Great Experience! Tom got back to me promptly when I first contacted him. He allowed me as much time as I needed before to ask questions on what he would do and how he would do it. He arrived on time at the site. He explained in detail what he was going to do on the inspection (he does at least 3 passes through the property). and when it was time called us to join him to go through each item and explain not only what the issue was, but what needed to be done. He not only took regular pictures of everything, but also had an infrared camera that could detect many things including moisture and temperature differences. I also liked the honesty that Tom didn't try to pretend he knew everything about everything...ex-pool related things needed a pool inspector and it wasn't his area of expertise. We had our report in PDF format by the end of day. It had pictures of all the problem areas with arrows pointing to problem areas with explanations on what was wrong and what needed to happen to correct. Based on the strength of this report, we were able to go back to owners and have the price reduced by several thousand dollars.

Everything went as you would expect from a good home inspection. The inspector was very friendly and thorough with his work. The cost was on the pricey side but I thought the service with infrared imaging camera was worth it given the value of the property. Keep up the good work Vahn

Tom was very polite when we first met him, even on the phone. He arrived on time, and he explained how the process works before starting the actual inspection. When doing the inspection, he would go through it section by section and would explain his findings to you before moving on to the next. We are very pleased with the report and the work that he had done and will likely hire him again. The price we paid was well worth the trouble we could have had should we have bought the property without knowing the issues/findings.

Tom went above and beyond when inspecting the home. He was informative, patient and handled all questions knowledgeably. He was so thorough the seller asked for card for when they inspect their new know.

I called Clearview after looking through the reviews on this site, and wasn't disappointed. Tom was excellent on the phone, answering any questions I had and taking the time to explain what the inspection would entail and the rates for it. He was able to fit us in quickly for an inspection on a house we were thinking about buying. We opted to include the infrared camera. When the time came for our inspection, Tom was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain what he was doing and why. The report was received the same day with lots of detail including diagrams and photos. He was clearly more than willing to answer any questions we had. We would definitely use Clearview again.

clearview home inspection was great. the inspector Bob arrived early and as he was inspecting ,he explained in easy but very thorough terms and left us understanding what needed to be done sooner and as well at a later date. i appreciated his professional approach to our potential house and gave us the confidence to make the purchase ,us being fully infprmed. Clearview provided a comprehensive review of my home that goes beyond a traditional home inspection and included an indoor air quality inspection, home maintenance inspection, infrared scan, and water analysis. Tom provided a comprehensive report that included pictures, lab results and recommendations on items that needed my attention. Walking around with Tom while he scanned the walls and ceilings was particularly eye-opening, and he was very accommodating throughout. Tom's final report helped me to prioritize the work and was very useful. Most importantly, it gave me peace of mind that my toddler was not being exposed to mold or lead in our older house.
