In the course of preparing our parents house for selling we discovered a minor leak in the basement. Further investigation revealed a major leaking issue that had been masked by insulation and panelling. I called three companies, of which one was a referral. Invited two to survey the problem and provide a solution. Act Fast was the referral. Colm followed up with a call prior to seeing the basement and gave detailed options including estimated costs to address the problem. Colm was extremely flexible in arranging a time and day to see the site. He was on time and quickly summarized the situation and the best option. The estimate was lower than expected and despite some add-ons Colm did not change the estimate. Colm made sure I understood every step of the process and a provided a schedule (two days) to complete the work. I wasnt confident the job could be done in only two days. Colm and Michael were unbelievable. They hammered through a reinforced concrete floor, excavating a trench and hole for the sump pump. Installed the weeping system, sump pump and attached the wall membrane. Through the entire process Colm was generous with his time when I came to see how the job was progressing and answered every question I had. What really impressed me was how tidy they left the work site at the end of day. On completion, they cleaned everywhere they had been in the basement. The room was ready to be studded. Colm reviewed what they had done and in addition proceeded to tell me how to apply for a sump pump rebate (took pictures for me) through the City of Toronto. A while latter he messaged me to see if everything was working properly. In short a fantastic job all round.

Colm and Michael are EVERYTHING you read in the reviews and MORE. We had water gushing and gushing in to our house after a large snowfall melt. We called Colm, and the second he walked in to our house, we knew we were in good hands! Colm quickly assessed our problem and recommended a solution. We had weeping tiles installed on our interior walls, and a trench dug to accommodate a new sump pump system. Colm and Michael were incredible. They made the incredibly hard work seem easy! We had to move our furnace and that meant a separate trip back to do a very small section of water-proofing. They didn't even blink an eye when we made this request; which is incredible given the amount of equipment they need to bring in a home, to do such a small job. Colm also made it VERY easy to claim our refund from the City of Toronto -- the city offers a partial refund for installing a sump pump. Colm proactively sent all the necessary paperwork, making it super easy to make my claim! There are plenty of companies offering waterproofing, but Colm and Michael impressed at every turn; and now we can finally finish our basement, knowing it'll stay DRY!

I called Act Fast Waterproofing to assess the water damage in my basement ceiling. Colm showed up the same day to look at the issue and then he told me that my basement leak would need to be addressed and fixed from the exterior of my basement and it would not fall under any of the services he offers, however, he still took his time to give me recommendations on who to call and how this leak problem could be fixed. On top of that, he also quickly fixed the side of my house where some waterproofing material started to come off. Thank you for your time, Colm. I wished I had called you to waterproof my basement prior to finishing it.

I can't say enough positive about this company. I needed waterproof my basement so I contacted 3 companies for quotes. Colm showed up when he said he would. He took time to actually looked at the work that needed to be done. Then took the time to explain what was needed and what he would be doing. We scheduled a day for the work to be done. I the discovered another problem that would put waterproofing behind a couple of weeks. Colm told me not to worry about it that he will reschedule. He showed up when he said he would. The work started immediately. His crew are hard working and very respectful. When the work was finished the clean up was great and the job was done perfectly. I can't thank Colm and his crew enough. Worth every penny.

Colm and team did an awesome job waterproofing the side exterior of our house. Colm is especially a pleasure to work with, always responding quickly, providing detailed information for the job, and ensuring we are satisfied with the work. He was on-site himself and always made sure we knew what to expect. He left the site with no mess when it was complete. He was also very fair with pricing and even reduced the total slightly when the work was easier than expected.
