    Oven latch repair

    After having been ripped off by another company (who charged me $300 and didn't even fix the problem), it was great to deal with a reputable company. My faith in the profession has been renewed. Kevin was prompt, courteous and fixed my oven latch within 10 minutes. He gave me options and was completely honest with me. Though I hope to have no more problems with appliances, if I ever do, I would not hesitate to call North Durham Appliance again.

    Dishwasher Repair

    I requested North Durham Appliance to come and look at my old KitchenAid Dishwasher as it sounded like it needed to be replaced. Technician came over within 24 hours of my call, had the part in their truck and was able to complete the repairs on the spot. Wow that was awesome service I never thought I could have received.

    Maytag fridge repair

    Problem was diagnosed over the phone prior to visit and repair was made. Employee took extra care not to damage floor and explained why fridge was leaking. Prompt service. Made the call and one day later the problem was fixed. Great customer service.

    KitchenAid built in Micowave/Oven

    The door of our microwave would not stay closed. The unit is a one piece built-in oven/microwave which would cost approximately $4,000 to replace and the unit was under 8 years old. Even thought the unit was purchased from Sears, they no longer would work on the units. I called several appliance repair shops and only one would come out and look at it, the others said they would not work on this type of applaince. The one that did come, came three separate times and in the end was not able to fix it. We were referred to Joe at North Durham Appliance and he was able to diagnose the problem quickly and repaired the unit without us having to purchase any parts. Needless to say, we are extremely pleased to have our unit working again. I would nightly recommend North Durham Appliance. They are fast, courteous, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. Thanks Joe!

    Dryer repair

    Joe was excellent. Arrived on time, was very professional, knowledgeable and curtious. Very happy with the price and the work performed. I would definitely recommend North Durham Appliance to anyone. I will definitely be using them again.

    Oven repair

    I called North Durham Appliance in hopes of finding a technician able to fix my built-in Frigidaire oven. Joe was able to diagnose the issue quickly and we ordered a part. After the part arrived, Joe returned, installed the new component and everything is working as it should. I found Joe to be very polite, respectful of my time and dependable. I would not hesitate to recommend North Durham Appliance to friends and family.

    maytag gas stove

    Service was fast and efficient. Basically after explaining my issue over the phone  Kevin arrived with required part and had the oven up and running in no time.  Very pleased with the service I received. Above all its very reassuring to know  I have a company I can trust and rely on for all my appliance issues in the future. This as the saying goes " Is Priceless"

    Oven repair

    Had to have an oven repaired in a timely fashion. The part had to be ordered (as was the case with 4 different companies I called). As soon as the part was received by North Durham Appliance, they came out the same day and fixed the oven. Quick and professional service. Reasonable price. Thank you.

    Stove Handle Repair

    Update Oct 2014: Joe, another co-owner, has made this right for us! He contacted us, apologized and ordered a new stove top for us with the agreement that we would split the cost. It was installed today and I was pleasantly surprised to see that Joe was the same guy who had serviced our dishwasher earlier. As it was with his initial service call, this was a great experience and he managed to totally change our view of the company. If there's a takeaway it's when phoning North Durham Appliances.. ask for Joe! :) He really is a great guy. Thanks again Joe. Much appreciated! Initial Review Aug 204: This company came in to fix a handle on my stove. The serviceman assigned was Kevin. Within 5 mins of arriving he lifted the glass top of the stove and broke it. Upon reacting to the fact that our stovetop was broken, Kevin proceeded to rudely declare that it was our fault because it had a chip. While I fully understand that a pre-existing chip could lead to additional damage I have two major issues with this incident: - Kevin's response and poor attitude; - The manner in which the incident unfolded. At a minimum I would have expected Kevin to notify us of the possibility of the glass breaking before lifting it and discuss with us the potential costs and time to replace. Doing this would have provided us with the opportunity to assess the risks and determine whether it was worth it. I later reported this incident to the Jenn Air service centre who followed up and was told that the technician reported that he had informed us of the risks. So we are now caught in a situation of he-said-she-said. This incident has left a very poor taste in my mouth. We had previously used another technician from this company to fix a dishwasher, two weeks earlier. That technician was professional and courteous. Unfortunately I don't recall his name. Needless to say my view of this company is permanently tainted.

    Dishwasher

    my dishwasher hasn't worked or drained in 8 months. Back and forth with sears repair got me no where. On call to north durham appliance and they were able to work around times that worked for me. Kevin was professional courteous and informative. He took the time to explain what was wrong. He also didn't try to sell me parts or tell me I needed a new dishwasher as I had been instructed before. The dishwasher is only 5 years I was so pleased to have it fixed and quickly. The charge was fair and most the repair was done in the consult session which saved me money. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs an appliance repair.
