When my furnace stopped functioning, late one winter night (-27C) I thought I would call the man who installed the furnace in the morning, since I turn down the heating at night, anyway. He said he would come by, and have a look. In the meantime, I cleaned the flame sensor, to no avail. When he arrived, and examined the furnace, he diagnosed, and replaced a couple of parts, including the flame sensor, with no success. Looking at the printed circuit board (on a high efficiency furnace), he said he had no experience with that part of a furnace, and that I should call someone else (much more involved, but to keep it short). I called several companies (the obvious ones, all too busy, some till next week) then went on to Homestars, and discovered Calgary Heating Services. After reading reviews, I called, and they sent someone out in a couple of hours. Mohsin looked at the furnace, and went through a series of diagnostic steps, and determined that the blower motor was not functioning, nor responding; it had died. As it was late on a Friday afternoon, and the manufacturers parts store was an hour away, he said Monday morning was the earliest he could return, unless I wanted to pay a fee to the parts store of $150 to have someone open it on a weekend. Since I declined the offer, and was already using some space heaters, he brought in a few more to help me over the weekend. He arrived promptly Monday morning, with a new DC 1 hp replacement motor, tested it before installing, and had it up and running within the hour. That was the best money I have spent in a long time. A lifesaver!!! Highly, highly recommend this company for furnace repair – experienced, well-trained, professional, polite, and very accommodating technicians.

Furnace died, they were here in under 30 min on Friday night. Very professional, good explanation, friendly. This is the 3rd time I've used CHS for multiple rental properties, always great.

Mohsin found what was wrong with the furnace and he also stopped a carbon monoxide leak in our home that we were unaware of. Thank you Mohsin! On News Eve 2017 it was minus 30 in Bragg creek when I returned home at 5 pm from a day away. It was 2 degrees in the house and the furnace was not working. I tried several companies to come help including some i had used before. I stoked my wood stoves and used space heaters to warm the house to prevent pipe freezing, and finally found CHS. Mohsin arrived and spent 2 hours trouble shooting and finally found a wire issue in the thermostat and left at 11 pm. Travel to bragg creek and 2 hours on New Years Eve was $250. Overnight the furnace once again failed to ignite. Mohsin returned in the morning on New Years Day and rewired the failed system and did not charge for the return visit out oif town. Extremely fair. Now in Calgary in an older house, we once again experienced a furnace failure. Of course i called Mohsin and he was there in 3 hours, diagnosed the problem and offered parts replacement or furnace replacement. The new high efficiency furnace was installed 2 days later efficiently and with clean up and has totally improved the warmth in our home. Big thanks! Highly recommend these guys!!!

We contacted Calgary Heating Services after having to call 911 due to a gas leak in our home. Turns out our heat exchanger had cracked.As soon as we contacted CHS they offered to bring us portable heaters and we set up a quote appointmentfor the next morning. Adam arrived right on time and was very thorough , had our quote to us in three hours. We did have two other companies give us quotes but went with CHS as they were very professional to deal with and their quote came in the same range as the other companies. We would highly recommend CHS, we were very happy with the install and clean up.

After having our furnace cleaned by a cleaning company, we were left on a cold Friday night with a none working furnace and told it was our problem. (That’s a whole other story) Well we contacted Harmony Heating and they sent a service tech out immediately. Upon checking out the furnace, he advised us that the cost to fix it after what had been done to the wiring & also due to the age of our furnace didn’t make economical sense. He apsaid he liked contact his office and have someone come out and give us a quote on gettin a new furnace. Well by now it was around 9:30 p.m. but Anthony still came out and when he arrived he came with numerous space heaters to help keep our house warm in the interim. He scooped out the situation and looked at our home in order to,help us pick a furnace that worked best for our needs. By the time he left that evening it was 11:30 in a Friday evening and he seemed not the least worried to be out helping us at that time of night. He said he would need to wait till Monday to make all the arrangements and he called back on Monday to say they would be here first thing Tuesday morning. They arrived on time, were professional, efficient and friendly. I can’t stress enough how nice it was to get such excellent service and deal with people who actually cared about their clients and the quality of service they provided. It gave us renewed faith that those type of contractors DO still exist. Thank you to everyone from Harmony Heating who helped in this process. Ingrid & Garry
