I purchased a small older 1.5 story house and the basement was less that 6 ft in a lot of places. Rock Bottom underpined and put in a structural beam and heated floors Feb 2021. We had slight delays because of the Covid-19 restrictions. But it went ahead and I am grateful it all happened before I moved in as it is a REALLY messy job. Jamie and the crew have a smooth methodology so everything went smoothly and they coordinated with the structural engineer, HVAC & plumbing contractors as required. The basement now has a washroom, laundry, bedroom and rec room.Answer from pro:

I am more than pleased to provide Rock Bottom Underpinning with a positive review from our recent project. Our experience from conception to completion was excellent. Their quote was clearly put together. All items required for a project of this type were clearly defined. Any additional cost to the project that we could decide on adding after work had started were also clearly quoted. The pricing and cost never changed for the duration of the project and e were given a 4 to 6 week timeline. Even with the pandemic and delays that were beyond their control the timeline was still met. The workers who attended our project were wonderful people. They were very nice and polite with our family, they were great with our neighbors, they were great with the public walking by, they kept the street and our shared driveway clean every day, they worked safely, kept the site organized and were overall just very pleasant people. They could not have been more professional and their work was as close to perfect as it could get. I recently spoke with the building inspector to align an inspection for the remainder of the work I was doing in the basement myself and he brought up how impressed he was with Rock Bottom’s work. I can’t believe how our basement looks now and the amount of care that went into each step of the process. At not one point of this project did I feel any stress or worry - I can’t thank Rock Bottom enough for making such a comprehensive project go so smoothly.Answer from pro:

Rockbotttom was recommended to us by our builder as very reliable and good at what they do. The project was for a 100+ year old house backing into a ravine and very close to a neighbours house, so we were worried about all the possible complications that could occur. Thankfully there were no issues, and the team at Rockbottom were able to finish the underpinning a week sooner than expected. We booked them in February for the job in March. Had we waited longer the would not have been able to fit us in till much later as they are very in-demand. We had spoken to another underpinning company prior to contracting RB, so can confirm RB pricing to be very fair. The guys there were very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. I can't say enough about Rock Bottom. We were hesitant about the cost, but they came in similar to other quotes and seemed the most professional. We were right - they handled absolutely everything, from city permits to drawings helping us plan beams and posts.. everything. The guys who dug the basement out for 8 weeks were some of the hardest working people I've seen. Jamie our account manager was so helpful guiding us through it. We have a gorgeous extra 700sq ft in our small semi and couldn't be happier!Answer from pro:

Rock Bottom were very professional from start to finish on the job we hired them for. The job consists of underpinning, excavation, slab work, new foundation and below slab drains. They were on site daily and worked diligently throughout to completion.Answer from pro:

They were professional from the beginning, easy to talk to, informative with the process, great communication. They kept an amazingly clean site, were ahead of schedule and had my neighbours smiling! haha actually, my attached neighbour (we are in a semi) and our adjacent neighbour were both raving about how great they were. I had some pretty major last minute changes they had to accomodate and did so with a smile and great advice along the way. I highly recommend and will always send my referals their way. I am a designer and a project manager for a larger renovation project for a 100 year old house. During our demo of the home from top to bottom we uncovered issues that made send to underpin the basement. Deon and Jamie at Rockbottom Underpinning were hired to handle the basement underpinning that was not expected by the home owners. They were outstanding to deal with from beginning to end ...incredibly knowledgeable and professional throughout the entire process.
