    Spiral Staircase - 40 years old ... looking better than ever

    I purchased a home in Pickering that is about 40 years old. Love the bones but my goodness did it need a refresh! The spiral staircase in particular was loose, super noisy/squeeky on each step, and a DIY paint job made it impossible to live with. I came across Ideal Stairs in Scarborough and decided to visit their showroom. After some back and forth, I decided to go ahead with them. WOW! The transformation is overwhelming! It looks amazing, very sturdy and secure, not a single squeak! I truly cannot put into words how lovely my staircase is now! I would highly recommend this company. The two young owners were a joy to work with and I feel so fortunate I found them! If you need new stairs, please connect with IDEAL STAIRS! PS - minor trim work will be finished by my carpenter!     Stairs and Flooring

    This was a project with tight timelines and Ideal Stairs delivered. We changed carpet to hardwood floors, refreshed the stair treads with a sand/stain, changed the railing height and replaced the posts. Mesh and Rajan were a pleasure to deal with; Mesh handled the initial conversation when I was looking for a quote and they showed a lot of flexibility (including working with photos to give a rough estimate). Rajan followed up every day his trades were working for us, once in the morning and once at the end of the day. The first day I had minor feedback about the flooring people, Rajan graciously accepted the comments and took care of the problem. Ideal Stairs was also accommodating to changes in an already compressed timeline as I had to coordinate with other work happening in the house. I am very happy with the work and will readily recommended Ideal Stairs

    Stairs and Flooring

    Ideal Stairs exceeded our expectations from the get go. Rajan was excellent to deal with, considering the amount of work that got done in my house, he made it easier for us to live while construction was happening.     Two new railings, upgrade stair railing to code height, and more

    Loved working with these guys. They had great suggestions and lots of patience since work had to be done over a long period of time, final work looked exactly the way we wanted and they arrived when arranged! I would hire these guys again!

    Recent Project

    We recently had our two storey staircase worked on by Ideal Stairs. We replaced 60 wooden balusters with wrought iron, along with the replacement of 5 posts to match existing wood, and they refinished the handrail and all matches perfectly. This is inherently messy work, with sawing out old balusters and posts, drilling for new, and staining/sealing, but the two gentlemen left our house as clean as could be expected and did a great job with respect to workmanship. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ideal Stairs!

    Hardwood Staircase

    Ideal stairs did a great job changing out our. Carpeted stairs and old pickets to hardwood and iron pickets. They worked hard, cleaned up every time and show3d up everyday at the time they said they would. Prices were super competitive. Thanks for everything to Mesh and the crew. Happy from Newmarket

    Newmarket stair and hardwood renovation

    We're thrilled with our new hardwood stairs which were carpeted originally and needed to be completely replaced. Rajan and his team were easy to work with and the finished product is amazing and exceeded our expectations. Rajan worked with us to ensure the stain colour would work well with our existing hardwood, was flexible throughout the process, and the team completed the job quickly and cleaned up well afterwards. I'd highly recommend Ideal Stairs.

    Refinishing an Oak staircase

    We had our staircases refinished and the team at Ideal Stairs were amazing! They did an amazing job and had great customer service! We are so thrilled with our refinished stairs. Would highly recommend.

    Excellent Stair Renovation – Staircase and Handrails

    Ideal Stairs did an amazing job renovating our stairs and handrails. We cannot be happier with our decision to go with them. They were very responsive, hard-working, and professional, paying great attention to detail, starting with our initial request for a quote all the way to the end of the job. We are very impressed with Rajan/Mesh and their team. They renovated our 3 ugly carpet stairs and yellow wood pickets and railing with beautiful oak stairs and iron balusters. They did a perfect color match for the stairs to our existing Jatoba hardwood flooring. The result is excellent!!! We would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to update their stairs.

    Stairs, hallway and room

    We're very excited, thrilled plleased and excited for the awesome job that was done. The quality of workmanship shows itself. Mesh, Rajan and their team are hardworking, professional and trustworthy, they provided quality work and service. Mesh and Rejan are on top of things and stayed in contact with us on a daily basis.
