We have used Fairney and Son's since we moved into our house in 2010. Every project has come in on-time and on budget. This year we thought we needed to tear down our garage and build it from the ground up, but after bringing Bill in for an estimate he (and his carpenter Mike) came up with a solution that satisfied everything we wanted and came in at a very reasonable price. The job hit some set backs but solutions were presented right away. The craftsmanship displayed was amazing, Mike and Bill are very proud of the work they do. Bill and his team always keep the work site clean, provide daily updates and if issues ever come up they have several back-up options to choose from. Bill has even helped us with advice and pointers for projects he isn't involved in, showing us the proper way to install insulation in a wall for a project we were tackling on our own. We will continue to call Fairney and Son's for any project we do in the future.

From the first inspection visit and the description of the problem and the solution to it (both described verbally and illustrated), to the actual work and clean up, this was a first-class operation. I recommend Bill Fairney and his crew very strongly. I had three estimates done, and Bill's was the most realistic. There were no surprises.

We live in the Beach, we saw Bill's ad in the Beach Metro news, and contacted Bill. He was very responsive, within a week he and his teammate (Grant) had come by and reviewed the work, prepared a quote and started the job a couple of weeks later. It was a very good experience for us. Bill and his teammates Grant & Mike were great, prompt, friendly, high quality work and they had some very good suggestions for our project. We felt very comfortable with them in our home and even left for a week while they were wrapping up the project. Three words I'd use to describe Fairney & Sons and this project: Honest, Professional and Quality. Communicating with any of the guys on the project; Bill or Mike, was straight forward and a pleasure, I was satisfied that my home was in good hands with them. They really know their business, and their craft. They executed the project quickly, efficiently and with great skill and experience. They worked clean, and when appropriate, they were personal and personable. Finally, the icing on the cake, the cost was well within our budget, and a pleasant surprise, considering the extent of the project.

Bill first and foremost is a no BS straight shooter. Something seemingly rare with contractors. His team were very professional and offered creative solutions in addition to an exemplary standard of work. Little details like they made sure my old dog was looked after and kept out of the way while they were working make a difference. Overall a fine crew I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Bill definitely knows his business. He and his crew waterproofed the front of our home, beneath the front porch without disturbing the porch and gardens. He explains every step and makes sure only what needs to be done is done. He and his crew are reliable, punctual and hardworking. His prices are reasonable and there are no surprises. After a "handy-man" made a leak in our garage ten times worse, I saw Bill's truck in the neighbourhood and called him. I wish I had found him sooner. He's reliable, honest and his crew does great work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him in the future.

Finally, we've found a company that is competent, does what they say they're going to do, cleans up, and finishes on time, with a reasonable price. Can't ask for much more than that! I can definitely recommend them and will use them again.

We had a small leak in our foundation and knew we needed someone to look at it before it became a huge problem. Not knowing who to trust, we asked a good friend who had gone through several projects, and he happily referred us to Bill Fairney. He was prompt, professional, knowledgable and really seems passionate about what he's doing. Within minutes of me emailing him, he called us back; and within days he and his crew had come, dug, waterproofed, cemented and left with no trace of having been there which our neighbours appreciated. He was very hands-on; calling us every day to let us know what had been done and what was going to happen the following day. We are happy to recommend him and will use him again on any future projects!
