    Dishwasher repair

I called on a Friday and Mike the technician promptly showed up mid day Saturday. He rapidly diagnosed the problem and the part was ordered. As soon as the part arrived, the company called. Mike showed up exactly on time the following day, installed the part and the dishwasher was up and running. Mike was courteous and careful so that nothing was damaged when pulling the dishwasher out and sliding it back in. Couldn't ask for better service.

    KitchenAid Oven Repair

Our oven would stop once it had reached 300 degrees F, giving error codes and making clicking noises (the door lock mechanism). I found Service4Appliances on the internet serviced my area, so I called to have a service tech come. The service Tech arrived the next day within the appointed window, and polite and friendly fellow named Shai. He confirmed the problem, and after I agreed to pay for a service repair call (which I thought he was there for already), plus parts (if any) he proceeded to fix the problem. He could not tell me before if he would need parts. I found this disconcerting since the cost of the serice repair was already quite pricy and the part potentially needed was the main control board (very pricy). This was important for me to decide if I should agree to the repair attempt or if I shoud buy another range. I took a risk and proceeded. Shai fixed the problem (burnt wires from using the oven self-clean), and advised never to use the self-clean (on any oven) again. That was a Friday. Next day (Saturday) the same problem / error codes and clicking occurred. I was annoyed, and called the company (7/24 service phone # per their website), but all I got was a recorded message that the company was closed for the weekend. I'm not impressed. I left a message to have them return, and am awaiting what Monday brings. So Monday has come and by 9:45AM no call back from them. I called and asked them to send a tech back to fix the problem he did not fix the 1st time. They said No Warranty on labour and it would cost me another service call (the 1st one was $280 plus tax = $316). Needless to say I am in dispute with them through my Credit Card company. In the meantime I called the service # on my range guidebook and they are coming (at a far less charge for the call). So, DO NOT USE "SERVICE4APPLIANCES". March 31, 2013 footnote. My Credit Card company advised me that for them to pursue and get my money back they needed the detailed invoice from the repair company which outlined the work to be done (and then of course wasn't successful to fi the problem). Guess what? All I have from Service4Appliances in a receipt saying I paid them $316.40 for "Stove service". Shame on me for being so naive. I'm out $316.40. SO BEWARE OF SERVICE COMPANIES LIKE THIS. GET A DETAILED INVOICE FROM THEM AND MANKE SURE WHAT THEY SAID THEY FIXED ACTUALLY WORKS AFTER 1 DAY.

    Oven not heating

Our oven was not heating - it just stopped working. One of the elements/fuses broke. It was as a result of wear and tear. The man who came to fix our oven was very helpful and explained everything that he did. He was very courteous and did not go ahead with anything unless he received my approval. He was very efficient.

    Refridgerator repair

I requested Service4appliances online for a repair to my fridge afterhours. Within 30 minites I received a phone call from a call centre stating that the repair company will be in contact with me at my preferred number first thing in the morning...and that is what happened. Friendly, honest repairman was at my home in the afternoon with a diagnosis and ordered a failed fan motor and returned the next day to complete repair. Excellent service and a real time saver!

Making an appointment was easy. He arrived on time, was respectful and efficient. He cleaned up at the end of the job. His name was Mike and I found the whole experience to be most unusal! It went without a hitch and I cannot hear my dryer when it is on now. Thank you.

    dryer machine

My experience with the company was to say the least, brutal. I would never recommend them to anyone, not even my enemy, this is why. We had the technician come into our home, after the diagnostic, which was a bad bearing, we were fine with paying the $280 and moving along. We would have used our local handy man to do the repairs and purchase the parts. But we were told that we were unable to do that because we agreed to the diagnostic, we had somehow condemned ourselves to the overpriced parts of $160.00+. Our price that we had to pay prior to the installing of anything was $480.00 with an additional $80.00 for the remainder. Here's the real kicker though, its been 7 business days, and guess what folks? The dryer is still damaged, nothing is fixed, no one even had the decency to call and inform us on the status of our overpriced parts. I called earlier this morning, to be greeted by an unhelpful, resistant customer service rep, who could only tell me that our part was on backorder, and "wouldn't be able to tell you how much longer this would take". The audacity, of this company, never again. However, I only blame myself for not doing my homework, because if I had, I would have noticed that 'hidden fees' were no surprise. EXPLORE YOUR OPTIONS PEOPLE! Now I'm stuck doing my laundry at a Laundromat with my sick 14 month old daughter who cannot stop vomiting on her belongings, hence her getting worse because I'm having to take her in and out of the house to check the laundromat which is a 15 minute drive from my house. SO DISGUSTED! *take heed*.
