    Replace windows

    Recently we have House Smart replaced our windows in the house. There are no more fogging up of the windows, no condensation to wipe clean; when the windows are closed, the noise of traffic is reduced. There are no cold drafts and we are very happy that we can now enjoy the comfort in our home.

    Powere washing walkwasy, decks chimnay, moss removal roof, gutter cleaning.

    Excellent service - On time, good supervision of workers, thorough follow-up, very knowledgeable re areas of home maintenance, sends an email describing available products and services. No problem making a recommendation.

    Gutter cleaning, moss removal, caulking around skylights

    Ian was very helpful and explained exactly what would be need to be done. The guys who worked on the job (Rich and Paudie) were very personable and hard working. Overall, I was very impressed with the professionalism from everyone from the beginning to the end.

    Home care services

    Ian and his crew have been doing odd-jobs around our house for over 10 years - gutters, windows and other home maintenance. They have always been prompt, careful and courteous.

    gutters Window cleaning roof cleaning etc

    We have been using a Ian Ritchie and his team for many years. He keeps our house spick and span ensuring that all potential problems are kept at bay. He is honest, reliable and hard hooking. His prices are reasonable. We would have no hesitations about recommending him to others.

    Gutter cleaning, gutter guard installation

    We just moved in and wanted to install gutter guards or get the gutter cleaned as we had some large trees just outside our property. I called Home Smart a couple of weeks ago and Ian answered the phone right away. Ian came the next day to take a look and within the day after, he gave us a detailed and reasonably priced estimate. He answered all of our follow-up questions honestly. We decided to go with the cleaning and gutter guard installation. His crew came later that week when there was a break in the weather, They proactively caught and (after asking us over the phone) fixed a small leak on one of the corners of the gutter. I'm glad they fixed it and installed the gutter guards just before the second part of the heavy rains. When we got the invoice we were glad to see that Ian only charged us for the length of gutter actually used (he had originally ordered more gutter than needed and had listed the higher amount in the estimate). The charges on the invoice were clearly listed. He also sent some photo-documentation along with the invoice. We are happy with his work.

    Gutter cleaning isn't glamorous but we always aim to do it professionally so it's great to hear that you appreciate our efforts. You made a great decision on the system we installed. It makes me happy knowing you've got a great gutter system in place that actually works. Just for clarification though for people reading your review, the product we installed is called Gutter Guard Pro not Gutter Guard. Gutter Guard is a flimsy mesh that does very little and ends up costing customers more money to clean their gutters with it in because it doesn't work very well. Gutter Guard Pro keeps everything out except for fine sediment which will just wash down the extra large aluminum outlets we installed. Thanks very much for your kind words.

    Home maintenance

    We have called upon Ian Ritchie's Home Smart Home Services numerous times over the past several years. He is knowledgeable, professional, follows through in a timely fashion and hires trustworthy workers who do the job right. Recently when a wild animal damaged our roof, Ian had someone on the job within 24hours who fixed it to our complete satisfaction. A very reputable company.

    gutter cleaning/repair

    On a very rainy night my bedroom ceiling started to leak. I called Homesmart the next morning and Ian and his team were able to come out that same morning to fix the problem with the gutters. Ian is very client service focussed - he called me a couple times that day to give me updates, to check I was OK with them doing some small repairs and giving me a clear sense of what the problem was and how they planned to fix it in the most cost efficient and effective way. I would not hesitate to recomend Ian and Homesmart to friends. roy

    window cleaning, power washing, gutters

    I have used Ian Ritchie (the owner) and his crew for many years for home maintenance projects such as gutter cleaning, power washing, window cleaning and moss removal from my roof. Ian has always been courteous, fair in his pricing and helpful with questions about the house and what is needed. He is very knowledgeable about products and services and he shares this both personally as well as in his newsletter which shows up each season. It is easy to reach him and he promptly returns emails and phone calls. I have no hesitation in recommending his services in home maintenance.

    Slate tiles replaced & sealed, marble counters & floor polished, bathroom & kitchen re-grouting, granite & marble re-sealed.

    We were very pleased with Ian Ritchie from Home Smart as he coordinated all of the slate tile replacement on our outside deck, the kitchen & bathroom(s) travertine & marble cleaning & polishing, re-grouting and sealing with the other professionals that he works with. Ian is extremely courteous, conscientious and follows up on any concerns. Blackstone Marble (Rick & his son) did an amazing job polishing our master bathroom marble countertop to a lustrous finish and the travertine floor to a semi-matte finish plus they were able to repair a large crack so that you don't even notice it. They were very accommodating, working around our schedules and on the weekend to get the job done. I would highly recommend them and I've asked Ian to put us on the list for window and gutter cleaning.
