I hired "Stroke of Genius" based on review on Homestars to paint a two bedroom condo prior to offering for sale. As has been mentioned in other reviews Daniel was professional. Painters arrived early on appointed day . Additional painters and cleaners were brought on to keep to schedule, which I appreciated. Work was done during a period of extreme cold and the painters pointed out problem areas to me and proposed solutions which were implemented in the original budget. I found everyone I dealt with to be very professional and considerate. I would recommend this firm.

This is THE painting company to call in Ottawa. After a bathroom reno we decided to keep the ball rolling and paint the upper hallway, staircase landing and living and dining room. Found Strokes of Genius at HomeStars and called owner Daniel. The rest of the story is pretty much perfection. Daniel came to our house the next day (a Thursday) and booked us for the next Monday. By the way, we had narrowed colour choice to a few options and Daniel was terrific in helping with the final choice - which turned out to be perfect. Amazingly, Daniel suggested he could have it done in a day. No waiting! Our painters, Frank and John, arrived first thing Monday and got right to business. We walked through the job and they got to it. 9 hours later we arrived home to amazingly refreshed rooms. Frank and John had gone beyond our expectations - removing window mullions and painting them, sanding some rough spots in a door transom, and a host of details I would not have expected to be addressed. The painting was superb. They were neat, clean and incredibly courteous. They stuck with it for a few more hours till it was done. Based on previous experience with other painters, I expected this to be two or three days. They managed perfection in just one day - and at a very competitive price. I would highly recommend Strokes of Genius to anyone in Ottawa looking for excellent, reliable, courteous and competitively priced painters.

We are very happy with the results of the work. The house looks very classy. Daniel was pleasant to deal with and very professional, and Adam and the rest of the crew did geat work and were very obliging. An issue with unexpected repairs that arose midway was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Daniel suggested embellishments which we really like. All in all, a very successful experience.

I was first drawn to Strokes of Genius from the "eco" side of Daniel's business (greenstrokes) as I was painting a LEED platinum condo. Daniel did offer a comprehensive green package beyond low VOC, but what I didn't expect was how excellent his colour advice would be! He suggested a dark colour for the white dominated bathroom, which was brilliant free design advice when I needed it. Finally, his service was what was the best part, he doesnt stop until youre happy. I then used his and his team for my 1893 house and his design advice came through again! Excellent work. I always recommend him, you will be happy!

We hired Strokes of Genius to paint our entire first floor a few months ago (which included painting over extremely dark paint on the walls; painting all of the ceilings; and painting our interior doors and baseboards). We found them online and read great reviews. When the owner, Daniel, came by to provide us with an estimate, we were immediately impressed with his professionalism and the fact that he took a lot of pride in his company, his employees and his work. The job itself went extremely well. The painter that worked in our home was very professional - he arrived on time; he was extremely courteous and he tidied up at the end of each day on the job (about 2.5 days in total for our needs). He took the time to explain to us the progress of the job and he executed the painting expertly. Having Strokes of Genius complete this painting job for us relieved us of a huge burden. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of the paint job, as well as the professionalism and reliability of the company. We are planning to hire them again to complete the rest of our house. We would highly recommend them.

These guys are rock stars of the painting world. The service was very friendly and professional, and when they were done I searched high and low for a crooked line or a drip of paint on the floor or a spot they missed, and nothing. I was amazed. The staff is friendly and meticulous. I have recommended them to many friends and they all have been very satisfied with the outcome. Strokes of Genius will always be the people I call on for my painting needs, you should too!

My husband and I are beyond satisfied with the work that Strokes of Genius did on our house. Daniel, the owner, and Rick and Luc, the painters, are extremely professional, friendly, and are committed to doing a great job. Our house looks fabulous -- the quality is amazing. The work was hardly a disruption. The painters did a great job of cleaning up each night and they were very careful with putting down drop cloths and covering our furniture so there were no damages. We had originally hired another painting company and they absolutely destroyed our house - destroyed our furniture, with paint on the carpet, paint on the hardwood, you name it. It was so bad, we had to let them go. We saw the great reviews Strokes of Genius was getting, so we called Daniel for a quote. After explaining that we needed his team to come in a-la-Mike Holmes and repair and repaint our house after what the first company had done, Daniel had his team lined up within four days. So words of advice, if you want the job done RIGHT the first time, contact Strokes of Genius. You will not regret it!

The team did a great job at our house. The fresh coats of paint helped sell our house in no time (6 days). We will certainly call on their services again. Thank you Daniel and your team (Connor and company).
