    Cedar shake roof replacement

    We have a steep cedar shake roof on a 100+ year old house. We had lots of problems finding a roofing company in Edmonton with know-how and willingness to replace that roof. Long story short, when Reid's estimator came up, he was outstanding, he took lots of pictures, explained the problem and proposed a very reasonable solution. Once the work started, you could see the attention to detail and how experienced the workers were. The results are great, cost was exactly as estimated and the company even sent a prepaid postage envelope for payment. Everything about this company is top notch, Highly recommended!

    Extremely happy

    I received nine quotes to have my shingles replaced. There were three quotes lower than Reid's but only by $50-$150 lower for a $7800.00 + GST roof. Reid's however was the only Owens Corning preferred installer which means that the Warranty I received was a 50 year non pro rated warranty. Having a non preferred installer, installer do the reroof meant that the warranty was cut considerably. Reid's included all of the extras in the quote, steel valleys new vents and turbo vents, drip trays, etc. Although I told them that I was in no rush they scheduled me in within a few weeks. Due to the rain they did not make it on the day that was set but Calvin (owner) kept in contact with me to let me know what was happening. The crew arrived on a hot Thursday morning and worked like crazy for several hours and completed half of the job. They were all very professional and experienced as they all knew what they were doing. When they were done for the day they packed up and left. No garbage or anything was left behind, very clean. I had bought a cooler full of pop and water and had it on ice for them but they did not touch it until day 2. They just worked. When we arrived home after the job was complete. the roof looked great, and again the yard was left spotless. Then a few days later Calvin shows up to inspect the final job which was unexpected but appreciated. I would highly recommend Reid's for your roofing project. Considering the additional warranty you get with the certified installer they were by far the best price and value out of the nine quotes. They are also certified installers for GAF and Malarkey but I wanted to go with the OC Durations after reading numerous reviews.

    Re-Shingling Roof

    We are extremely pleased with Reid's Roofing. Jake did a great job estimating the job and answering our questions. He also provided us with photos of the roof before and after the job which was a nice touch. The crew was excellent, thorough and fast. We went with Malarkey Legacy 50 year shingles so I guess we won't be able to comment on their quality for some time...:-) Cleanup was excellent - we haven't found a single nail! The only small complaint is that we had asked to be notified when the crew was starting the job so that my husband could be there and work from home. However, when my husband didn't receive a call, he called Reid's and was told the crew were on their way or already there. My husband was able to get home and the garage was already half-done which was fine.

    Shingle replacement

    Quality, quick, and efficient job done on our roof. Friendly and informative crew. Reasonable pricing and follow up was unexpected. Great communication prior to job and following completion. We would highly recommend Reids Roofing services to anyone requiring roofing.

    new asphalt shingles and downspouts

    I was very happy with the service provided. I had my roof re-shingled last fall, and it looks good. I was especially happy with the new downspouts--they look and function much better than before. The company was timely and professional. The job was completed when they said it would be, and the clean-up was immaculate. I haven't found a single nail. Before the re-roof, I was getting some water in the basement, but that problem seems to be taken care of as well.

    Roof and eves

    Highly Recommend! They scheduled job when it was convenient for my family and I. I shopped around in the fall of 2016, Calvin was the only company to followed up with me. In the spring of 2017 he followed up again 6 months later. He gave me a better deal in the spring to earn my business. I shopped his price around a second time and nobody else could beat their deal. His professionalism was nice as the other companies just didn't seem to care, I shopped 3 other companies! The installers did a good job and the manager was sent to inspect after job after it was done. The eves installers did a great job and helped my wife with her rain barrel. THX everyone at Reids.     Replacement shingles, soffits, fascia and eaves

    Reid's Roofing wasn't the cheapest of the quotes I got but they had the Malarkey shingles I wanted and their rating was the best. Having dealt with terrible contractors in the past I wanted to be very picky about who I hired to do this work. I'm happy to report that not only done my roof look beautiful, two years later there hasn't been a single issue with the work they did. Now I'm going to get them to do all the exterior insulation... and feel comfortable because I trust their work.

    Roofing on war time bungalow.

    Reid's was one of three companies I had come out to give me an estimate on my roof (war-time bungalow). Of the three, Reid's was the most expensive, though there was only a $400 difference between most and least expensive, and there were good reasons for the difference: Reid's estimate offered exact $/ sqft for common issues (extra layers, roof deck repairs) as well as replacing and/or re-flashing all of the roof accessories (whirly-birds, vent stacks, etc.). The other companies simply stated that there may be extras. The only reason they didn't get a ten is that they ran short of shingles to finish the rear porch (~100 sq ft), so the job took an extra day. The lead worker let me know as soon as he was aware, so the problem was handled appropriately. The work was done late last fall, and I waited until now to review so I could see how the new roof did over the winter - great!

    Shingle & Vent Replacement

    My house roof desparately needed to be refurbished. After receiving quotes from a variety of contractors, I decided to sign the contract with Reid's Roofing. Although initially Reid's quote was not the lowest, Jake, their estimator, worked to match the lowest price thus allowing me to support a local business. Throughout my entire dealing with Reid's, I found all personnel to be professional, courteous, and willing to deal with all my questions and concerns. If you're looking to have your roof replaced, Reid's is definitely the company for the job!

    New shingles and eavestrough

    It is so refreshing to find someone to tell you the truth without a hard sales pitch. I Wanted to know what shingle is the best bang for your buck. Without any hesitation, I was given and answer. Then I was given a explanation why. The crew that installed my shingles, were fantastic. It was like they were never there. All litter was picked up, and driveway and deck was swept clean.
