It was great working with Tom. He was available on a short notice. Was always very prompt on returning my phone calls. It was our first home inspection and we were a bit overwhelmed. However, Tom was able to see this and was very gentle and patient in his approach to help us understand the issues. The report provided was very comprehensive and I still continue to utilize that knowledge every time we go to view homes. My family and I will definitely ask Tom to assist with future home inspections.

Tom was thorough and professional. He provided a detailed report which included pictures the same evening after he had checked out our house. Now, we will be able to fix a few problems before we put our house on the market in about 2 years. We will able to provide this report for any prospective buyers in the future. The price is very reasonable for the service provided.

We recently had Tom Rando of Clearview Home & Property Inspections complete a home inspection and infrared scan of a home we were thinking of purchasing in the Annex. This is our second time contracting Tom for this service (we previously had him inspect our condo before buying it), and we have been extremely happy both times. Tom arrived early and started by inspecting the outside of the house. Once we arrived, he walked us through how the process was unfold, and he was open to questions and very thorough in his explanations throughout. He completed a very detailed and technical inspection and infrared scan of the house and gave us lots of great advice on how to maintain the home in the future. Tom was able to identify a number of issues that were not mentioned in the pre-sale inspection report provided by the seller, which helped us make a more informed purchasing decision. We did end up buying the property in the end, and will be sure to implement the repairs Tom recommended. In addition to being a great home inspector, Tom is very friendly and a delight to interact with - we couldn't recommend him more highly!

We then received a detailed report the same night. In fact, my real estate agent stayed for the inspection. Her comment was that this was the most detailed inspection she has ever seen. We were looking to buy a 10-year old house and wanted to do a home inspection before we made the firm offer. We found Clearview through an online search and were uncertain at first, but after speaking to Tom on the phone twice, we knew that they were professionals, as well as very friendly. We weren't sure what to expect from a home inspection, but Tom and Clearview felt like the choice in consultation about our situation. Bob was our inspector, he arrived early, he welcomed questions during the walk through, and he explained the inspection recommendations very clearly. We initially believed that the house should be "problem free" and any findings might be a bad thing, but Bob explained the timelines of his recommendations for when certain repairs might take place. We were able to get a sense of not only the current conditions of the house, but it gave us a very clear picture about when to expect certain repair or replacements. The report was sent to us the next day, and it captured the findings most of which were already mentioned during the walk through, but with added information. I'm very satisfied with the quality of service Clearview provided.

Tom from Clearview Home and Property Inspections completed a traditional home inspection for my husband and I who are first time home buyers. Last year we almost purchased a home in Brampton but determined there were problems that we were not prepared to accept. By using the thermal camera, a leak was found from an upstairs tub yet nothing visible could be seen. This detail and care that was taken with the inspection and report impressed me so much that I specifically sought out Tom for our most recent home purchase. Since Holmes Inspections contracted out the work to Clearview, I knew it was worth using a second time. This year, I was able to book Tom the day after we signed the purchase agreement. Again, I made sure the inspection included the thermal camera - it's definitely worth every penny. Of course the home wasn't perfect being over 50yrs old but the only major issue was with the electrical panel. It was truly comforting to have had a few phone calls and emails with Tom to clarify the issue, which turned out to be resolved. The bottom line is that trust in this industry is a challenge because we hear and remember stories about home owners getting burned. Tom's approach to inspections places me at the focal point - it's going to be my house and my risk that I'm taking so being taking the time to answer all of my questions is critical. My experience with Tom twice has been excellent and consistent, thus giving me a sense of trust.

I have chosen Clearview after looking at HomeStar ratings and reading through several comments. Tom has been responding promptly from the beginning through phone calls/ emails. I had to schedule an appointment with Tom before a few months but had to cancel due to the change in purchase plans. Tom accommodated the change in plans gracefully without expressing any disappointments. I called in again for an apartment now for the inspection. The price seemed to little more than normal home inspection quotes, but I would say it's worth it. I was already confident that i have the asked for the right guidance based on homestar ratings. Tom performed the inspection and went through the details in three levels providing detailed explanations. My property of interest was a condo apartment and some of my friends suggested not to waste money in doing an inspection for it as that wouldn't be of big impact when compared to doing inspection for a home. But I wanted to do one, as it's my first property home that i'm buying and I wanted to be sure if nothings wrong. Tom's inspection gave me peace of mind and more confidence in going ahead. In addition to that, I used the results to try a bit of negotiation. Based on the inspection report, I'm planning to do the necessary maintenance work that's needed giving importance to the priority items listed. The thermal imaging helped to make sure there's no water damage and also to check the heater works well (we monitored the temperature and it was good as per the settings). Tom was very friendly and offered to be available for any questions/clarification in future. I'm thankful for Tom's expertise to help me through my purchase. I will highly recommend Tom and Clearview for my friends and family.
