Vitaliy and his crew did a great job of digging up (12+ft down) and replacing our main drain as it was clay and had about 45 ft choked out solid with roots. They dug down deeper on my request in anticipation of our upcoming underpinning of the house and even TUNNELED underground under our porch to save it and make the connection! Very difficult work! They put in a cleanout and backwater valve on the exterior which is amazing to not have it in the basement floor. Very happy and will use them again in the future for this and other projects. We had an ancient clay pipe burst under our front porch, causing a sewer backup in our basement. Master Drain and Water Works were here the same day, dug out under the porch, replaced the pipe and backfilled the digging all within the same day! Not only that, but they noticed key and crucial other plumbing defects (old cast iron fixtures and poorly plumbed connections) within the rest of the basement that they were able to quickly, efficiently, and masterfully expose (which involved breaking up concrete floors), fix, and replace the concrete, within a matter of two days. And this was all during the Covid-19 pandemic. Their team was exceptionally clean, courteous, efficient, respectful of sical distancing, and the foreman Vitaliy was consistently checking in the them and with us to ensure that we were both informed on the state of work that needed to be done, our options for moving forward, the costs, and timeline. I do not hesitate in giving this company a full five stars and would recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing and water services!

Had a crack in our main stack and Vitaliy was able to send someone out within the hour. Got us back up and In working shape within 2 hours of our call. Great service and would gladly recommend.

Thank you to Vitaly and your team! Worked very fast and efficiently to replace the private side of the water supply from 1/2" to 1". Vitaly was very knowledgeable in the upgrade process. Worked carefully around a gas line and knew the precise spot for property line for when he was not permitted to dig further. Initially this was a problem for me (I was stuck with a 1/2" supply from the city connected to my 1" private side) but going by his recommendations I contacted the city and was able to get them to upgrade their side of the water supply to 1" all the way to the water main for no cost. Saved me thousands (around $7000)! The price Vitaly gave me was also reasonable. Overall a very happy customer. 2 thumbs up!

Had a sewer backup coming from our basement washroom drain. Put a request on HomeStars for help and received a call back from Vitaliy within 20 minutes. He dispatched Walter to come out to inspect the problem. Walter used his camera scope from the basement drain and fed it as far as it could go. He then went outside to our front yard and used his radar machine to see approximately how far the camera was able to go. He explained that we had a collapsed pipe and would need to do an excavation to remove it and install new pipes. He called back to Vitaliy and we did a conference call on speaker phone to discuss the issue and pricing. I asked if snaking the drain (cheaper option) could be done instead of an excavation. Vitaliy and Walter were both doubtful but still agreed that they could attempt it. If unsuccessful, they were willing to credit the amount back from the excavation and pipe replacement job. For our peace of mind, Walter worked vigorously to try to clear the blockage with his drain snake. But as he had already presumed from his experience and expertise, it was inevitably determined that it was a collapsed pipe that needed replacement. So we asked how soon they could come back to do the excavation and pipe replacement. Vitaliy re-assured us that even though he was booked up for the coming days, since it was an urgent issue and didn’t want us to experience any further sewage back-ups, he would make a call to reschedule a less urgent appointment that was pending for the next day so he could give us that spot. Within 30 minutes, he called back to confirm that we could go ahead for the next day. The next day, Walter and another colleague arrived and got straight to work with digging. They checked in with us to let us know when to refrain from using water, etc. They were done after a few hours and made sure that the problem was properly resolved by asking us to run high volumes of water to see if there would be any further back-up. Fortunately the problem was resolved! And I was given peace of mind with a 25 year guarantee on this service. I will definitely turn to Master Drain & Water Works again if any future plumbing issues arise around the house. Thank you Vitaliy and Walter.

The work was completed both professionally and promptly. Although the ground was frozen, the workers were careful to jack-hammer rocks slabs carefully to keep them intact and dug quickly to survey the situation. The workers were very careful with laying overlapping cloths through the house and to the basement to avoid tracking in sand/dirt while working. The work was completed in one day which was great because there was a massive snow storm the following day. I would recommend this company and use their services again.

Vitaly and his crew did a great job. I have a 90 year old house midtown Toronto and I am lowering the basement of my house. I needed to figure out how low the drain can go. Vitaly gave me a good overview of what is involved and the cost estimates were fair. I also wanted to upgrade the water supply from half inch to 3/4 inches and Vitaly gave a decent discount for doing both jobs together . Both jobs were done in 3 days and I got enough depth from lowered drain. The crew was very professional and polite and took great care in making sure the site was clean and the adjoining neighbour’s driveway didn’t get any debris from all that digging on front lawn. Overall very happy with the job.. no complaints! :)
