We first called Fairney and Sons in April, 2024 regarding a small flood at the front of our basement. Bill arrived very promptly and gave us his verdict on the probable cause. We have had a fair amount of work done to address this issue a few years ago, but were never really satisfied with the company that we used. After some extensive discussion and consultation, we decided to go along with Bill's recommendations. The work was completed within a matter of a few days. The tradesmen were always on time, careful about clean up, polite and friendly. We were more than satisfied and went ahead with plans to renovate our bathroom sometime in November, using Fairney and Sons people. In July we found that we had more water in our basement. But this time at the back of the house, again in an area that had supposedly been sealed by the same, unnamed company that we had the misfortune to use before. We called Bill and he arrived promptly and arranged for work to proceed to solve this new issue. Unfortunately, our wooden deck had to be removed in order for the work to be completed on the back wall. Fairney and Sons came through with an excellent team of tradesmen and build us a lovely new deck as well as finally solving our basement water problems. In August we were faced with another water issue. Our bathroom began leaking water into our kitchen which we had renovated a few years ago at some considerable cost. Needless to say, we called Bill back and asked if he might move our bathroom renovation forward. He rearranged some of his work teams schedules and had a crew in by early October. We worked closely with Adam and Trevor as they guided us through the various stages of the transformation. Plumbers and tilers came by, all when they were scheduled to arrive. The work was completed efficiently and expertly. Everybody that we met that was associated with Fairney and Sons was very professional, respectful and a delight to have in our house. As part of the bathroom renovation, a vent had to be hooked up through our roof. Upon inspection it was pointed out that our chimney was in sore need of repair. We already knew about this and asked if Fairney and Sons could solve that problem as well, which, of course they could and did. This had been a bad summer for us, in terms of household distress. However, we feel very fortunate that we answered that flyer that was dropped in our mailbox all those months ago. Everybody associated with this company is reliable, friendly and professional. We certainly hope that we don't need their services in the future, but if we do, they will get the call. We highly recommend Fairney and Sons Ltd. for all of your home repair needs. When I called Fairney to inquire about waterproofing, I got a call back right away from Bill. He explaied his quote, we went over what I needed to get done and when I decided on them, his teams did an excellent job from start to finish. They answered all my questions and I felt my expectations were met on both the waterproofing and masonry repairs. I would definitely recommend them.

I was extremely impressed with Fairney and Sons. They were hard working, and very respectful of my home and property. They were quick , very clean and ultimately did a great done. Bill explained everything in detail what needed to get done and gave me the best quote. Having them back to do more work on house. Will definitely be referring them to family and friends.

I cant say enough good things about this team! We found them through a flyer in the mail, and Im so glad we did. After working with various contractors in the past, I can honestly say that this team stands out for their excellent craftsmanship and honesty. I dont normally take the time to write reviews like this, but weve had terrible experiences with other companies and finding amazing help should be shared. Bill and his crew are incredibly versatile and know their stuff. We thought we needed a lot more work done than we actually did, but instead of upselling us, they took the time to explain what was truly necessary. That kind of honesty is rare these days, and it really shows how much they care about their clients. Steven, in particular, is one of the kindest souls Ive ever met. He genuinely treats us like family, which made a huge difference in our experience. My husband even calls Bill "Uncle Bill" because they feel like a part of our lives during the process. I was working from home and it was completely hands-off for me. No stress whatsoever. I really really know what theyre doing. Weve had them help with everything from a leaking roof, leaking window, squirrels in the walls, bathroom and kitchen, caulking, drywall, brick, work, uneven floors, and everything between. From fixing leaks to drywalling and everything in between, theyre experts in every inch of your home. If youre looking for reliable help, I highly recommend reaching out to them. Once again we called Bill and his team for another one of our projects. This time it was to demolish a large back shed and replace a 30 year old deck with a smaller version with a side patio. Very happy with the results. Bill is always available for minor hiccups and returns calls immediately.Adam the carpenter was very helpful with advice and attentive to design ideas and changes. The secret bottle opener was a nice touch and has already been put to good use. Will be using Fairney and Sons in the future.

We had our basement completely refinished by Bill and his team. New floor, interior water proofing, sump pump, spray foam insulation, refinished bathroom. And a beautiful new built-in media unit. This is the 4th time we've worked with Fairney & Sons. I'm continually impressed by Bill's attention to detail and the quality of work he and his team provide.

We just had our roof redone and they did a fantastic job. Great communication, fair price, friendly and efficient workers. Will definitely use this company again for future projects!
