Tom was there on time. Very patiently explained everything. There was a leakage in the basement which he detected and seller agreed to fix. Very happy we are waiting for the result of mould testing cross fingers!!!

Tom was extremely punctual on arrival for the home inspection. He was very thorough and explained everything very clearly and in a detailed fashion. He was very professional, knowledgable and experienced. I would highly recommend him for home inspections.

Tom got back to me promptly when I first contacted him. He allowed me as much time as I needed before to ask questions on what he would do and how he would do it. He arrived on time at the site. He explained in detail what he was going to do on the inspection (he does at least 3 passes through the property). and when it was time called us to join him to go through each item and explain not only what the issue was, but what needed to be done. He not only took regular pictures of everything, but also had an infrared camera that could detect many things including moisture and temperature differences. I also liked the honesty that Tom didn't try to pretend he knew everything about everything...ex-pool related things needed a pool inspector and it wasn't his area of expertise. We had our report in PDF format by the end of day. It had pictures of all the problem areas with arrows pointing to problem areas with explanations on what was wrong and what needed to happen to correct. Also liked that things were prioritized-if something needed immediate addressing then it said so. On the strength of this report, we were able to go back to owners and have the price reduced by several thousand dollars.

We read the reviews on Home Stars about Clearview Home & Property inspections and decided to use their services. We were not disappointed! Tom was very thorough throughout the whole process, taking the time to explain each step, any improvements that needed to be done and how to "fix" it. He really took the time to listen to our concerns and answered all our questions as we decided last minute to have the Extended Plus service completed. Tom was also very supportive as he reassured us that if we had any questions or concerns after the inspection he would be available to address them. We highly recommend this company....and Tom.

Bob from Clearview was awesome with the home inspections he did. Not only did Bob look out for my best interest as a potential home buyer and saved me from buying an unsuitable house, but also gave me his 'seal of approval' so to speak on the house I did buy, and am sooo incredibly happy. Bob's home inspection was not only thorough, but he did not rush the process, he was very patient with me, answered all of my questions, and explained things that should be addressed in my new home and things that I might want to think about doing down the road. He made me feel very knowledgeable about what I was thinking about buying. As a home purchaser, you always have your fingers crossed about the home inspection and hope it goes well, but it was comforting to know that Bob wasn't afraid to point out things that were questionable while reassuring me about things that I did not need to worry over. I have no hesitation in referring Clearview.

From the inquiry phone call to the completion of the inspection, Tom was professional, thorough, and answered all of my questions. He arrived on time on the day of inspection, and explained the process in detail so I would know what to expect. He left ample time for questions, and never made me feel like he was rushing me or the job.

I learned about Clearview Home & Property Inspections through Homestars and decided to invite the company to perform a home inspection after reading the reviews. My house is currently gutted throughout as I am preparing it for a major renovation. I wanted to take this opportunity to capture the current condition of the house with a home inspection report. In the end, I contacted Clearview mainly because of the reviews the company has received from other customers. Now that I've personally had the opportunity to work with Clearview I can say that the company does take the feedback from these reviews seriously and cares about what their customers think. Initially, I had requested a traditional home inspection, but it turned out that my situation didn’t require one and I was given a modified home inspection instead. However, I had paid the full price of the traditional home inspection in advance by draft and my inspector, Bob, took the initiative to inform me that he would talk to Tom about the pricing. Upon reviewing the extent of my home inspection, Tom personally called me to let me know that I had overpaid for the services performed and he voluntarily issued me a cheque refunding me the difference, which I had received within a few business days of the phone call. As for the home inspection experience I found Bob to be very thorough in his explanations as we did a walkthrough of the house together. I’m not particularly knowledgeable about houses so I’m sure I asked Bob a lot of questions that may seem elementary to a professional to which he had the patience and care to answer each one. Overall, I am impressed by the integrity and thoroughness of Clearview and I also like how the home inspection report is detailed with pictures and informative Internet links that supplement the recommendations that are written in plain English. I will definitely invite Clearview to conduct another home inspection once the renovation project is complete. This was my first time working with Clearview and I will say that this experience has established the company's credibility with me.

Normally it's difficult to find quality workmanship and professionals, but not this time. Clearview home and property inspection provided me with a top notch inspection and a high quality report. Bob was very thorough and answered all my questions professionally and in a way that I could understand. I would highly recommend Clearview. Many thanks Bob!
