Mike completed the breezeway floor between our garage and drive shed. He repaired a downspout drain, constructed the formwork, placed the reinforcing steel, ordered, placed and finished the concrete floor and constructed short walls to tie in into the existing structures. As a retired structural engineer, I have a good knowledge of how concrete work should be done, and Mike did everything right.

This is the second time we have contracted Mike to work on our property. Mike broke up, removed and disposed of the existing concrete driveway (about 75 feet long), then graded the base to account for a two-way slope. He and his team poured concrete and finished the surface in one day’s work, carefully working around sewer clean outs, new masonry and an old oak tree. The next day, he did all the scoring and sealing as needed. With all his own equipment, everything Mike does is done efficiently with minimal disruption. He and his crew are always cheerful and polite, and we would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who desires top- notch skills delivered on time and on budget. he is completely reliable on timing and cleanup. I'll be honest, I don't know much about parging, and would be hard pressed to tell a good job from a bad job. But our neighbour is an engineer who runs a company that teaches home inspection. The first time Mike did the parging our neighbour was super impressed and so years later we hired him again. Aside from a terrific parging job, Mike comes when he says he'll come, finishes when he says he'll finish (weather permitting of course) and is a nice, trustworthy person. We'll hire him again unhesitatingly.

Mike did a fantastic job pouring and finishing a new garage slab and part of a shared driveway. His skill was clearly evident and even our snow removal contractor commented on the quality of the finish on the driveway and he should know as he see many drives! Mike is extremelly professional, knowledgeable, hardworking and personable and I wouldn't hestiate in recommending him to anyone requiring concrete work.

Mike and his team were part of a double garage renovation. They laid a new garage floor on one side and then poured and finished a large apron in front of both garages. Mike and his crew were exemplary. Their skill and dedication to high quality workmanship were evident throughout. The apron was completely hand finished to be both decorative and functional. The crew was punctual, friendly, polite and neat. Highly recommended.

I found Mike on HomeStars to re-do a shared alley between my house and my neighbours. The old concrete had to come out and be replaced with about 26 x 4 feet of concrete and reinforcing grid. His price was good and the work was done very professionally by Mike and his crew, with great results. They were on time, removed all debris, worked efficiently, completed the job to specs, and Mike and his crew are all nice guys. I would definitely recommend MScott Home Improvements, but you have to be patient because Mike is busy and does a lot of the finishing work himself. Unlike bigger outfits that have a sales or front office team (that you're paying for) Mike's on the job and also handles the contracting. He may take a little while to get back to you, but it's worth it.
