a fantastic job, best painters we have ever encountered. Attended to all the details, patched, repaired and painted everything, caulked etc. Neat, left our place as clean as they found it..super job.

We met Daniel at the Fall Home Show and arranged to have some painting done on our new home this spring. He showed up as scheduled for the initial estimate and was very professional and we felt the estimate was fair for the work we wished to have done. His crew of Steve, Brian and Matt showed up on time and were all very personable and also careful with our home over the three days of painting. Their painting skills were quickly evident and they worked efficiently to get the work completed. We were very pleased at how well they managed to paint a 16 ft tall room with as much attention to detail as in the other rooms. They all worked together very well and also offered painting and carpentry tips that will be useful in the future. We were so pleased with the work that we intend to have them back in the future to do another project and would highly recommend Strokes of Genius. Customer service is clearly a priority for both Daniel and his crew and their pride and skill in their work is very evident.

I'd never hired a painter before, but my current home has some high walls and ceilings that I wasn't confident to tackle. I met Daniel at the Ottawa Home Show in January. He came round when it suited me best to discuss our plans and before leaving he offered some excellent suggestions (he has tons of experience) and a very reasonable quote. The guys were in the house for 3 days. They thoroughly prepped and sanded before applying 2 coats to everything. They even took photos showing how well they protected the floors and stairs while working on the ceilings. He used very good paint, but paint isn't cheap (even with the discount he can secure). I joked at the beginning that I didn't want the finsihed job to look like I'd done it, and it looks just brilliant! I don't usually say that about my painting skills :-)

Called SOG from the internet ,and Dan showed up on time with smiles and a hearty good morning,which set the tone of the job..We went over the job,negotiated a price and time,what colour and product we wanted to use and set a paint date. As a tradesman my self and having painted since I was 14 when I was trained by my Uncle,a professional plasterer and painter,I was going to look at this job from start to finish..I had never called a painter before but decided to check out the prices..I was pleasantly pleased and Dan got the go ahead from my wife and I.So on the morning of the paint date the painters showed up right on time..very clean and professional looking and started in..Brian was the lead hand on the project and we were both very pleased and impressed with his manner,skills and organizational skills to say nothing of his painting ability,number one in our book. Through out the project Brian was joined by Luke,Darren and Matt ,who installed two sets of bi.fold doors and painted them (Extra to contract). We were treated more than fairly by Dan and all the crew and they worked steadily and took very few ,if any breaks ,except short lunch breaks. They used drop sheets and were very careful through out. We were very pleased and could recommend this company to anyone. As a past business owner ,I know great employees and tradesmen and will hire them again for future work. Alex Blair Ottawa

Called Daniel on a Tuesday, met for a quote on Thursday and Rob (the painter) started the next Tuesday. He was done by the time I arrived home on Wednesday. Beautiful job on 3 rooms, 2 stairwells and one hallway (kitchen, dining, living rooms), walls, ceilngs and trim. Great colour and crisp, clean lines. Strokes' price was the lowest of 3 quotes I obtained. One week from the first contact to completion. Excellent service and great work. Very pleased.

The owner of the company Daniel came to my house to discuss what I wanted painted. He assured me that I'd be completely satisfied with the work his guys would do especially the prep work. They did an amazing job on the first 2 rooms and I ended up getting most of the house painted. I did purchase 2 vouchers and I can't remember what I paid for the vouchers so the price above is an estimate of what I paid excluding the vouchers. Highly recommend Daniel and his team as they did an excellent job.

I was very pleased with the service I received from Strokes of Genius Painting. I hired them to do a stairwell and thought it would take the full day I paid for. To my delight not only did the painter have time to do 2 coats he also managed to paint my dinning room and foyer. The painter showed up on time and was very professional and meticulous in his work and clean up. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.
