    Tree Removal

    I am extremely pleased with the work that was done by Monkey Tree Services. I wanted a cedar tree cut down and the stump removed. The work was started on time. The crew was polite and friendly and always operated in a work safe manner. They did a good job of cleaning up. I feel that I got good value for the money spent.

    Tree removal, stump/root grind

    Highly recommended as their most important consideration is that you are satisfied with the work that is done. Very professional, conscientious, good guys to deal with. Never pressured me once and I'd use them again for sure.

    Tree Removal

    I did a Google search and found them online. They took down a sixty foot sequoia tree for me and ground down the stump. They were very professional, friendly, on time, and I was very pleased with them.

    Cut down a tree

    One of the houses that we purchased in Vancouver had an assessment done by them and that's how I got to know them initially. Most recently they cut down a big tree for us. I keep using them because their prices are reasonable and if I think it's too high then he adjusts it for me. My only complaint is that he's sometimes hard to get ahold of. So overall I'd give him a 9 but because he's difficult to get ahold of I drop it down to an 8.

    Tree removal and replacement

    They removed an infested and dying tree and they replaced it with another one. I found them great- easy to deal with, took care of all of our needs in regards to city permitting, communication was really clear and actual team that was here executing were totally easy to deal with.The only thing that I would recommend is to have in the final package a little more information about care instructions for the new tree (they told us verbally to give us water but nothing was written). I had to Google other information afterwards about the tree. Otherwise they were seamless. I'd give them a 9.5 out of 10.

    ongoing construction and maintenance work

    We’re a landscaping company and we do construction and maintenance. For the maintenance we only do pruning up to 15 feet and Monkey Tree do the higher stuff that we don’t do. For the construction side they do the large tree removals for us as well as other work. I found them through another landscaping company and they're really nice guys. They’re reliable and have better pricing than anyone else we’ve ever used. They’ve always been quite good.

    Several projects

    What did Monkey Tree do for me? The biggest thing was a cedar that had forked into 4 trunks from the ground, that were about 13 inches in diameter each, that we had them take out. This was their third job on this site over the years. The work on the big cedar went well. Then they did some other pruning where there were breakdowns in communication between crew members but generally everything has been good. Initially I wanted quiet workmen who would be sensitive to my site, not big loud chainsaws. They were very sensitive to my garden, which is very personal, and they repeatedly asked, "is this what you meant?" and they offered feedback when they thought something should be done differently than I did. We had intelligent conversations about my garden too. The only problems I had was that notes taken regarding the estimate weren't passed along and some branches got cut off that I hadn't wanted off. I would give them an 8 on the latest project, whereas before I would have given them a 9 or 10.

    Maple tree removal

    Fantastic job. I am always leary after having been burned before and spending 3 years in small claims court but Seth has given me faith. He did the estimate and did the job when and as promised without a dime in advance. The site was left spotless . Thank you for restoring my trust. I will use him for every project in the future!

    Tree and shrub removal

    I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received from MTS. Seth was prompt with a quote after my inquiry. They scheduled our project within a week, arrived when they said they would, and the final price was what they quoted. They even obtained the required permit on my behalf. This is a friendly and effective service - a rare thing these days. I wish them all success in the future.

    Cutting down a 60 foot Chestnut Tree

    We were looking for a company to cut down a very large Chestnut tree that belonged to a neighbour. After years of discussion with our neighbour and the damage that it was doing to our property and our drainage pipes we came to an agreement. I immediately called Seth at Monkey Tree Services and he came out the next day to speak to me and my neighbour. He gave us a quote, explained clearly how he was going to do this safely, and told us that it would take approx. 2 days. He made us feel safe and without a doubt was professional, experienced and fully in control of his machinery and his crew. Monkey Tree Services was one of the best companies I have ever used and would recommend them in a heartbeat.
