My audio video system set up was a little more complicated since I have a sound bar amp and integrated amp for specific source playback in one room. David was able to set it all up exactly the way I wanted it and program my universal remote so all of my equipment could be controlled easily. I appreciated his attention to detail and his conscientious work ethic. He patiently gave me a tutorial on how everything was to be operated. I would recommend David to anyone looking for someone responsible, reliable and personable to set up their home theatre system. Also, if you need audio video equipment, he can get anything you need at great prices below retail.

David is the consummate professional. He is very meticulous in his work. He mounted my 60" LED, sorted and labelled all the various cables and then undertook the task of getting my speakers to work as intended. He takes the time to explain what he is doing and what the result will be for that task. The previous owner of my home did a less than stellar job on installing wall speakers. David was able to sort it all out where I now have a much better sound system. I would highly recommend David and will definitely use his services again.

Recently moved into a house with a pre-wired sound system. I had my own home theatre set up and I needed help integrating the two. David was prompt in replying to my call and catered to my schedule, made the trip and was ready to work on day 1. He looked at what I had and saw my vision of my home and helped bridge the two. He gave me options and educated me on the pros and cons of each. He provided equipment and always had it on hand - not delaying work. His work was very clean and organized and the end product is one I'm very satisfied with. I've already reccomended him to friends and wanted to reccomend him to the internet as well!

Recently purchased a new home theatre system. Had difficulty with the installationa nd activating all components together. Contacted David - very professional and efficient. Was able to come same day. Quickly and effecti\vely he figued out where the problems were, corrected the setup, and completed under the estinated cost. I would definitely recommend David's services.

Like many consumers of electronics, the appeal of a new TV , receiver and bluray etc very quickly outpace the knowledge we have. Setup and operation of these units, multiple cables , connections, remotes etc leave us with an inoperable system , that we seem powerless to get up and running. After having spent 3 to 4 hours trying on my own as well as 2 to 3 hours on the web without success in finding understandable and useable information , I turned to Homestars , where I found David Audio & Video. I called and arranged to have David install my system professionally. David Chivers not only setup the units , but explained how they worked , and suggested options for future improvement if they should become necessary. I would recommend David to anyone , especially those who have reached their frustration limit and who want professional , knowledgeable and efficient assistance at a reasonable rate. David was incredible. Very knowledgeable and worked with us to provide the best solution that fit our needs and budget. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was done correctly and even gave some professional tips about viewing angles and getting the best use of the Monster articulating mount I had purchased. A stand-up guy and worth every penny, we couldn't be more pleased.

David installed my complete home theatre system - Plasma TV, cable-box, AV receiver and 5 speakers. He was extremely efficient, knowledgeable and quick. I would strongly recommend David to anyone who wants their home theatre installed perfectly and for a fair price. He is simply very good, and a nice guy.

David was a great partner on our wall-mounted TV installation. We had no knowledge of him before we found him on Homestars. He helped us decide on the best TV and DVD player for our particular needs, and helped us integrate a wifi-connected box to add web content into the mix. His installation was careful and methodical, and with his low-voltage wall wiring solutions, he managed to help us avoid big wall cuts to reinforce our metal studs. No one else could offer this. David really listened to us and our needs, and was unendingly patient and helpful throughout the process. Also, his prices on equipment were excellent -- as good as we could get shopping on our own. He is also just the nicest guy you could meet. We'd ask him to help us again in a heartbeat. Note: price is the total for all components and installation.

David was exactly the right person to answer my many audio/video-related questions as well as to supply and install a TV on a masonry wall in a condo. He helped me figure out how to set up connections to my TV from the internet as unobtrusively as possible. Moreover, he had the patience to help me think through various technical options (without getting lost in the tech jungle) and the foresight to avoid problems. I recommend David to anyone who appreciates reliability and attention to detail.

We hired David to mount our plasma on an exterior wall, above our fireplace. I knew this was out of my league, because while it would be easy enough to put up the mount, I had no hope of fishing HDMI through the wall with the insulation, and had no clue as to how to run power through the wall. David came right over, promptly put the power and HDMI through... and then did something I never expected: he turned down mounting the bracket, even though we would have paid him more. He explained to us that there were some issues with our bracket, and that we needed a new one (wider so that we could use more studs). I have great respect for him, as he could have just done the job and let us suffer the consequences of a less than perfect install, but instead did the right thing... Recommended for any AV stuff you might need.
