Bill has worked on a number of projects for me over the years, including roofing, chimneys, retaining walls and foundation. This past summer he built a garage from the ground up: co-ordinating all elements of design and construction, bringing in experts for each part of the job. Bill and his team are professionals who take pride in their work. I know I can count on them to deliver great results, which, once again, they did.

My dormer windows had holes in them and the wood around them had rotted. They had to be rebuilt. Additionally, the eaves trough needed replacing. While they were up there, they discovered that part of the roof needed a repair along the edge. They fixed that too. Bill quoted his price and stuck to his quote. He did not accept money until the job was complete. He was very knowledgeable and well-spoken. I would highly recommend this Fairney and Sons!

We’re so happy that we select Fairney and Sons. They did an excellent job. Bill went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. He even fixed things that we didn’t ask for I.e. shingle in front of the house and new vents. He crew was clean, friendly and very productive. Well done guys!

We called Fairney and Sons when our roof sprung a leak on a referral from our neighbour. We had delayed our roof replacement too long. Bill was at our house within an hour and had the most reasonable quote of the three companies that we contacted. His crew was on the scene and had our roof replaced before the next rain. Top notch work. Excellent customer service. Very reasonable price. Highly recommend this company.

I recently had my flat roof, back yard deck and front landscaping redone by Bill and his team at Fairney and Sons. Not only were they the most reasonably priced for all three projects combined, but the work was completed as per spec with no surprises in a timely and efficient manner. Bill's constant oversight for each component and his experienced people ensured the project went smoothly. I will definitely use Fairney and Sons again for my next project.

I have been a client since 2008 working and consulting with Billy (owner) has been an eye opener with the suggestions and possibilities offered to me. The workmanship and professionalism is outstanding who ever shows up for the job. I have worked with most of Billy's employees and have to say I am always meet with respect and the job is done in a neat and timely fashion. No matter the work being done large or small I am always consulted with the smallest change. I have found over the years that a lot of contractors give you a quote and start date and do not stick to it this is not the case with Fairney & Sons. Absolutely recommend.

After 5 years of living in our house; we had a list of things that we needed done and wanted done. Bill and Grant came by and met with us (among many other contractors) and we got the best vibe from them. There was no selling; no BS; very straight forward and frank. We trusted our guts and were thrilled that we did. We virtually redid our entire main floor, kitchen and tiny bathroom. The bathroom is so small and was so poorley set up that it even stumped a few designers on how to rejig it. Our lead foreman Grant deliberated on it for a while and came up with an awesome solution; consulting us every step of the way. The craftsmanship of the work is phenomenal. Grant, Mike and Sonny were timely, courteous, professional and a number of our neighbors commented on how friendly and polite they were and that they always seemed to be having a great time at work. Our project was on budget regarding time and money. Honestly, it was like we hired incredibly competent friends to renovate our house. Wouldn't hesitate for a second to hire them again and plan on doing so in another ten years when we save up for a basement overhaul.

We needed a new porch floor for our 100+yr old house (there were largish holes in it from rotten boards), and an additional beam above for porch swings. Bill and his team (Peter and Trudy) were fantastic with a reasonble quote (with options of materials), explaining the different possibilities and clearly breaking down the job into $$ parts. The work was done quickly and well. Some of the joists were rotten when the floor was taken up but not too bad, so the part for the possible undercarriage work was revised to a much lower amount to represent the level of work and materials involved. Some needed masonry patching was revealed when the floor was taken off and the cost for this was minimal. Peter noticed we'd had some tiles come off our roof during the windstorm which hadn't been attended to, and asked if we would like a quote. We agreed and the quote was reasonable. We'd had trouble during the summer getting another company we'd worked with before to come out and look at it. Bill's team (Hector) were there within a couple of days and had the work done in a day and a bit. Just before it started really raining - for which we are grateful. Overall we're very happy with all the work that was done on our house, the porch looks great, we're looking forward to putting up the new hammock swings in the Spring. If we have any more jobs to do around the house (and I know there will be more) we will be calling Bill - he's responsive, honest, reasonably priced, local to us, and all around great to work with.

Last winter, during a big melt, we had water seeping through our foundation on two sides of our house, and, of course, it was a weekend. Not only did Bill come to our home personally within a couple of hours, but he had a crew commence work within a few days. Bill, his foreman Mike, and all the workers were extremely professional, pleasant and hard-working. Since that excellent experience, we have used Fairney for roofing, eaves and other various issues. Top-notch!!

Our constantly leaking bathroom was made whole again by tearing it back to the bones, rebuilding the wall and floor and installing an awesome shower enclosure. Throughout the process Bill's team were on time, worked very hard and always cleaned up. Extremely pleased with the results, price and time. Fairney and Sons have done our roof and waterproofed our basement, the same quality work. Our home is 90 years old, Bill understands the quirks of working on older houses, there's always something.
