Tom was friendly, professional and very approachable and willing to answer many questions on the day of the inspection. He recommended to do some things once the spring thaw occurs like extend the downspot further away from the house.

Very well done! We're very happy we chose Tom for my pre-purchase home inspection. Tom was the first person on the scene, and already hard at work inspecting the exterior of the home. He did an excellent job at showing us the problems with the house and was able to explain the significance of each problem. Tom was extremely thorough in his inspection, and found many things I would have never known about. I would highly recommend Tom to anyone looking for a quality home inspection. We added the Infrared scan as well as mold testing and would recommend that anyone buying an older home with a finished basement do the same. Mold was detected in the home Tom inspected. In the end we went ahead with the purchase for several reasons, however it was comforting to know that we made the decision to purchase with more information in our hands.

Heard about Tom through Homestars. The extended service was well worth the extra cash for the peace of mind that the property was in good working condition. especially since buying the property over the winter season, we wanted to make sure there were no hidden cold spots or potential hazards behind the walls that would appear when the ice thaws or if heavy rain ever hits. He was very professional and systematic in how he conducted his inspection. He even addressed and pointed out small issues that others may have found negligible. his report is very comprehensive, complete with pictures that point out areas of concern around the home. we left the inspection with the peace of mind that our investment was not going to waste. would definitely recommend him to any home buyer.

We are very glad we chose Tom from clearview to inspect a home we were intending to buy. The infrared scanner should be mandatory in all inspections, specially for an expansive home. Told us a lot about insulation and no defects in the foundations. Tom was very courteous and explained the whole process a to z and later went through each individual floor/item himself and later with us. That means that he went through everything at least 3 - 4 times first certifying himself and then us. Rest assured we were and are very satisfied and highly highly recommend Tom for anyone thinking of an inspection, as peace of mind is better than saving a few dolors. The best part of the inspection is that now we know before going in that we have to redo some wood/insulate some parts/seal some leaks/redo some vent outlets...etc but no major damage.....and that is just such a peaceful feeling! Tom rules in this department! I am not doing Tom a favour, I think he earned this review by spending so much time a effort!

Tom came out to help us with our first home inspection in Whitby. Tom took the time to analyze and photograph every corner of the home and encouraged me to ask questions throughout the process. Tom's diligence, despite the homeowner being present and somewhat hostile revealed a health and safety concern with vermiculite in the attic and asbestos around the heating ducts. This would have likely been missed by other inspectors, and would have definitely been missed by myself. My experience with Tom was an honest, thorough, highly professional one that I would not hesitate to recommend. I would recommend Tom to anyone looking for a quality and helpful home inspection in the GTA!

Perfect. After reading so many positive reviews on the Homestars, we decided to ask Tom to be our home inspector. He's so enthusiastic with his work and he is very knowledgeable and patient. We put an offer on a house on a Saturday. We then called Tom and he was able to inspect the property the next day...a Sunday. He pointed every deficiency and taught us many maintenance tips. He also made sure we understood what was urgent and what could wait. Last but not least, he was professional, pleasant and personable. We would definitely like to recommend him to anyone who needs a responsible and qualified home inspector.

Tom was very proficient, friendly and down to earth. We were very impressed the first time we met Tom and have decided to use his services for a second time on our 1 Year Tarion inspection but this time with the help of the Infrared camera. He explained everything in detail. I wanted to make sure the inspection was thorough. He was able to tell us the meaning behind the issues and what concerns should be addressed first. He was willing to answer or explain any questions. The report was very comprehensive, easy to understand with pictures, and easy to navigate. I would highly recommend this inspector.

Clearview provided a comprehensive review of my home that goes beyond a traditional home inspection and included an indoor air quality inspection, home maintenance inspection, infrared scan, and water analysis. Tom provided a comprehensive report that included pictures, lab results and recommendations on items that needed my attention. Walking around with Tom while he scanned the walls and ceilings was particularly eye-opening, and he was very accommodating throughout. The final report helped me to prioritize the work and was very useful. Most importantly, it gave me peace of mind that my toddler was not being exposed to mold or lead in our older house. Fabulous! We hired Tom from Clearview to do our home inspection before the purchase of our new home. This is our second older home we’ve purchased, and the difference between Tom and the home inspector I hired for my first home is like night and day. Tom was profession, friendly, and very knowledgable. I was able to follow Tom around the home and he was very detailed in his inspection. He also took his time to answer all my questions and concerns and educated me on the house. Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a high quality inspector.
