As with any large job there are some minor concerns to be addressed, but overall we are extremely pleased with the product and the workmenship. The installers cleaned up and took away all the debris everyday. They were contientious, well mannered and very polite. I would highly recommend Northern Comfort in the future.

Replaced all windows on large home, also replaced all window sills with new stone sills. Also replaced patio door same time. AND We also did the garage doors at same time with Northern (but had new front door done custom elsewhere). All windows are black with triple glass. Garage doors are top of the line (for what Northern offers - there are higher end doors) also in black matching. Patio doors in matching black with between glass blinds. Sills are stone. It was large order to say the least. Garage Doors were done fairly quickly - the installer was absolutely first rate and very professional, and though not on contract - Northern offered to install new garage door openers I had already ordered from my suppliers. I had them already installed by the time they returned so not necessary. Materials and installation is very good. Windows -- took a long time to arrive to be sure but windows are great, only time will tell how they hold up. They appear to be well made and operators are very smooth in action. All windows were the right size. I have one window where the interior trim is not level (1/2" over 4') and not the same height as rest of room matching windows - I will probably just fix this myself. The window is level and same height as others - it was just the inside trim somehow. The Installers are 100% professional and being in the construction business myself, these guys are great. Took a week to install all windows. And another day to install patio doors. The outside caulking is some of the best I have seen. Then we waited several weeks for the sills - it was a different specialized crew. Very very good work and looks great. These guys bent over backwards to fix old brickwork as necessary. One set of windows needed new flashing as sills didn't quite meet together with new windows, this took a few days to get resolved but it was done. Overall everyone was neat and cleaned up well all material and waste. Other than the few issues I mentioned and a long delivery time (not unusual in construction these days and lots of rain days has slowed down some outside works) I am very pleased and would recommend Northern to my clients and others.

The installation team replaced one exterior door, an exterior basement window and two previously installed sealed units, which had lost their seal (warranty). The work ethic, thoroughness and professionalism demonstrated by the two installers was excellent. They are certainly an asset to the Northern Comfort team.

I had four (4) windows replaced, one being a large bay window. The team did an amazing job installing the windows and I felt very comfortable with them.

Ordered a double pre-hung fibreglass door system and 3 windows in May. Everything started out well. We understood there would be 8-10 week wait for doors and windows. Windows were installed (end of July) and we are happy with that installation (outside of slight mess left by installers). Doors were installed same day as windows except the doors installed were not the correct doors (wrong panels). I spoke with Manager first week of August to make sure correct doors were ordered and to indicate I did not want to wait another 10 weeks for the new doors. Was told it would not be that long but couldn't give me delivery date at that point. Called Northern last Wednesday to inquire about status of installation (as that was 7 weeks since new door order went in). Advised that Manager would have to call me back. No call. So called Manager today (Monday) and found out that it is expected to be another 2 weeks before doors are in (9 weeks). Was also advised that they will only be replacing the door slabs - not installing new pre-hung door system. Needless to say, I am disappointed. I recognize mistakes happen but I do expect that when that occurs, that the company take a proactive approach, provide updates/follow-up with the customer, and take steps to turn a frustrating customer experience into a positive one in the hopes of attracting future business... but I haven't found that, in this case.

We just had all of our windows and exterior doors replaced by Northern Comfort and are very pleased with the end result. The Sales Representative we dealt with, Justin Chapman, was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The skill level of the installers is very evident and the results are truly beautiful. As is often the case on a big job, there were a few glitches along the way but Northern Comfort made sure that each issue was quickly and completely resolved. Justin made us a commitment at the very beginning that he would do whatever was necessary to ensure our complete satisfaction and he was true to his word. He stayed in touch and followed through on everything, including regularly dropping by throughout the installation process just to be sure we were happy with the progress. Making a large financial investment in ones own home can be stressful and it was comforting to know we could truly rely on Justin.
