We hired David Chivers to configure our Home Theatre System which was rough wired and installed by an electrician during a recent re-model of our Main Floor. David did a great job. He came prepared with all the tools and supplies necessary to Adjust our system to our needs: He configured the Outdoor Speakers on the deck and sunroom and the Indoor Home Theatre Speakers, our DVD, Universal Harmony Remote, and Sub-Woofer. He also Made suggestions to Improve our systems function such as change some of the audio cables (which electrician installed) to a higher grade for better sound quality, some high quality connectors at the inputs of our Receiver (I don't remember what these are called)...but these were nominal costs when compared to the entire project cost....He even tidied up the cabling which was done in a rather sloppy fashion by the electrician and he used black electrical tape around the cables so they would blend into the dark charcoal wall tiles. We are very happy with our system!

I was looking for someone to consolidate our multiple devices and remotes into one universal remote, check our sound bar. David responded quickly to my email request. We spoke over the phone and he estimated that the job would take 2-3 hours. The price for labour and equipment was very reasonable. Within a few days he was at the house doing the installation. Terrific service - he even brought along his own vacuum cleaner to clean up after himself. No pressure to buy additional equipment. I felt that David was all about meeting my needs. Very impressive. I heartily recommend.

We had purchased a new receiver to replace an old amplifier. All of our A/V components in our main floor family room were installed in a custom cabinet and there was a tangled mass of wires as well as a few small components needed to augment the old analog amplifier. Also, the cabinet did not have sufficient depth to accommodate the new receiver. David's rates were reasonable and he arrived when he said he would. He figured out how to install the receiver (which included cutting out part of the cabinet back wall) and then explained his plan and his reasoning. He was able to install the new receiver, clean up the entire cabinet (gathering and bundling wires and attaching to the back wall inside the cabinet) and replace the old switch components. He also designed the installation such that the receiver could easily be pulled out in the future and new components connected (such as an ipod dock). He rearranged the existing components as well to form a simpler arrangement and create space for future components. David tested the installation to make sure it all worked. David kept the work area very clean throughout the 3 hours and put the debris into a bag for easy disposal. David is intelligent, well-spoken and professional. He is easy to talk to and listens well. As he is paid by the hour, there was no wasted time. Overall I was extremely happy with his work and the entire experience. I highly recommend him.

I have a 7 year old 50 inch television that was very heavy.. We had serious doubts about whether it could be mounted on the wall because of the weight. I called David and was immediately impressed with his knowledge and confidence. He came over and was able to mount the tv on the wall very securely. He was obviously extremely experienced and was very meticulous. We are very happy with his work.

The job that David undertook involved hiding all wires so that the large tv mounted on the wall looked neat and classy. From the beginning, as soon as I contacted David by phone and e-mail, he was very patient and anxious to understand and solve the problem at hand. He came to the house right on time as promised and picked up the mounting bracket himself. He worked meticulously and very analytically to insure that his solution benefitted all related components (internet and other TV's), and kept me informed along the route with various options and suggestions. He was extraordinarily neat, and the compliments that we have received so far reflect the quality of David's work. Would highly recommend him to others

David, Thank you for your assistance in selecting our new 50" TV, along with a blue ray player, PVR, equipment stand and surround sound speakers. I know you worked to make it perfect. Our contractor said that he never saw anyone as particular ("fussy" was his word) as you were. The results are wonderful. The sound with TV, movies, radio and CD's is magnificent. The large picture is great too. While watching sports, one almost feels they are on the football field with the players. Anne and I thank you for giving us an education when we made the purchase of everything, but especially for so much enjoyment when we use the equipment. A sincere thanks, Francis.

Had purchased a new TV, AV Receiver etc and needed lots of wires pulled and everything setup and configured for use. David was great to deal with right from the first contact all the way through to following up after the job to answer questions. Very attentive to detail. Wish i had used him for my original setup 6 years ago which ended up being a bit of a hack job with all the extra holes drilled to pull wires. You can't go wrong working with David - honest and attentive to detail.

My wife and I were doing an extensive reno to our home and I wanted to upgrade our audio/visual capabilities. David was recommended to me by a friend who used his services and we couldn't be happier with the results. From consulting on speakers and installation options, to cabling, to final install and configuration, David was meticulous and thoughtful about all the details - he is a true professional at his craft. I highly recommend his services...

When it turned out that the TV & mounting bracket we had bought weren't suitable for the wall-mounted installation we'd planned, David went with us back to the store to buy the right ones. He then installed the new wall-mounted TV, relocated the old one, and hooked up the DVD players to each. He connected the digital boxes we'd had sitting around for months (because we didn't know what to do with them!) and dealt with our electrician, with Bell and with Rogers to get all the sets properly connected. It was a lot of work, but we felt the cost to be good value, and the work was very neatly done. Technologically challenged as we are, we particularly appreciated his patience in explaining to us the operation of the new set-up. Our only regret is that we did not know about David earlier: then we could have involved him in planning the new installation from the outset! We are grateful to have such a knowledgeable and helpful resource available to us in Owen Sound and have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

We have had the pleasure of having David service us with electronic aid on two separate occassions. Very professional, deligient with attention to detail. He went out of his way to ensure that we were satisfied with the final product.
