We called Plumbers Direct this week based on a recomendation from a friend - and we are really glad we did. We moved into an older home and had immediate challenges with the toilets. We called Plumbers Direct and we were thrilled with the service. Here is why: - Peter was responsive. He called us back quickly. - He arrived at our home at the agreed upon time. (no waiting!) - He was respectful of our home environment (even had cool little booties to protect our floors) - He got the job done quickly and effectively. - He was up front about the costs and dialogued with us on different options to save us money. We never felt pressured or stupid asking questions. Peter is a true professional and a clear communicator. We are thrilled with the work done in our three bathrooms and we will be calling Plumbers Direct again in the future. I'm a really picky person, so this says alot!! Thank you Peter!

Peter alerted me to two city programs that would allow me to affordably install both a working floor drain and a backwater valve to prevent flooding from city sewers. Thanks to Plumbers Direct I have better drainage and more security from flooding. It was hassle free for me as all the city permits were taken care off and all the pre-paperwork was ready.

We lost hot water throughout our house and after looking online for a simple solution to our problem I realized this was beyond my abilities to fix it. I called Peter at Plumbers Direct and he came that same day at the time he said he would. I didn't have to wait around or chase him down. He was polite, cleaned up after himself and fixed the problem to our satisfaction. It turned out to be an issue with the mixing valves. We now have hot water again throughout our house.

Peter's a rockstar! He did some kitchen and bathroom work for me in a multiplex rental property that I own. He was on-time (hard to find!), charged me exactly what he said he would charge when he quoted the job (no surprises!), and even cleaned up after his work! I would definitely recommend him to anyone because he's honest and does a great job.

Great service. Peter was there the next day and explained everything. He is working to get a basement drain to prevent flooding. I have used Plumbing Direct and would recommend them for anyone in the future.

These guys were great- admittedly my issue was relatively simple- still, he did all the research to make sure he was solving the issue properly, that there was no other issue that he needed to consider, etc. I would absolutely have Peter back if I needed a plumber for anything. He was honest and straightforward and showed up well before he said he would.

From first phone call to job completion, Peter was professional plus. Along with Tensing they did an outstanding job in replacing my worn out leaking water heater. Highly recommended for their effort. Thanks guys.

I called Plumbers Direct when I found my nat. gas HW tank inoperable this morning. Peter was onsite and assessing the situation extremely quickly, and by the end of the day had disposed of my old tank and installed a fully functioning tank - including gas, plumbing and venting repairs to the connections. The work and general approach was very professional, and I would recommend their services.

I needed a new vanity top/sink installed onto the existing cabinet and the plumbing hooked up. Relatively simple job, there might have been a tricky part on the counter install but the plumbing was all standard. I called Peter for a quote, he said it's $50 for the service call if I don't decide to proceed (otherwise the $50 goes towards the cost if I do). So much for the idea of a free estimate suggested on their web site. Anyways I said fine. Peter came and quoted an extremely high (unreasonable in my opinion) price well over $500. This of course was well over my budget. So he said "ok that will be $50." I then asked him how much it would cost if I got the vanity top installed separately and just had to connect the plumbing (taps and drain, that's it). He said we could knock off $100. So that's well over $400 just to connect a sink to a drain pipe and the hoses to the taps. Outrageous. Whether he just didn't want to do the job, and it was a quick $50, or if he genuinely charges that outrageous amount for a small job, either way I would not trust this company and will not be calling him again. The $50 fee for a quote might be standard practice in the industry, but if the quotes are unreasonable, then the consumer gets soaked the $50 and is no closer to a solution to their problem.

Peter was progressive and skilled, good at solving complicated plumbing problems, but also has a logical and resourceful mind. He had a profound ability to determine the layout of plumbing systems, planning, installing and servicing plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment and controls.
