    Washing Machine Repair

I would not trust this business. They charged me $316.40 to come to my house and tell me what was wrong with my washer (they do this in a sneaky way by saying that the house call is $80, within 5 minutes of being there the technician said that I would have to pay him another 200 to tell me what was wrong with my washer). They then said I had to pay then $420 + tax for the part. They said that the labour would be covered in the $280. I ordered the part myself for $167 including all taxes. After which they said that they wouldn't install the part or refund me any of the $280. Now I have to pay someone to actually fix my washer.

    Repair to Fridgidaire washer

I called for repair to my washer. Ramon the technician came within the time indicated that he would arrive. He was very professional. He responded to my questions patiently as he explained the process to repair. He diagnosed the problem early and told me the approximate cost up front so I was prepared for the bill. It turned out he was correct in his diagnosis, the pump was clogged with an article of clothing and other items. After he finished he cleaned up the area and this impressed me the most. He also gave a helpful suggestion to prevent a reoccurrence of this situation.

    service on washing machine

This was the WORST service I have ever received. A technician came to our house and claimed to have fixed our washing machine. We paid for the service without any warning that the repair was not complete or would not last. After the first load of laundry, water pooled on the floor. After the second, the machine was not working at all. Service4Appliance REFUSED to return to our house unless we paid full price again and they insisted they had fixed the machine. The woman we spoke with at customer service was rude and argumentative and beyond unhelpful. She would only refer to the report from the technician which said the machine was fixed. She also refused to allow me to speak with a manager and would not provide contact information for anyone else in the company. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE EVER. You are better off buying a new washer.

    Washing machine - blocked drain

Uri came to our home in Oakville on time on a Saturday. He was very pleasant and professional - gave us the price before proceeding. Fixed the problem and explained exactly what he was doing.

    Refrigerator service

Our fridge went on us this past Sunday. I connected with Service4Appliances and made an appointment for Monday. Bottom line, it took multiple calls and two service technicians to spend time on the fridge to tell me that everything works but the system requires recharging. With the second one, i was very specific to make sure that whoever shows up must be prepared to recharge with R134A. He showed unequiped. The communication between techs and their customer service is pathetic. The first tech miss-represented the visit in his report as per what the customer service read back to me. One week later and I still had no functioning fridge. This was the second time I used this company and has a hard time the first time but the second tech (yes...it took two visits even then) was amazing. The company is pretty unprofessional. Total waist of time and I will never use them again. Joe.

    Whirlpool Duet Dryer Repair

Uri was the service technician and he was certainly knowledgeable and straightforward in answering all my questions. However, I found the charge of $285.00 plus tax ($305.00 Total) to be a surprise since nothing of this was mentioned on the phone when I booked the appointment. $305 seems very steep for what amounted to an hour's work and did not involve any parts. Is that the going rate now-a-days?

    Fridge repair

I had the almost exactly the same bad experience as many reviewers below. $285 charge and the unit is still broken. Only AFTER this happened did I find that they have an F rating with the BBB. If they are willing to fix the problem, I'll change my review. Until then, a 1/10 since the technician arrived on time and was friendly.

Jenn-Air fridge was leaking from the freezer area

Shai seemed to be very knowledgeable and stopped to explain what he was doing frequently. There was a mess with the water, but he made sure it was cleaned up before he left. After he was finished, he suggested how I could ensure this doesn't happen in the future. If I ever have problems with my appliances, I hope the manager send Shai again. Really great service (everything done within 24 hours). He was here right on time and he did an awesome job.

    repair

Our technician's name is Michael. He arrived promptly and explained to us what the problem with our Maytag dryer was. (Something wrong with the belt.) He opened the machine up and explained to us that the part holding up the belt had come loose and the belt had been torn. He also told us the full price of the repair. He worked quickly and made the repair.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Dan, we always work this way, full pricing is advised before the tech does anything. Most customers love this! Glad you did too. Cheers, Service4Appliances

    dishwasher repair

Had the same experience as the previous person. Not sure what you get for $80 other than the repair guy walking in the door. I was told it was $240 for labour and the part would be about $40 if it was the pump. He could not fix the appliance and then it was $315 with tax for labour. It needed a new pump which I told him when he arrived. He called the next day (after two follow up calls from me) to let me know that the part was $415. The labour was already paid for under the $315. Of course he would make the part to expensive so he wouldn't have to come. I would not recommend this company. They should tell you the labour cost when you phone not the $80 to walk in the door. I had someone else come in the next day, charge me $60. and fix it on the spot.
