Very happy with Mike's work; he returns your phone calls and shows up on time. He takes the time to listen to your design ideas & concerns and will add ideas of his own in order to better the project; it was a total team effort. Top notch concrete work, very old school finish that you don’t see nowadays. We will definitely use him again when needed.

Mike poured a new concrete for the floor in my garage, the pad in front of the garage and the sidewalks around my house. My confidence in him was amply rewarded. The “contract” amounted to price on the back of one of his business cards. He performed the work to the specifications I would have written in detail myself if I had taken the time. He did not compromise and I am very satisfied with his work.

Mike and his team did a great job; they are really nice, cleaned up each day, explained everything, etc. To be honest, I really wouldn't know how to judge masonry work, but our neighbour, who is an engineer and he teaches home inspection was really impressed. He asked for Mike's name. That says it all.

Great Work - after talking to several contractors who provided exorbitant quotes or never bothered gettting back to us with a quote, we found Mike. He got us a quote in a day, clearly explained the work he would do for us and his price was very reasonable. More importantly, he seemed very conscientious and our sidewalk looks great.

Mine was a small job but I was looking forward to fast, well done work. It was neither. They started a week late and then only one man turned up to start. A job that was to be '2-3 days' took all week and I had to clean up coffee cups, newspapers and water bottles after. My basement door no longer closes properly and nothing was offered when I complained about it. I felt like an afterthought and that a more substantial job would have had their full attention.

Recent heavy rains revealed a problem with water seeping into our basement. We watched the progress of Michael Scott's crew waterproofing a nearby house. The job looked well done and was completed in a short time. We hadn't planned on doing major work this summer, but when our neighbor confirmed he was satisfied with the company, we decided to talk to Mike, He came right away and gave us a quick and accurate estimate for waterproofing the side and the rear of the house. The crew were polite and respectful of us and our neighbors. They started the job promptly and finished in a timely manner. The timeliness and respect matter because waterproofing is a big job with deep trenches and large piles of dirt to deal with, affecting your neighbors as well as you. The experience was less stressful than I feared because Michael Scott returns your calls, addresses your concerns, and gets the job done without random delays. We had no seepage during the last heavy rain, so ...so far so good. We still have a rotten post that needs to be dealt with, but I am sure Mike will take care of it soon or when we hire his crew to do the concrete work for us in the fall.

Excellent. Mike inspires confidence and then follows through with high-quality work. He and his crew worked quickly, cleanly, all was done to my total satisfaction (and that of my experienced general contractor), and they didn't leave a mess. The mess in the pictures is from the other work that's going on! Mike was not the first quote I got from a company on Homestars. I would recommend calling him prior to signing up with one of the larger companies employing professional salespeople - the price difference was quite significant. I felt like the other guys were HUGELY overpriced, when Mike talked me through what the actual costs were. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat, I wish I'd met him five years ago.

Nothing is better than a recommendation of workmanship. Except when that recommendation proves to be outstanding. My wife and I are very pleased with all handling of this significant job to our 100 year old home. g.gray

Mike was quick to return my initial call and flexible on coming out to quote the job. We set a start and finish date and Mike did the job on time and within the budget. No problems, no excuses, no drama. It looked great when it was done, too. One of the easiest projects I've managed.

Parging on the side of the house, caulking the side walkway to prevent water getting to the basement and rebuilding loose bricks on the front porch column. very well mannered, hardworking, excellent quality and all done quickly - and they even came back the next day (after being paid in full) to add more caulking at our request!
