In 2021, we carried the aesthetic from the 2016 backyard project to the remaining exterior elements of your home by constructing side walkways, steps and retaining walls along the east and west sides of the house and the front entrance walkway and garden wall, as well as extending the size of the backyard patio, among other project elements. Fortunately, we were able to secure a sufficient quantity of pavers and wall system units to match what had been installed in your backyard five years ago, as they were no longer being made by the manufacturer. While the quality and aesthetic of the final product are important, the client experience throughout the entire process is equally important – we’re working on your ‘home turf’ after all! Dear B., Thank you for your kind recommendation of the ALL-PRO Landscaping Team! We were glad to work with you and your wife on this second project in May 2021 focusing on your private outdoor living space, after having enhanced the curb appeal of your home in September 2020. As in so many aspects of life, timing is everything. Luckily, you approached me with the idea of the second project as we were putting the finishing touches on your front entrance, because your pavers were being discontinued by the manufacturer. We were able to secure enough material for the second project and store it at ALL-PRO Landscaping’s staging yard over the winter months until project start the following May. Dear ALL-PRO Landscaping Client: We are so pleased that you finally have the crisp, clean, defined driveway/parking area that you had been contemplating for so long, as well as the backyard utility area on the other side of the gate. It finally came together after a referral to us from your neighbours who are previous ALL-PRO clients! Your images are wonderful, and absolutely confirm that you and your daughter made the right colour choices – the combination really pops, just as you had hoped (and I had recommended)! Dear Brenda, When I think back to ALL-PRO Landscaping’s first project for you and your husband, it seems like a lifetime ago -- but, then again, it also feels like only yesterday! Through our many projects over the years, we have come to consider you to be friends, although we only see you for new projects or when working in your neighbourhood. I would be remiss if I did not thank you for the countless referrals you have kindly sent our way. In 2020, the re-imagining of your ‘backyard’ space, which essentially wraps around three sides of the house, was our largest project for you yet. It was, as always, a pleasure and an honour to be the “go-to person for landscaping projects” for you and your husband! We know that you are enjoying your beautiful new space! Thank you, Keith, for sharing this review of our sizable 2016 project for you and your wife. Your observations are perhaps all-the-more valuable for HomeStars readers because they reflect how well the installation has weathered over time. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for calling upon the ALL-PRO Landscaping Team this year (2021) for the replacement of a 48-linear-foot stretch of old pressure-treated lumber fence along the far end of your backyard and old double gate at the north side of the house. It can sometimes be a bit difficult for folks to visualize the solution for a problem area. While this recent project was much smaller than we would be able to accept from a non-client, we are always delighted to hear from our previous clients and assist with any landscape project. I am glad that we were able to integrate your work into our construction schedule without impacting the timing of other client projects. The small scope of your project made this possible, along with the fact that we were running ahead of schedule. When you called the ALL-PRO office, our project construction schedule was fully booked for the season. We were routinely declining invitations to quote on new projects. However, upon hearing your unfortunate story, we tried to find a way to integrate your project into the schedule. It certainly made things challenging for the team, but we wanted to give your story a positive ending. As it turns out, there was a silver lining. Our crew leader on your project, Dan, is gifted at his craft and improved the original installation. Also, the bagged cement left in your garage by the previous contractor would not have been the optimal material for re-adhering the flagstone to your concrete steps and landing. The material we used is a much better choice for that kind of job. This re-installation project should never have been needed in the first place. The flagstone had been installed only two years ago, but the wrong bonding agent had been used, resulting in the loosening of the flagstone this year. Thank you for your kind review!
