I was amazed at the incompetence of Mr. Handyman. I intitially got a quote of 1.5 hours for the 3 tasks in my house. Not even one task out of the three was completed and after 1.5 hours I was given a bill of $250. The tasks were pretty simple and included installing a light fixture, reinstalling range hood and installing 2 tiles with a glue with no grout work. The fixture was half installed and the technician drilled multiple holes in the new cabinet of my brand new kitchen and still could not line up the screws to fix the hood. He almost sat on my glass top stove to do the work and had I not stopped he may have broken the glass on my cook stove. I can do a better job than Mr. Handyman. Since I did not want to pick a fight with the technician, I paid the invoice and immediately called the office who said that they will investigate and get back to me. Its been 3 days and I have not heard from them. I am absolutely dissapointed at the quality of service that I received from Mr. Handyman. I had read the reviews before engaging them but my experience was not good at all. I will engage someone else to complete the unfinished work. Update On June 1, 2016 : I was contacted by the Company and they have offered me a full refund. The 4 stars are for the customer service.

Yvon was our Handyman. We had a new sink for him to connect, a bunch of new lights and a cabinet to install. He was fantastic. He showed up on time, the plumbing had to be reworked but was no issue for him and he made sure the wall lights were level and cleaned up after himself. Definitely would recommend him!

Needed some help with a new range hood where the outside vent hole needed enlarging. Yvon worked diligently and got it done. I paid for half a day and had him do a few extras. Highly recommend for those jobs that you can't/don't want to do.

I needed someone to install a new under cabinet range hood. From past experience, I found it was difficult to find a contractor to come help with a small job, so I decided to give Mr. Handyman a try. They were quick to call me to set up an appointment after I filled out their online request form. The person they sent, James, was knowledgeable and courteous. After a quick assessment of the situation, he was able give us an estimate for the cost. He was efficient in his work and the final cost was reasonable. I have had no problems with my range hood to this point.

I originally used the services of Mr. Handyman to build a walk-in closet onto an existing closet in the summer of 2015. While the original work was completed on budget, after several months it became apparent that the finishing of the addition was not up to standard and the area where the wall was added on was uneven which became more apparent when painted in a darker colour. I reached out to Ron back in March 2016 regarding this matter and was pleasantly surprised to find out that this work was covered by their warranty and they arranged for an individual to come out in a few days to assess and address the work. While the individual from Mr. Handyman was on-site resurfacing the uneven wall I made arrangements through his company to perform some additional work in the walk-in closet. The work quoted was to be completed in 3 business days, however due to unanticipated complications and the individual coming in for a few hours each day, the total process took 7 days. This really made this a drawn out process and an inconvenience, as I did not always know when he was going to come back out to do another stage of work. In my opinion the process should not have taken this long as the whole closet addition was built in less time and was a more substantial piece of work. That being said the end job looks excellent. The individual cleaned up the work area very nicely and I was pleased that he addressed some minor flaws in other areas of the closet that I did not see. I am very happy with the walk-in closet. Kudos for honoring your warranty and for getting the job done right the second time. The only reason I did not give 5 stars for satisfaction was due to the quality of the original work and the length of time it took to complete the second job, however I still highly recommend Mr. Handyman.

I hired Mr.Handyman to adjust some interior door hinges and to swap an existing outdoor GFCI outlet. Rob gave me a courtesy call 30 minutes before arrival and I was pleased with the quote he gave me for the scope of work. He was able to grab the required supplies out of his truck and he finished the work within an hour of arrival. Overall, I am very pleased with the experience and would consider hiring them for similar scale jobs.

Called on Saturday. Rob was here on Tuesday. Bathroom mold removal, grouting and caulking were completed expertly. In addition other repairs done. Highly recommend and will call Mr. Handyman again, especially Rob.

Rob did a great job. We were very happy with the quality of the work. He was on time, professional and very helpful. We would recommend Rob to others for this type of work.

I had to supervise a small but urgent job for drywall removal, wall repair and painting with a tight deadline. Rob from Mr.Handyman asked the right questions, had the necessary insurance, made a good quote, worked professional and finished in time. (He even made extra place in his schedule because of the deadline) Communication and appointments were acurate, he did a great job and the site was clean when he left. Will call him again! I am a designer in the Richmond Hill area and I have used the Handyman services multiple times and I will continue to do so. They understand tasks and you get exactly what you want done to your standards. Very professional and the monetary rates are average. I have had complex jobs from lighting installations to simple jobs such as hanging photos in an arrangement and they take every job seriously. I have even had them come out on a weekend which they have generously accommodated for me. Nothing but superb customer service from beginning to end. Don't make the mistake and hiring a random that you found online. TRUST ME , Keep it simple and just call the Handyman for all your services.
