    Excellent service, response and execution even during holidays

    Washer gasket failed during xmas. Emailed this company based on its reviews on Homestars and was not dissappointed. They called on monday ( technically boxing day) confirmed the issue and by end of day Tuesday the part was ordered and installed. They gave the estimate on the phone which was nice to know up front and service tech was prompt and courteous. I will use them for all future needs...still waiting 4 days after contacting Sears appliance repair... Good old fashioned service at North Durham, keep up the great work.

    Whirlpool

    EXCELLENT in everyway. I can't thank the office staff enough for going the extra mile when my attempts at dealing with Whirlpool initially came to a halt. Kerri was responsive to my concerns, & detailed in keeping me informed as how things were going to be resolved. The service technician was prompt, pleasant and explained all aspects of the repair to me prior to starting the job and then when he was finished. I would not hesitate to call upon them again or recommend them to anyone for service Thank you

    Fixing a fridge

    I had purchased an older model Kitchenaide refrigerator, the person I purchased it from was moving out of Provence. After having it for a week it started acting up. North Star came with in the hour and fixed the problem. Very honest, reliable and reasonably priced.

    Appliance repair

    Our clothes dryer was overheating, we contacted North Durham Appliance. We explained our situation with the appliance and the previous contractor we had. They were very understanding to our situation. They arrived on time, there diagnoses was bang on, and we have not had any problems since.

    Gas Oven Repair

    Our gas oven was not heating up properly and it was taking a longer time to cook food so I called North Durham Appliance after finding it on Home Stars. I spoke with Kevin on the phone and he was able to come a couple of days after calling. I gave him the model of the stove over the phone so he came with parts in tow. He diagnosed the problem quickly and went to work replacing the igniter. Cost was reasonable and Kevin showed up when he said he was. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

    Oven shelf repair

    A few days ago, I received an advice letter from Whirlpool about a situation in my built-in oven that needed urgent attention. I called Whirlpool, who set up a timely appointment with North Durham Appliance. The repair person, Aaron, was timely, courteous, and professional. He called 30 minutes prior to arriving to pinpoint his exact time of arrival. Plus, he got the item tested, fixed and tested again to ensure its safety in future use. I will use this company again for any repairs of my household appliances. Thank you, Aaron.

    Whirlpool Fridge Repair

    Just moved into a new home and found out that my fridge was leaking. Looked into the problem and found out it was a common problem with Whirlpool fridges. Had North Durham Appliance come out in less than two days and fixed it on the spot. They were aware of the problem and knew how to fix it right away. Technicians were knowledgeable, courteous and respectful. Would recommend North Durham to anyone!!

    Washing Machine

    Smart, polite service over the phone and once Lucas showed up we were in great hands..explained what he was doing, looked for cause, not fastest, most expensive repair, within 30 minutes found problem, fixed, cleaned up area and all within budget!. Would highly recommend to family and friends..

    Dishwasher repair

    I required help twice in the last two years for dishwaasher related problems. Chris is polite, pleasant and quickly fixed the problem. he also proactively fixed 'a noise' that seemed to be the result of the earlier problem. Would call him again if there was a problem.

    Oven door

    Once again a great experience with this company. Somehow I managed to pull my oven door off on one side. No amount of trying would get it back on. Called North Durham Appliance and once again they were wonderful. Kevin fitted me in between appointments and fixed the problem. It was no easy task. He assured me even those experienced have difficulty with these hinges. As said in my last review, it's nice to have a company like Durham Appliance that I know I can count on.
